It's time for Wheelford's spectacular fireworks festival. Fred Whizzbang is in charge of the fireworks and Hank and Helen are heading up the fire patrol. Ricky asks Hank and Helen is they can help them. Hank trains Ricky and the buddies in fire rescue so they can be part of the fire crew. Toot and Buster are given the job of fire lookout in the Rescue Pod. Ricky is given water jets, Loop has a water cannon, DJ a fire platform, and Scootio's Zoomcam becomes an awesome fire flying fire alarm. The buddies find the training hard but Ricky's skills are put to the test when Fred's Fireworks Circle actually goes on fire. Ricky jumps through the fire and manages to put it out, but the buddies realise they need more practice. Just as the fire is completely out one of the fireworks 'The Big Kabooma' launches into the sky. Ricky and the buddies race off to find it before it causes a fire.
It's xmas time in Wheelford and the buddies show the forest fairy the meaning of xmas. They meet Maxwell who isn't feeling Christmassy at all this year. When they meet Santacycle the fairy climbs into his trailer filled with presents. Santacycle takes off and soon the buddies see presents falling out of the sky. They realise they need to find all of the presents! When they catch up with the forest fairy they find out why he was looking through all of the presents. He was looking for Maxwell's present to cheer him up. They realise the meaning of xmas is being kind.
