This version of "Jungle Book" is so much better than the others! Deserves a second watch, and even a third! ❤❤❤
And after a while, maybe a fourth.
As a kid, the quicksand scene scared the hell outta me. 30 years later, it still does
The Jungle Book 1994 movie is better than Jungle Book 2016. In my opinion.
Definitely
1942 movie is the best
@kzkr695 it's nice. But it's not Disney.
@@vicentehizon6202 does not have to be Disney. Cinema is an art, bro.
💯
R.I.P Stephen Sommars. You were a legend in your own way, ya know. As you always will be, ya know. Rest easy, king.🙏
He isn’t dead!😅 had me worried there!
U spelt his surname wrong. It's "Sommers", not "Sommars" lol 😆
@@Lulubelle545 Yes, Stephen Sommers is still alive. He's 62 & doesn't seem to have aged.
No, this is not a tarzan movie. It's a faithful telling of the jungle book 😊
A true masterpiece that has stood the test of time and always will forever. Just like legends of treasure itself tbh, I guess.
1:38:25 "Strength of a Bear,
Speed of a Panther,
Heart of a Wolf,
and very sharp teeth!" 👏
1:38:33-1:38:53 🗡️
"Very sharp teeth of a tiger" 🐅 (shere khan)
"What is hate, what is enemy?" Powerful words! ❤️
I grew up as a kid. Watching this movie in this will be the only Jungle Book movie. I will ever love.
Not me, I grew up as an old man. It's called Benjamin Button syndrome.
Kitty's father, Colonel Brydon, is played by Sam Neill. He was Alan Grant, from my favorite movie, Jurassic Park.
It’s funny how one year later since Jurassic Park was released on 1993 he looks just like the same in this movie also it sucks that Sam Neil has to play characters who failed to kill animals first it was in Jurassic Park where failed to kill a velociraptor, and now it’s in the jungle book where he failed to kill Shere Khan.
I thought it was a young tom selleck ut wasn't sure since it doesn't sound quite like him
Sam Neil also played villain Damian Thorn
When I was a kid him being in this was one of the reasons I was excited to see it. The Jungle Book was what he did right after Jurassic Park.
Best jungle story I’ve watched 👍
I read the actual book, and it sucked
Watch George of the Jungle next!
@@Paolo-qe7lc Good choice👍
This one was unique. Not to mention, a British army amongst the Indian village led by the respectable Col Geoffrey Brydon. And new enemies such as Capt William Boone, Lt john Wilkins and Sgt Harley.
@paulmacartney8266 it's funny how it's kitty avoiding being kissed by mowgli, normally with puppy love it's in reverse with the little boys screaming and running if a girl tries to kiss them 😂
I'm kinda liking the fact that Mowgli does earn Shere Khan favor in the end. It's a nice new twist, especially with an animal as majestic as the tiger.
I forgot how good this movie is. Good cast as well. Cheers for sharing. 🙂
This is my favorite jungle book. But have you ever noticed that this is basically just Indian Tarzan?
That is true! I want to become a Tarzan stuntman. Did you ever see George of the Jungle?
@@Paolo-qe7lc I’ve seen all the Tarzan movies I think!
The Jungle Book was written first in 1894. Tarzan was written afterwards in 1912. More like Tarzan is basically non Indian Mowgli.
@@alisontejeda3270George of the Jungle is like Tarzan, but George vine swings into trees.
@@Ohm521 1:26:39 that’s what I have in my opinion.
The villains are so one-dimensional they make Shere Kahn look like genuine protectors of the jungle by comparison.
a movie from my childhood. Lena Headey is an absolute beauty and Jason Lee Scott is fabulous
I agree.
Wish they Put this on Disney plus.
They won’t unless they edit out a lot of stuff. I grew up on this movie and loved it but some dialogue may be considered offensive to others.
Me too!
I'm so happy they put the full movie on UA-cam 😁😄 love the movie❤❤
It's a classic not to mention all the whole British army introducing additional characters, Col Brydon, his friend, Dr Plumford, the evil Captain William Boone, Lt john Wilkins & Sgt Harley.
Mowgli's love Interest is the colonel's daughter, Kitty Brydon. The new jungle guide replacing nathoo is Tabaqui. Tabaqui is named after shere khan's jackal henchman, Tabaqui. And there's Buldeo of course, the village leader & cruel hunter.
This is my fav version of Jungle Book, the best made in my honest opinion. A childhood fav and a personal treasure, thanks so much for putting this on 👍
The scene where old mate gets trapped in the sand, which becomes his tomb, absolutely terrified me as a kid... nightmares for years. This is the first time seeing it again nearly 30 years on and I can see why I felt such terror.
Dude the tiger was terrifying
This is where I learned of quicksand, and forever feared accidentally coming across it
Years ago, I realized the specific details of Shere Khan’s role. When the narrator says that Sher Khan was to be the jungle’s royal keeper, it’s then I realized that his mandate is to deliver justice to those who break the law of the jungle. The only way that changes is if someone gets in his way, such as with Mowgli's father. I just kinda wish he had gotten Buldeo for his earlier transgression.
