I'm not much of a coaster person but had to try this when I was there. It is extremely fun, very smooth, and over before you know it. There's no stomach feeling due to the way you are riding and how any drops are curved. If you can handle slinky dog and the end portion of test track you will be fine on this. More intimidating at first glance than it really is.

If there’s anyone who’s scared of drops (especially that “stomach sinking” feeling), you can definitely go on this. I am the biggest chicken when it comes to theme parks/roller coasters, and this one was fine for me. The only time I got the feeling that my stomach was sinking was when we went up hills, but that was because I THOUGHT there’d be a drop. Any time it goes downwards, it goes down in a curve, so it makes it not so bad. If that would still get to you, then don’t go on it. I recommend it, though! The seat is pretty uncomfortable, so it’s good it’s only sixty seconds.
Nope. It's 58 seconds to ve exact. It was smooth, but I was a tiny bit dizzy after. The story is basically a race between you and team orange, obviously a team loses the race. The first acceleration is really the key feature.
As someone who hates drops and roller coasters in general I would probably do this again before I’d do 7 dwarfs. Less drops on TRON and once you get past the initial speed up the ride is great
Magic Kingdom is lacking in the drops on roller-coasters; they generally don't have big drops. As someone who loves the drops, the roller-coasters in Magic Kingdom are lacking, but 7 dwarfs is one of the smoothest rides I have been on. Still, none of the Magic Kingdom coasters compare to The Mako in Sea World. That is the best coaster I have been on.

Wow! You recorded the launch with me in the front row! It was my first time on the ride yesterday and we randomly got front. The person in Row 2 with “Mindy” on the back of her blue shirt is my mom! LOL 1:24
@@TPMvids I was FLOORED by that launch! Had no idea it was that intense. Something totally unique for a Disney park in florida!!! When they told us we would be in row 1 I was like WHATTT.. got home and searched up a POV, yours was the first one, and I was like HOLY CRAP THAT IS US. LOL. Thanks for capturing that! How did you like it??
I am a 12 year old. When I rode this, I couldn’t comprehend what was happening during the ride. Everything happened so fast. Very short, yet still a fun ride. Also, I am subscribed and keep up the good work! :D
I hope they made them bigger than the originals in Shanghai. These had been designed with the much smaller Chinese demographic in mind. I managed to fit in, but it was really tight and I am not too much above average weight for western standards.
Hey, the good news is that by the walk up to get in line outside the ride they've installed an immobile set of the seats for people to try the fit. You pull the handlebars towards you to lower the back brace down to your back.
i just went on it a couple months ago and the seats are arent too bad actually. Theyre similar to avatar except you bend your knees more and lean forward more and the leg restraints werent too bad for me personally.
Here's a review from someone who was deathly afraid of roller coasters as a child, but in recent years has come to love them. I go to Disney World pretty much monthly, so I'm used to rides like Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Cosmic Rewind, etc. Every time I ride those, it's always thrilling and the drops feel exhilarating and terrifying (but in a good way, y'know.) I went on Tron for the first time a few days ago, and to be completely honest, I didn't really feel that way about it. Of course the ride was incredible, but I'm focusing on the feeling here. There were probably only one or two moments where I got that "scary drop feeling" and it wasn't quite as intense. It looked worse from seeing the outside part, and I thought the feeling of being hunched on the cycle would intensify it. But it was just so smooth, and pretty tame (except for the beginning). Which leads me to say that I think this would be a good ride for beginners! No rough movements, you feel pretty secure, and drops aren't too bad at all. If you're sensitive, maybe the dark part would be disorienting, as well as the height at the start. Also, forgot to mention how short it is. By the time you start getting used to the feeling it's already over. So maybe that's a bonus for some people. It's just not for me. Wasn't worth the long wait, and I probably won't ride again except for with friends who want to try it out. Still recommend though!
Its def a good intro coaster for adult coasters specifically. I think the shortness is perfect so its not too overwhelming for beginners. Cosmic rewind/everest is def on the more intense side and would skip out rockin rollercoaster due to inversions
Loved this ride! I'm from Australia and I went to Florida for a vacation with my family, decided to go to all Disney parks. Magic Kingdom was amazing and Tron was 100% my favourite
Tron is the best thing that happened ever ! the movie the music everything about this universe is sooo cool, wish the whole world was tron, dream world
As someone who doesn’t like rollercoasters, I wanted to try this one because for some reason I thought it would be pretty chill. It was not lol. The launch from 0 to 60 in three seconds was the most intense takeoff ever, and just kept getting faster when you though it was over. My friend even thought the same and she loves rollercoasters. The rest of the ride proceeded to be super faster and intense, but to my surprise, I loved it! Being seated in that forward position I think added to the intensity. I was a little disoriented for a minute after, but it was so much fun and the visuals inside were super cool. Such a smooth and fun thrill ride. It does seem a bit short, but honestly, for someone who can’t handle thrill rides very well, it was just enough time for me. I’d definitely ride it again!
