Regarding not picking Demidov at #2 and comps to Kucherov. Everyone forgets that Kucherov was a late 2nd round pick. You don’t always have to get that elite forward with a top 3 draft pick.
You’re right even superstars can be drafted in the 5,6 and 7th rounds. It’s how hard they work. Duncan Keith wasn’t in the first round and we all know how great he became.
What you say about Keith and Seabrook make the point to play the young guys and let them develop with the NHL team.
Super excited for training camp for the roster battles to see where guys end up on opening night. I think you guys are right, Bedard and Vlasic are the only young guys that have a guaranteed spot on this roster. How will Korchinski do? How will Reichel and Nazar do? Will they light it up and earn that opening night spot or do they need more time. This is an awesome problem to have. Don’t get me wrong I can’t wait to see these guys light up the NHL, but if they need to play in Rockford so they can come into the league and dominate, I’m all for it. This teams playoff window does not start next year, it probably doesn’t start until the 2026-2027 season. Let the guys grow and gain valuable experience so when our window opens, there will be sustained success for years to come

I want to see the young defensemen play with team. I don’t care about giving Martinez and Brodie ice time. We are still developing. I don’t care if they are slightly better than Korchinski and Kaiser.
Bringing up Bertuzzi's vaccination status (when it's completely irrelevant to the Hawks in 2024) over and over again is getting old real quick. Not to mention comparing him to a player he doesn't share anything with except his last name. But at least that has to do with hockey.

Signing Martinez and Brodie just Barries young guys in Rockford. “Marinating” guys in Rockford doesn’t do anything for guys like Kaiser, Phillips, Allen, ect. Davidson saying theirs no stops taken is just bullshit. Ur not gonna bench Brodie or Martinez for Kaiser or Allen or whoever.

Korchinski was overwhelmed last season and he looked beaten down at season’s end. There was no reason to have a teenager playing defense on one of the worst teams in the league. In fact the last goal against of the season vs Los Angeles sums up his season. He’s on the ice to start OT. The Kings win the draw and the Kings player goes right at him. He just keeps backing up never tries to make play on the puck carrier and the player scores easily. Down goes Korchinski’s head which was a very common sight last season and that’s how the season ended. He should have been playing in the WHL and not the NHL.
I think he said without saying, he is going to Rockford.

Davidson is terrible and will be rebuilding still 5-7 years from now. He could have signed Kane back this off season for 4 years at 5 million and he would be able to finish out a Blackhawk but NO cause this clown thinks he know what’s best. We have a long road ahead to even being a playoff team let alone a cup contender. Oh and another thing he keeps refusing to give long term contracts cause of the Seabrook one Bowman blew, but free agents won’t come to Chicago if they can only get 3 or 4 years that is why we only got Tuevo and Bertuzzi as better than average NHLers. And I have ZERO clue how he thinks Marazek is a #1 goalie never has been even with the fact he played well last year.

Stop it with they should signed Kane. Let him compete for a 4th cup. You need to chill out and understand are developing young players. We signed players that have playoff experience and can take a spot in the lineup. if a player needs to develop another player can take his spot. That’s called depth. if a young player is ready to make it to the NHL the veterans can teach them how to be a pro on and off the ice. A rebuild is a process and a pain in the ass. But it’s worth it when everything falls into place.

Eiserman dropped 20th in the draft. That should tell you how many GMs did not think too highly of Eiserman. So, Hawks really did not pass up on someone who will be good for sure,

He was more bad than good. He wasn’t an NHL caliber defenseman last season. Hopefully his confidence wasn’t ruined by rushing him to the NHL.
@@paulciavardoni8069 Korchinski had not the best start to his NHL career and I’m sure he knows he can be better. Every player is developed differently. Some need time and some are ready for the NHL. Korchinski should start in the NHL but I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes down to Rockford.
He should only start in the NHL if he wins the job in training camp. With the veterans the Hawks just signed as competition I see him starting in Rockford.
