I had a cockpit video long ago of a 1-26 flight of mine at Krey Field, CA. I had the (old, large, heavy) video camcorder mounted on the horizontal strut behind the seat. The landing looked like a ride on a shake table, a total disaster, because of the lack of shock mounting. It was not what I remembered. This looks good, happy to see you had a successful flight.
You should post that video if it still exists! Can't be many of those :) The 1-26 is so much fun, can't wait to fly it again, the weather refuses to cooperate so far...
You did a good job of finding the sink and circling in it. Here's a tip: maintain consistent airspeed when hunting for lift. This was a roller coaster ride that had you starting a steep bank every time you burbled up. I'm also surprised by your dive bomb/strafing run final approach. Are you a retired Warthog pilot?
