    Solar Water Heater Issues & Solution -
    1) No hot water when used with time gap
    2) How much hot water is inside Solar system?
    Using pre-feed tank, so that if you use water the tank gets filled in with cold water, instead of that
    pre-feed tank will fill main tank with hot water thus overall temperature drop will be far less
    so instead of using one big system of say 200 L use 100L 2 systems in series.
    this ensures only drop of 1 or 2 degrees instead of 4-5 degrees
    ==== I am showing simple math here ====
    Only 1 tank system 200L -- take out 30 L in evening,
    water temp 55 Degree, ambient 15 degree .. so removal of 30L in evening will cause
    addition of 30L at 15 degree C to 55 deg C water ..
    whereas in 2 tank system you add 55 deg cen water in main tank and
    pre-feed tank water temp reduces, not the main tank
    so as an example get 100L as prefeed and 100L as main tank .. www.indiamart.com/surajentp-p...

    Hi can you suggest where to buy a Pre Feed tank in Pune or any other location?

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  10 місяців тому

      Certainly! You can consider using a pre-feed tank from an older 50 or 100-liter system, as many people tend to discard these systems. A good approach is to search on platforms like OLX or get in touch with solar professionals who install new systems; they might be able to provide you with an old system at a scrap price. Another option is to visit places like Morwadi (PCMC) where there are large scrap yards, giving you the chance to find a used system.
      By following this strategy, you can keep your investment low while gaining a lot in return.
      If these options don't work out, you can always resort to buying a new 50-liter system as a pre-feed tank.

    Sir namastey.I want to fit solar from 3rd floor to down floor with out drilling slab. how can plumbing work suggest me piping Which type can be used.your pipes are looking flexible. Our plumber told that without drilling it's not possible.so please help me this out. Suggest any flexible pipe from terrace to ground floor for a single bathroom direct connection.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  6 місяців тому

      Namaste! I understand your concern about installing a solar water heater on your rooftop without drilling slabs. While traditional installations involve drilling, there are alternative methods and materials you can consider. Here's what I can suggest:
      Piping Options:
      Flexible PEX (Cross-linked Polyethylene) pipes: These are excellent for rooftop installations due to their flexibility, weather resistance, and ease of installation. They don't require extensive support and can be routed around obstacles without drilling. PEX pipes come in insulated and non-insulated variants. Opt for insulated pipes to minimize heat loss during water transfer.
      Thermally Bonded PVC Pipes: Another viable option is thermally bonded PVC pipes specifically designed for solar water heating systems. These pipes offer good insulation and can withstand high temperatures. However, they are less flexible than PEX and may require more support structures.
      Pre-Insulated Copper Piping: While copper pipes are durable and efficient heat conductors, they require careful insulation to prevent heat loss. Pre-insulated copper pipes address this issue but are the most expensive option among the mentioned ones.
      Installation methods:
      Wall Clamps: You can use wall clamps or brackets to secure the pipes along the exterior wall without drilling. These clamps come in various sizes and materials to suit different pipe types and wall surfaces.
      Ground Channels: If running pipes along the wall isn't feasible, consider using ground channels. These are U-shaped channels buried underground to protect the pipes from external damage and harsh weather conditions.
      Conduit Pipes: Encasing the pipes inside a larger conduit pipe adds another layer of protection and provides a neat appearance. You can choose from PVC or metallic conduit pipes depending on your budget and preference.

      @TrekBookIndia  2 роки тому +1

      OK, I'll just try to explain.
      जो generally most घर मै होता है wo low pressure सोलर वॉटर heater होता है
      पर अगर आपको प्रेशर पंप lagana है तो uske लिये अलग किसम का हाय pressure सोलर सिस्टम lagana padega
      Solar water heaters are manufactured as pressure and non-pressure models. Pressure model (also called high pressure solar heaters) means, water in the tank are under high pressure, it's equal to the pressure of tap water. Non pressure model (also called low pressure solar heaters) means, water in the tank is under low pressure, and is equal to the gravity of the water.
      Hope this helps 🙋😊

    Thank You. Sir, 1. Your Suggestion Is A Good One - To Have A Feeder Tank. 2. Having Thermometer Connected May Not Be Needed, If You Install Newer Heating Coil As It Comes With Thermostat Which Switches Off Power To Coil Once Desired Temperature Is Reached. 3. One Suggestion Is To Replace The GI Pipe Connection That You Have (Sensor Is Attached) To Plastic As GI Pipe Causes Heat Loss.

