This is just ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!
From the stunning decorations both on the interior and exterior, to the incredible great room with that amazing fireplace.
The layout and everything is SO good, even the diagonal garage just makes it look a million times better!
I also LOVE the fun little things, such as the dog area, the bathroom in the laundry room, the loft areas and so many more details and stuff.
Also that extraordinarily pretty arch feature where the roof’s edges meet...
everything is so well thought out, and it all comes together as this stunning masterpiece.
I also adore the height differences on the outside, with those rocks, and that amazing fireplace sitting area...
I am just AMAZED by how stunningly beautiful this home is.

You’re looking at about 1.5 million in a good area when it’s all said and done. Just for those who are wondering. It depends where you live, land costs, landscaping, septic, taxes, shipping, well costs, etc. It was 790k plus all of those necessities. 1.5 million is accurate for a home like this in the state of Utah. More depending where your lot is. Oh, let’s not forget furnishing and appliances! Yes, you’d need to own your own company and be successful making around 350-500k per year to live comfortably in a home like this. You’ll also need good credit unless you’re rich enough to buy everything outright.
You’re pretty spot on. It didn’t cost 1.5 million where Zach built, but it could in other areas of the country.

This home is amazing, but what is most beautiful is the history of this family, their love for their craft, their customers and each other. I am so impressed with Zach's knowledge and persistence. You don't plan, design and see a massive project like this through without talent, drive and determination.
While many are commenting on money - that's really not the story here. Because you can have money and lack the other beautiful, foundational elements that made this home a reality.

Agreed...all said and done . Knowing this man will enjoy his home for the rest of his life after visualizing it and then being able to see the end product is great. That shower is absolutely INCREDIBLE... I love showers and have a thing with giant shower heads , round , abnormally large shower heads. I find them incredible .

Pfff... I bet the air system in this place circulates air and filters out dust better than most places. If you can build this, you can afford a cleaner every once in a while..

IKR... I used to be a house cleaner and cleaned many houses like this one. Sooooooo much dust everywhere and also mold in the bathroom in the grout between the tiles... not even a cleaner every week can tackle it all.

If I am being honest... During the interior design video where he's walking through the showroom making decisions on accents, fixtures and whatnot I kept thinking to myself that the end product wouldn't look very good. I am stunned at how incredible the final version is. It's a beautiful home with amazing accents, flooring, counters and cabinetry. There are very few design changes I would have made, but the after product is incredible.

I love how I just sat and binged on this series when I had stuff to do. I feel so satisfied after watching this video about the finished house, lol when the work on this house started I DID NOT imagine it'd turn out this good, when they started the interior, I was like 'too much wood, they're overdoing it' lol but when it finished, it's just so fab wow. I love and appreciate people's passion for custom homes. I just hope I earn enough to make a house like this one day

Great video series. Contains a good amount of detail so the viewers aren't entirely in the dark while not overloading their minds. The narrative had a nice that sounds like a comfortable conversation.
I love how you were able to integrate modern innovations such as the smartphone compatible locks into a house that is made in the rustic industrial style. The insight to also have those window wells is smart in the case of a house fire.
Now that aside, I am curious as to how the trusts affect the roofs, because if I remember correctly, Zach stated that he chose the decorative route to save costs.
Last but not least, this video was nice as it clarified to me the building process of a stand alone house. It also helped solidify my confidence in the strength in wood.( For some reason I think every material is weak, hence why my dIY ceramics are all very thickly made)

You can really see the influences he grew up with around him projected through his dream house. He spent a lot of time learning the family trade, and looking up to his grandparents who started the business.

You know, most log cabin style homes are usually cool looking, but a lot of the time it just looks more like a hunting lodge than a home, and can feel a bit tacky to live in full time. But this home will the contrasting styles and materials really came out amazing. I love all the attention to details for ease in everyday life and use of the main areas. Lots of great ideas which have inspired me to incorporate into my home build. Man what a house, oh y'all forgot to include the price of a massive build like this......??? $$$

Very very nice home. Lot of trees had chopped to make this house
The trees are individually selected from sustainably managed forests - in accordance with the Forest Stewardship Council standards. I absolutely love your home and it ticks 2 of the main boxes for me. It has incredible open floor space with high ceilings and it has loads and loads of charm. It's always a challenge incorporating modern technology into a rustic home and these situations are scary to approach when designing because it can always be hit or miss. You managed to find the perfect blend without losing any of the homes true personality and the house itself is just stunning, each and every room. Thank you for sharing this because it's so rare to see homes with such character today. I always say a home is not a place, it's a feeling. So as long as you walk in and feel that comfort and joy, take solace knowing that every cent you spent was worthit in the end. Your house is beautiful! I love the style and finishes. Well thought out. And to all the downers, why do people get down on people who create a successful business and are able to enjoy the fruits of their hard work. It’s always a good thing to have the next generation continue and grow the business and don’t forget the added jobs and revenue that business generates. Sheesh. The poor me syndrome runs rampant sometimes.

the plans on their website are surprisingly reasonable cost. I looked at another one of their videos and they said about $569k for it (plus land costs).
This is the most incredible creation I’ve ever seen, amazing job. The entire production was so clean and crisp and just felt great watching. Can you give us a ballpark dollar amount for something like this? Just to give us a reference point. Thank you

Good to know the price point, thanks. However, I am surprised the price went up that drastically for the ultra custom. It practically doubled. And, Zach didn’t have the basement finished. I want this build quality on this floor plan with a finished basement but near $700-$800k. I may be contacting you soon to find out if it’s possible.

Those Basement windows, what happens when snow, or rain gets in there? Is it heated so the snow would melt? Is there a drain? Or is it just natural dirt under the rocks that allows for the runoff or snow/water to just drain naturally into the ground? Also will you show off the basement, It'd be cool to see what you did with the space.
Overall very nice home and was fun to watch it being built and the process of designing it as well. Also cool to see you narrate it as you are the Home Owner 👍

I can imagine my heart would be so happy if I lived in a house similar to this, the scenery, everything, he presented it in such a way that I could remember nearly every detail, the touch taps, (Irish way of saying faucet). And the water taps in the garage to clean his muddy truck, the list goes on..

Love the garage with the drain and yes the mudroom/ Laundry room greeting you as you come in from the garage is perfect! That's exactly how I would design it. I would have put one of those Shower stalls to rinse off dirty kids or pets as they come in from a day of sports like soccer/Football/Baseball/Fishing/Hutning. Just try and keep all the dirt away from the main living areas.
For a house that size I would have installed built in vacuum cleaner system to sweep dirt into the integrated system in the base boards.