I remember this movie when I was young at the time I'm 17 year's young.its a beautiful ❤️ movie.
I've been looking for this movie for decades!!!
1:34:05 me too
Me too!
Beautiful movie. Best jungle book adaptation in my opinion. I wish I had seen this back in 1997 when I was four years old. I was gifted the interactive PC game based on this movie so I was only able to see some of the FMV clips of this movie and I had wanted to see the entire movie since. I didn't know how to ask for or find the movie itself, so this was long something unfulfilled in my early memories. Fast forward 27 years later and finally I got to see it. It was way better than I expected. Thank you so much for uploading.
Underrated adaptation and a great film with Jason Scott Lee fine ass
What a great cast. Consistenting of Bruce Lee, Westley, Cersi Lannister, Alan Grant and Basil Fawlty. That quicksand scene is still chilling to this day.
Grow up with this movie in casette
My favorite movie of all times. I wish can watch more movies with Jason Scott Lee.
He voiced David in Disney's Lilo & Stitch.
My personal opinion. This movie is one of the best family movies with real animals in it. In today's cinematography it would take a massive Budget only in animal specialist. So all the producers will go to special effects to save money.
OO oof into it but it's still in a 5
WOW!! A definite GEM of a movie!! I read "The Jungle Book" over and over a hundred times as a child, wishing to become Mogli, and one with nature. This movie surely brought it to life for me!! Excellent acting on all parts, excellent storyline and excellent production!! 10/10 from me!!❤❤❤❤
I will shame your house no more…. That line always get me.
The Best Jungle book movie❤ this movie is my childhood
My Favorite Jungle Book movie.
besides the fabulous cast, great characterisation and location setting, the best part actually is the ending. Sher khan isnt the bloodthirsty villain as he is made out to be
I have not seen The Jungle Book in awhile I mean a long long time. I used to watch this movie all the time. I had forgot about it until now. This is 1 movie that needs to stay on youtube for free
i remember watching this movie when it first came out - still a great movie.
The best version of The Jungle Book.
It’s like Tarzan style in this movie.
Unlike the other adaptions. There's no British army which introduces several members of the cast alongside the Indian village.
I like the old cartoon and this one, this is my favorite jungle book live action ❤❤❤
I enjoyed watching this already classic movie. I highly recommend, thank you for uploading this.
Fun fact, the guy who trained most of these animals lives only about 20 miles from me. This movie was shot primarily in the lowcountry of South Carolina.
WHO CARES
@@Mildredpotka Gosh, it's just a fun fact, what is wrong with you?
My favorite actor was King Louis the orangutan.
How long could it have taken them to train those emotions out of him.😅.he is great
I was today years old when I realized Kittys dad is Alan from Jurassic Park
19:04 The orangutan is my favorite primate. 🦧🦧🦧🦧
King Louie Won A FRIEND
The best jungle book!
I have to disagree even though I am a big fan of Sam Neill and John Cleese as well as Jason S Lee. The Korda brothers version of 1942 with Sabu is still my fav.
This was my favorite jungle book version ❤
Please keep this movie on here. It’s the best
Rifle 6:32, Helmet 6:33, Soldier 6:35. "Drop dead" 😮
Isn't the book, The Jungle story the same inspiration that Sir Baden Powell used for the creation of the Boy Scouts legend?
A fantastic legacy it is. Be Prepared and always leave a place cleaner than it was when you got there. ❤ Scouts Honor.
This used to be my movie!! 😂 Used to watch it on tape lol Had the biggest crush on Mogli back then. He was so fine
"And then, Mowgli and Sarah Connor had a baby. And for many decades after that, SkyNet kept sending robots back in time, in repeated attempts to kill their baby while he was still a child..."
Lol
3rd time is the charm.
Such a great story.
Thank you all who had anything to do with creating this and sharing this wonderful production.
I love this movie its nice
Love this movie I have seen it since childhood and I love it, it never gets old.
1:11:23 underrated scene 🤍
This was by far the best movie of the jungle book / simple and classic
i loved this film Just enough comedy and adventure
Every movie, Sam Neil is in, is always a brilliant film.
Proud to be A KIWI
Lol right? I forgot he was in here, not just the JP movies lol
I find this version of the Jungle book turns out to b the most interesting because of the British Raj of India. Massive army of british soldiers under Colonel Geoffrey Brydon. New villains aside from Buldeo the cruel hunter such as the evil 😈 Captain William Boone & his sidekicks, Lt John Wilkins & Sgt Harley. Rudyard Kipling, author of the Jungle book 📖 🌴🌿🌱 was born in british India 🇮🇳 The new jungle guide, Tabaqui is named after shere khan's henchman,Tabaqui the jackal.
A little Indian boy becomes Jason Scott Lee with bangs. GENIUS
Thank you! Great movie
1:30:55 MOWGLI: Follow him! Follow King Louie to your treasure!
yo mama
Sometimes, he sounded like Jackie Chan.
My very favorite Jungle Book film! Interviews at the time of release said the animals really liked Jason Scott Lee.
I love this movie

I like this movie better then the new version i remember watching this movie as a kid
8:09 The tiger is my favorite animal. 🐅🐅🐅🐅
Shere Khan Befriends Mowgli at the end
Yes, @@emmanuelcaceres3360. Fancy shere khan as a supporting character instead of a villain.