    I have a 400L (200Lx2) tanks installed at my home. You can consider one as prefeed tank. Still we face problems in winters. In morning when everyone has to rush, no immediate hot water is available. We have to drain out almost 2-3 buckets before we get hot water from tap. Also, same is the case if there's gap in usage. It's really frustating when mother has to use hot water in kitchen and she has to wait for few minutes for that. Electric element is no great solution as due to volume of water, it too takes time. Moreover, if we have to resort to electric option only, why to invest so much in such thing. I have 4 washrooms+1 kitchen at my home and I sometimes think it would have costed me cheaper installing 5 geysers instead of this solar heater.
    Do you have any solution for these problems?
    (I have worked in solar power industry for 4-5 years, and I was of view that solar water heating got failed because of poor promotion from government side, as with the solar electirc rooftop systems. But I was wrong. Solar water heating is no doubt very beneficial for industrial usage where they need hot water round the year, thus they can save a lot using this. But for residential systems, I would prefer either go solely on electric or get a mix of both...i.e. Do get a small geyser installed at all the points where you need immediate hot water. Also, instead of solar water heater, you can better invest in solar electric rooftop system. That a better proportion that this)

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 роки тому +1

      I understand your frustration ...
      Considering the described issue, my opinion is that heat losses are happening in the pipelines (since they are diverted to each location in house) .. and such heat losses are phenomenal and should not be ignored .. Solution is to do high grade thermal insulation to the pipelines which will help you to great extent
      (Note - suggestion is based on description of problem)
      Hope this helps :-)

      @@TrekBookIndia This won't work specially during winters! You will end yup draining cold water on all rooftop systems (Solar/Electric) if there's no continuos usage of hot water.

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 роки тому

      Pipes can be fitted with foam rubber or fiberglass sleeves help keep a pipe closer to the temperature of the water inside the pipe, but it does not add heat to the pipe hence temperature will slowing down the cooling effect.
      Finally every coin have 2 sides :-)

    How much money have u saved after installing theses 2 soar water heaters ..
    Our 2 months electricity bill is 4000/3500 rs.
    Should we install these???

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 роки тому

      To be honest with you I have not calculated the amount... Reason is that I also have installed solar panels on my home, so electricity bill is already lowered to great extent... So its combined effect of both solar systems..
      Anyway, installing solar water heating surely reduces electricity bills and in my opinion its worth installing, although payback will happen over few years of time 👍🙋

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 роки тому +2

      Generally you get standard fitting heaters of 1kw and 2kw.
      I have fitted 1kw heater coil.
      If you are going to fit on your own, then you need to check your heating system for provision to adopt the heater coil, then only its possible to fit readymade coil.
      Best is to get it done from the same dealer from where you purchased it. 🙋
      If you have further doubts, you can send me the photos from side of the tank to check provision of coil, mail it to mahesh@trekbook.in

    What matters is how much money u can invest for free hot water...

    • @TrekBookIndia
      @TrekBookIndia  2 роки тому

      Yes, you are right.
      You can calculate electricity consumption based on the heater coil rating and number of minutes or hours used.
      Then multiply the kwh rating (units consumed) to per unit rate, which will give you monthly consumption only for water heating. This will give you an idea of how much you will save by using solar water heating and the payback period.

      How many years the system is installed?
      If its more than say 2 years then first thing is to clean the system, most likely the solar systems get affected due to mud formation in water (next time I clean my system I will put video of how much muddy water gets drained through the system)
      Since its summer season and still you are not getting hot water, this is my main suspect
      Other reasons are like outlet pipes not insulated properly or insulation damaged

      - पाणी mai जो mitti रहती है ऊस कारण सिस्टम में mud फॉर्म हो जाता है, तो ऊसे ड्रेन करणा जरुरी होता है... Jisase efficiency वापस बढती है
