Such a shame to park an as-new dragline...which is the #1 machine that is cut for scrap? Btw nice video as always ;-)
Michael, this is one of four machines that are probably all going to the scrapper's torches. Sad but a fact of the times I'm afraid. Nobody wants big draglines any more it seems.
@@parkfarm233 Very sad to hear that Ensham open pit is shutting down, even more after all the effort that was put into rebuilding DL01...Yeah, I know that's been quite a while ago ;-)
Maybe today's mining engineers don't learn about the benefits of draglines, but there are definitely enough sites to keep every single one running if only they wanted to...

@@bethanyhaskiell9116 All the Ensham draglines have been for sale for sometime, but nobody seems to want them.

Great video of a great machine Loza. One of the best and still in good condition thanks to you and the team at Ensham. A real pity about the end of life, but that's mining I guess. Still the best place I ever worked.

Any chance of a walk around the engine room. I’ve always wanted to see one up close. But closest I will ever get is seeing the boom from the highway in the hunter