This ride was actually alot of fun but very thrilling. The music got my hopes up and after the ride i was filled with joy Only if it had an extra 30 seconds it would be the best ride. But yeah, highly recommend it.
This was the first “thrill” ride I’ve ever done in my life. Up until going to Magic Kingdom this year I had never been on a roller coaster. This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. As a fan of the Tron movies this ride really did the original move justice.
I got on this ride 2 weeks ago you are definitely in your seat it locks your down even though it doesnt look that way even the brace behind the knee locks you in so well. It was such a good ride!
Can’t wait to buy a $120 dollar park entrance, buy genie plus, enter the virtual queue at 7:00 am, enter the park at 9:00, wait until genie plus tell us to our boarding group and then wait 90 min to enjoy this 1 min attraction 🤩 totally worth it
Awesome video 🙌. I rode this coaster on the last cast guest preview and it was so fast and exhilarating a short but sweet addition to Tomorrow Land 😁. Can't wait to ride it again for my next birthday this August ❤️
Just got off of it yesterday and honestly if you’re afraid or starting off with roller coasters this would be a good start because it isn’t as intense as something like cosmic rewind or the rock n roller coaster
I agree. I rode this today and I am a huge fan of Rockin Roller Coaster and the new Cosmic Rewind. I definitely think Cosmic Rewind is hands down the best ride now across all the Disney Parks as a rollercoaster. Followed in second place by Star Wars: Rise of the resistance for the experience!
The video made it look like it wasn't very fast, but the initial launch into the outside area is just about as fast as the launch for Rock n' Roller coaster
I remember going on this with my older brother back in May and with each piece of the coaster we saw, I got more and more terrified. Because of how fast it was going, I had my eyes closed for most of it. But, it’s interesting to see what was going on through the video. It was the most adrenaline pumping ride of my life, with a side of slight nausea, maybe next time I go, I can keep my eyes open for the show 😁😁😁
@@Mariig2018 There were a couple, I think that’s the reason why I felt queasy after the ride. There was one as you’re going back into the building and another somewhere in there idk.
Thank so much for the MAIN Warning on the recording method. Was not sure whether Disney was allowing wrist-mount or chesty. I will be taking a chest-mount camera then. Do you know if the chest-mount requirement is limited to this ride or for any ride?
The ride is actually just okay. The themeing is cool, but the sitting on a bike aspect is weird. The inside parts are just a dark coaster. I’d only ride it with lighting lane.
I'm a little underwhelmed as well. I think that the ride lacks a storyline, which is what creates the immersive experience and differentiates Disney rides from other amusement parks. Of course it's still a top of the line coaster though!
agree, not what expected, And I really wanted to like and have a better excuse to visit MK. Guardians at Epcot is by far the best coaster in Disney parks, Velocicoaster and hagrids also best out of Disney.
I rode this a few months ago with my sister when I went to Disney World, and it was just amazing! I just wish it were longer; that's all it needed! But, hey, if it's an awesome and phenomenal ride, I don't really care if it's short; as long as it's a thrilling ride, I love what I saw!
genuinely surreal experience… words dont describe it. that launch is unbeatable. other than its length (or lack thereof) its probably my favorite disney ride of all time.
I’m just asking a question about the ride for my future Disney trip. So I am a very small person usually on rides like this the workers strap me in to tight so what do you recommend me doing for this ride to make it a better experience
I am going on it! Editing when I go on it, it looks fun Edit: It was very fun! There arent any big drops, but I like the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Big Thunder more. I guess I could recommend those after this one for those stepping up to rollercoasters.
It's a little unfortunate they made you only use chest mounted. It was hard to tell if the ride had any loops, screws, or steep drops. I'm dying to ride this, but screws, steep drops, and loops make me motion sick. If it's line space mountain or thunder Mountain I'll be able to ride it!
I know rides at Disney are completely safe but I’m not much of a thriller person. I rode this Saturday and the launch made me so terrified because it was so fast and it gave me a horrible gut feeling 💀 I was literally so terrified I forgot what the ride looked like so I came back to this 😭🙏

@@sandygames7691 Oh c'mon, not even one single Tron movie that you're a fan of? :/
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002i like tron legacy
@@sandygames7691 Well alright then lol.
Do you feel any of the drops like in hagrids or any other rollercoaster?
This coaster doesnt have any drops
1:59: ride starting
Hello, I've watched your videos for years and I'm thinking about getting a new GoPro for my birthday in June. I was wondering which GoPro/camera you use?
