you should have mentioned the size of the circle and the particle emitter.. with the default settings, this effect didn't work.. it only worked when I resized the circle spline a lot smaller
Just clicking on the object spline, instead of circling your pointer, and your tag could've helped without taking up any more time while providing your settings. Knowing the size of the circle spline has a dramatic effect on results. I started with the default spline size which wasn't even close to your results. Then I went over the video multiple times trying to figure out why I wasn't getting the same results. Nothing, so reducing the circle to 50cm produced some results.
You can directly use a field inside the field force. The vector curl operator is only available in the volume builder in vector mode though. That's why he did a little detour.
For some weird reason, my emitter is not getting curl as demonstrated in the video even though I have followed all the steps exactly as mentioned in the video. It seems the emitter is not being affected at all by the field force and the other settings.
@@carrotspell Hi friend, thanks for your response. Could you please explain this a bit more as I could not understand this to resolve my issue so far. The only thing I noticed is that in this example as soon as he added the volume builder it seemed to have covered the spline and emitter object whereas in my case the the random field was in the center of spline without blocking it completely. The curl noise effect does not seem to affect my emitter though which is bothering me.
@@HappyAnimals3D i don`t know how his volume builder covered the spline and emitter object. maybe it depend on c4d version or his previous parametrs. the problem is that such tutorials are presented as constants, not taking that something may not work when repeated. just scale your VB bigger then circle spline(0:55). and alwayse read the comments under video)) thanks for @typeXYZ.

Thanks a lot. It resolved my issue also.
What size is your circle spline and emitter?
obviously the emitter needs to be inside the volume for the particle paths to be affected by the volume buddy boi
Our boy Jonas is now bald!!!!??????What? My world is Voronoi fractured....
Nice tip and great reference on using fields and native particles in Cinema4D! Cheers!

omg! your comment more amazing that fuckin` tutor
sorry. *fuckin` awesome
I wish we could use these features in R19
I know, it’s hard buying the product and pirating a old version that cannot be updated

amazing tips, like always !! thanks
Wow! Amazing! Congratulations from Spain :)
Very nice, thank you! I tried doing this with Thinking Particles and couldn't make it work. Does it only work with standard particles?
Can you add Vector Curl to Hair dynamics?
astounding.
Великолепно!) 👍

Why the random field is inside a volume builder ? I thought you could just drag a field into the field force.

Wow!
nice one
Thank you, this is a very cool tip, I will use it in my work.
How do you animate the Emitter particles onto the Circle?
He attached a spline path tag to the emitter and used the circle as a spline path and finally keyframed the animation %age from 0 to 100.

volume builder must being bigger then circle spline.
if actually)

Nice, but it is a long process plus it requires a lot of computer processing. I can get a better result with just 3 clicks using Insydium X-particle.