Great audio, images and actors. They do not make movies like this anymore.
Thanks for that movies I hope there are more learn about.,it's a good movie for all watching audiences and terrifically and an it's a like environment friendly, thanks
[Bill] What do you think you have that I don’t? Huh? [Mowgli] Strength of a Bear…Speed of a Panther…Heart of a Wolf!…And very sharp teeth.
1:19:22 Wilkins & Harley sigh in relaxation. The jungles all quiet 🤫🤣 until.........1:19:30, 1:19:34 Shere khan🐯🐅was heard 😳 "Tiger!" 🤣
Ah. I remember that movie. I miss that so much.
This shows us that human,s greed results in his death
I'd seen this a few years ago, then couldn't find it again. This is my favorite version of The Jungle Book. Little Mowgli is such a cute boy. Too bad the sound went out. Poor editing.
Although he had it coming, the part where buledo got buried alive in the sand and trap was too scary for me.
As I kid I thought he was crushed. It wasn't until got older I realized he was buried alive.
superb movie Mach better than the new 2016 version
I agree!
Mowgli & kitty 5:05 - 4:09 15 years later (at least) 27:20 - 27:28.
Mowgli gives kitty flowers & tries to kiss 💋 😘 her but kitty flees.
5:46 Baloo 🐻, 5:54 Bagheera🐈⬛ & 6:07 Shere khan 🐯🐅 but if u look more closely at here 5:53 & 6:04, I think we can c Kaa the snake 🐍
Nathoo: "Now then, can u tell me who *this* is?" (Points at a snake in the picture)
Mowgli: "kaa. Snake"
Nathoo: Good 👍
Lena Headey did this movie, with Jason Scott Lee? I had no recollection of this, this is crazy. 😄
She worked here as Kitty
1:05:47 That was a sin. It must've felt so humiliating for him. Poor mowgli ❤
😦😢
1:37:24 "Touche!" 🗡Lol 😆
I love this movie so much.😊
I remember watching this as a child ❤ nice to watch it once again, 😊
Love this movie
Its a childhood classic

40:51 First kick
1:10:16 Second kick
He deserves a third 😉
Deadpool: Cock shot.
*THANK YOU FOR POSTING! BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOREVER!!* ❤❤❤❤❤❤
this is what the British did in real life in India 😂😂😂
True. I fell in love with a British guy.
Yup
Very good but I think the one with Sabu was better! Great flick!
7:23 - 7:26 I like Colonel Brydon & his wise course of action 🎬 when theres a tiger 🐅 🐯loose in the encampment. It was shere khan!
I can’t tell you how much i love this movie. I still own the VHS copy of this one. When my mom went to the store she said we could buy any movie at the store. I wanted to get the jungle book (animated) but it was sold out but there was this version and i pouted a bit but got it anyways. I started watching it, and i loved it so much, i watched it for a week non stop after school, anytime i had free i would watch this movie.
This Adaption of the Jungle book was unique. There were alot more characters than in the original novel. A British army of soldiers led by Col Geoffrey Brydon. The Colonel is given a friend, Dr Julius Plumford as well as a daughter, Kitty who serves as mowgli's love ❤️ interest. And new enemies, The evil 😈 Capt William Boone & his sidekicks, Lt John Wilkins & Sgt Harley. Buldeo is pretty much the only human character apart from mowgli that appeared in the novel. His friend, Tabaqui is named after shere khan's henchman, Tabaqui the jackal. Haven't u noticed any of this?
Sersei wasnt so evil back then
Woowww! Sooo Stephen Sommers!
1:36:35 he look like he owned this treasure lol
No. He just became insane with greed.
1:31:00 Missed him by a mile 😆
8:54 - 9:02 Kitty's father could've saved mowgli's father but the bullets in his rifle were jammed. Bad luck!
Disney's first live action attempt at The Jungle Book. I remember it being promoted as a kid with scenes from the animated film. Although it lacks the famous songs (apart from John Cleese jokingly referencing 'The Bear Necessities' during the party scene) there was actually a cover of 'Trust In Me' recorded for it by the band Blues Traveler which I recently found online. It's brilliant! Really should have been included.
So much better without the talking animals and song & dance of the Disney version. I think Rudyard Kipling would approve.
I enjoyed this movie so much, I would mind sitting down and watching it again some day with my grand kids ....if my children give me some grand children ❤❤❤❤
The old one is better like the thief oh bagdad all the talking animals
This “adaptation” has absolutely nothing in common with Kipling’s work aside from keeping the characters’ names. He wouldn’t approve of it as an adaptation.
I barely remember this incredible movie, definitely better than the remakes lol
😅@@vickycompton9578
1:39:06 MOWGLI: Kitty! Come! We must go! Quickly!
yo mama
1:39:07 Kitty: Mowgli, we have to some of the treasures. 1:39:09 Mowgli: These treasure only brings death!
2:54 Buldeo, the cruel hunter & two soldiers. Its all his fault shere khan is stalking them 3:33 🐅🐯