Guys, im 11, i've been on this roller coaster and i should say: I was almost crying in the line, i was with my friend, we both was scared, he just abandoned me and said "im going with my mim", and another kid decided to go with me, well, i was scared and i liked that the kid tried to calm me down, whatever, the launch isnt that scary, its really fast and that's my fear, just go, trust me, i probably was like you, when the ride finished, i didnt want to leave the motorcycle because it was literally the best coaster i've been on!
Tron is like my favourite ride! it was scary at first but it was my very first ride ever!
Wow! You recorded the launch with me in the front row! It was my first time on the ride yesterday and we randomly got front. The person in Row 2 with “Mindy” on the back of her blue shirt is my mom! LOL 1:24
OMG no way!! How did you like the ride??!
@@Wewillwaitforthis Does it become less intense on the rest of the ride? Cause if this fast goes all the way I’m definitely not doing it haha
Rode it today, it is amazing! This ride is absolutely worth it!
I am a 12 year old. When I rode this, I couldn’t comprehend what was happening during the ride. Everything happened so fast. Very short, yet still a fun ride. Also, I am subscribed and keep up the good work! :D
@Bunny it’s not like test track this ride is more of a roller coaster test track is not really a roller coaster
@olufemi Ogunkoya same lol
“I am 12”
@@BunnyandMoon it was kind of like test track.
@@IceManD3 I am 12. 🤓
How tight were the seats? I heard complaints about the light cycles being too small for a lot of guests.
Are the seats like avatar? I’ve heard people complaining. I’m going on it in about 3 hours. Fast reply would be amazing!!
i just went on it a couple months ago and the seats are arent too bad actually. Theyre similar to avatar except you bend your knees more and lean forward more and the leg restraints werent too bad for me personally.
I went on this earlier today, and it’s so much fun!! I definitely recommend it! (Also, the music there is amazing)
Here's a review from someone who was deathly afraid of roller coasters as a child, but in recent years has come to love them.
I go to Disney World pretty much monthly, so I'm used to rides like Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, Cosmic Rewind, etc. Every time I ride those, it's always thrilling and the drops feel exhilarating and terrifying (but in a good way, y'know.)
I went on Tron for the first time a few days ago, and to be completely honest, I didn't really feel that way about it.
After I rode it for the first time, I realized that it was all just a little bit short, but it was still pretty fun, so I give it a 9/10
I'm not much of a rollercoaster person, but this looks sweet. I would totally ride this
I couldn’t wait to see a video about this ride 🎉🎉🎉 also did you film this because it looked amazing
I did film this!
Was it better then space mountain because that’s what it reminded me of
Swear I just teared up watching this. I love Tron so much
This ride is making me wanna rewatch Tron Legacy
Loved this ride! I'm from Australia and I went to Florida for a vacation with my family, decided to go to all Disney parks. Magic Kingdom was amazing and Tron was 100% my favourite
Its so scary when rhey count down cuz u lnow ur gonna go so fast
Tron is the best thing that happened ever ! the movie the music everything about this universe is sooo cool, wish the whole world was tron, dream world
I have been on that ride and it was SO much fun! It’s definitely one of my favorite rides now!! ❤
Best ride in Magic Kingdom, period! I rode it a few months ago, and I love it! It's a thrilling ride, even though it could've been longer.
I just watch this and I was thinking the same thing , like this ride looks like it could use more time 😅
This was the first “thrill” ride I’ve ever done in my life. Up until going to Magic Kingdom this year I had never been on a roller coaster. This was one of the coolest experiences of my life. As a fan of the Tron movies this ride really did the original move justice.
I just rode this ride at night and omg 😱 it was everything!!! 😂 I loved it!!! ❤
I got on this ride 2 weeks ago you are definitely in your seat it locks your down even though it doesnt look that way even the brace behind the knee locks you in so well. It was such a good ride!
Can’t wait to buy a $120 dollar park entrance, buy genie plus, enter the virtual queue at 7:00 am, enter the park at 9:00, wait until genie plus tell us to our boarding group and then wait 90 min to enjoy this 1 min attraction 🤩 totally worth it
Alright grumpy grandpa joe
Rode this today twice, best ride I’ve ever been on!
This looks like an AWESOME ride
I felt so nervous when the music started, but now it’s very nostalgic
Awesome video 🙌. I rode this coaster on the last cast guest preview and it was so fast and exhilarating a short but sweet addition to Tomorrow Land 😁. Can't wait to ride it again for my next birthday this August ❤️
Addition* :)
It's actually faster. Tron top speed is 60 mph, and RnR coaster is 57 mph.
@@redpillthinking6043I rode this today and felt like it wasn’t as fast as the propulsion for RnR… But there you go I’m wrong if those are the facts 😆
Does it have loops
No
I remember going on this with my older brother back in May and with each piece of the coaster we saw, I got more and more terrified. Because of how fast it was going, I had my eyes closed for most of it. But, it’s interesting to see what was going on through the video. It was the most adrenaline pumping ride of my life, with a side of slight nausea, maybe next time I go, I can keep my eyes open for the show 😁😁😁
Did it feel like any huge drops? I Can do fast just not big drops 😭
@@Mariig2018 There were a couple, I think that’s the reason why I felt queasy after the ride. There was one as you’re going back into the building and another somewhere in there idk.
@@Mariig2018Sort of. Most of the drops are also while turning, so you don’t really get the stomach drop feeling.
Hey, What day did you go on this ride?
Rode it, amazing! first ride at Disneyworld that actually looks and feels like the future! Perfect for Tomorrowland.
Are there any loops when your in the dark part of the ride? I get sick on roller coasters and I think I can do this one but I’m scared of loops😭💀
@@Emma72308 No loops. The front row is the most intense. The lights at night are super cool. Its fast but nothing too crazy.

Thank so much for the MAIN Warning on the recording method. Was not sure whether Disney was allowing wrist-mount or chesty. I will be taking a chest-mount camera then. Do you know if the chest-mount requirement is limited to this ride or for any ride?
The ride is simply too short.
Everyone is upset that it’s short even though tower of terror is about the same length but everyone loves tower of terror
This roller coaster is first seen in Shanghai Disneyland.
This ride is so incredible! I LOVED IT!! 🙌🎉
Was there a loop, I didn’t see it in the dark
Nope
The ride is actually just okay. The themeing is cool, but the sitting on a bike aspect is weird. The inside parts are just a dark coaster. I’d only ride it with lighting lane.
Anybody know if this ride is in California as well..please respond
No only in florida and china. Would be cool if california got one.
Looks great but not as long or as good as I thought it would be 😮
Hey TPM would you be okay if I used some of this footage for a video?
I was underwhelmed. The outdoor queue at night is the best part about it
Excellent! One less person in line in front of me! Thank you! :-)
@@Floridafanatic28I'm going to ride it again when it opens. It took a couple rides on GOTG for it to click.
@Floridafanatic28 you can keep it.
I rode this a few months ago with my sister when I went to Disney World, and it was just amazing! I just wish it were longer; that's all it needed! But, hey, if it's an awesome and phenomenal ride, I don't really care if it's short; as long as it's a thrilling ride, I love what I saw!
I'm not saying it looks horrible, but if I waited over an hour for this, I'd be disappointed.
genuinely surreal experience… words dont describe it. that launch is unbeatable. other than its length (or lack thereof) its probably my favorite disney ride of all time.
Just rode this today! It is so awesome! Seeing it on video is also a blast and I’m already excited to go on it again! Thanks for filming this!
What park did you go to because I was just in disney in Florida and the ride wasn’t available
@@Patrick-i7x6d in the Florida park. You needed to register and get special access to see Tron, as it officially opens later this spring.
Are you putting pressure on the knees. I have knee problems and was wondering if this ride would hurt my knees?
Such a fun ride, yeah it’s a bit short but Magic Kingdom really needed a ride thrilling like this.
I’m just asking a question about the ride for my future Disney trip. So I am a very small person usually on rides like this the workers strap me in to tight so what do you recommend me doing for this ride to make it a better experience
I am going on it! Editing when I go on it, it looks fun
Edit: It was very fun! There arent any big drops, but I like the Guardians of the Galaxy and the Big Thunder more. I guess I could recommend those after this one for those stepping up to rollercoasters.
Is this new or the old space mountain??
It's a little unfortunate they made you only use chest mounted. It was hard to tell if the ride had any loops, screws, or steep drops. I'm dying to ride this, but screws, steep drops, and loops make me motion sick. If it's line space mountain or thunder Mountain I'll be able to ride it!
One of the first times I was generally surprised and happy on a roller coaster! Can’t wait to go back and do it again.
Too short. Impossible to ride without addition purchase of a special speed pass $29. So $180 for a day pass, plus pay more just to ride. Rip-off!!
Me and my wife loved it!! So much fun!! Definitely will go back on that next time we go to Disney World!!
First
Does this go upside down?
is there any new music/mixes in the ride? or is it rehashed from the movie score, id love to know
This was so fun! It took forever for us to get on though! Virtual queue required. 😍🙃
I know rides at Disney are completely safe but I’m not much of a thriller person. I rode this Saturday and the launch made me so terrified because it was so fast and it gave me a horrible gut feeling 💀 I was literally so terrified I forgot what the ride looked like so I came back to this 😭🙏
