    Hey, here's the pinned comment I promised. Basically, there are good and bad sides
    to the game, and also good and bad sides to the good and bad sides (Free to play = good,
    but since it's free to play, that means microtransactions = bad). I understand that,
    and I had to fight the urge to counter the good/bad with good/bad, since they're addressed
    in their respective videos. I could've just made a review, and that's something I'll probably
    do eventually, but wanted to try something a little different. Thanks for understanding :)

    My least favourite thing about Genshin is, no replaybility in areas. Areas have no replay ability like tell me y’all, did y’all go Enkanomiya after the 40 day event?

      true. once i cleared enkanomiya on 100% in 2-4 days when it was released i never came back until that 40 day event

    For me, it's always been artifact rng. I can overlook some issues for the meantime but when I want to farm for artifacts, I want it to be fulfilling. I just wish they let us manually choose the artifact and the type (the vv domain can suck it), nevermind that the stats would roll randomly afterwards. That would be a huge quality of life already.

      The simplest solution is to decouple artifact grinding from the resin system or completely overhaul the resin system. It isn't the RNG. Its the RNG coupled with only getting to pull on that RNG artifact wheel 4 times a day.

People will farm for days straight to get their characters with the best artifacts they can get and then there is LITERALLY NOTHING elso to do at endgame. The only thing that you can do in the endgame is farm artifacts and materials from domains now what do you think will happen if you literally cant improve your characters anymore cuz they are all the best they can be. Yeah thats right think about that

      I agree the artifacts system is probably the worst thing about this game. RNG(the set u WANT) upon RNG ( the pieces u want) upon (the stats u want on that piece) upon RNG ( the substats u want) upon RNG (the correct leveling for your substats)

      Yeah kinda same for me at start when hutao came out i was farming crimson domain for month or 2 or smth like that cant recall been to long ago but ye anyway i didnt get a single 5* crit rate circlet so i end up using a 4* circlet crit with garbage subs or simply a hp% one even though my ration sucked then but ye i just gave up... and now iam using shimenawa set on hutao cuz it was less painfull to farm that domain since many characters can use the emblem set so isnt such a huge loss since the 18% atk as a 2piece for others can be still good option aswell...
      So yeh overall farmin artifact domain is all about what is most efficient. tbh i would love to see an option where we can pick 1 set specialy the older domain like VV domain so we can choose just the VV set cuz simply nobody gonna use the maidens set specialy since we got the upgraded version of it being clam set....

      YES!! i have been farming CWOF for klee for *forever,* since her last re-run (i have her) and i occasionally get a really good artifact with all the stats i want on her, and it all rolls into def or hp. i’m so close to just giving up and giving her gladiator because i’m just tired of getting lavawalker or bad CWOF. i really hope they fix this, or make it cost less resin.

      @@ponk0217 The only real improvement I could think of is just something along the lines of a monthly or bi-monthly strongbox, that just takes a bunch of golden artifacts so you can get one of your choice.
      It wouldn't ensure you roll into the right substats, but if you can pick the stats, it would at least help balance things out a little.

      For real. My characters aren't properly built because first I'm f2p so resin and the meterials I need is a pain in the buttocks to get. Second my artifact luck sucks 💀.

      @@ValentijnEnJack THE ONLY improvement? They could delete the mora requirement for upgrading artifacts for example, or make the system where you could lock certain stats on your artifacts to either make this stat bigger or block it from getting any increases (I hope you understand what I mean).
      Or even simpler, they could just make artifacts *less RNG* in general.

      Can relate. I got yujin along with a ningguang and c1 noelle on my first 2 multi pulls. As much as i loved yunjin, i just cant use her much before unlocking inazuma.

      This. One of my first 4*s ever was Thoma. He's my main now but getting him up past level 40 was straight-up impossible for the longest time, thanks Genshin.

    Don't forget: on the artifact RNG aspect, theres also ANOTHER layer of RNG. Let's say you did get the Viridescent, AND the right piece (cause you forgot to mention you also have to be blessed by RNG to get the circlet you want instead of a goblet, for example), AND you got the right main stat, AND you got the right sub stats, AND it rolled into crit rate that you wanted. There's also the fact that it's RNG if it high rolls or low rolls :) Cause we couldn't throw our players the slightest bit of a bone by removing the low roll-high roll mechanics and just straight up giving you the highest roll when you've been put through like 5-6 layers of RNG for A SINGLE ARTIFACT.

    I do hope they add new commissions to areas like enka and chasm.
    There's pretty much no reason to visit them once you do whatever quest that takes place there...
    Maybe a new set of commissions and achievements will be a good thing

      but there’s a lot of quests and chests in enka and the chasm. tbh i had a blast going around and doing the quests in the chasm, so much so that i actually forgot the archon quest was a thing there lol. gonna start going around enka soon

    To me, it's really just the artifact rng. The rest I can tolerate. But the artifact rng is just hellish. After weeks of farming, I finally got a Cryo goblet Blizzard Strayer with double crit substats! Then lo and behold, all upgrades went to flat atk. 🤬

      @Linda Les I got Childe as copium because I knew the game would give me more HoD than Blizzard for Ganyu, but somehow I'm still using a 4-star crit circlet for Childe. My hydro goblet is off piece. Artifact RNG is just terrible.

      I've been farming Blizzard Strayer, on and off, pretty much from when it became available, so countless times. I have never got a 5 star crit rate or crit damage circlet. The odds of each dropping is 1 in 100, which is pretty rough burning resin at 20 per run.... And that is before we even get to substats.... (I haven't ever got a cryo goblet either....)

    My biggest problem with the game is the co-op, we need a mode that doesn’t cost resin you just play for fun, at least then I would have something to do while I’m waiting for resin to refill.

    I think something that should be mentioned when talking about the gacha is the amount of primos the game gives, which isn’t a lot. When you get into late game and explored a lot and done almost all the quests, the amount of primos you can get from the game is a very low amount which would only make spending money even more enticing

      Out of all the 100 gacha games I've played in my dear life, this game gives the least amount of "gems" per month and the least amount of "stamina" system cap. It is so fcking bad.

      @@guilhermealveslopes Although I can’t name 10, two good examples are PGR (Punishing : Gray Raven) and Battle Cats. If this is too long scroll to bottom for summary.
      The stamina system in PGR caps at 240 and you regenerate one every 4 minutes. You also get one free “resin” a day. So you technically have 300. You also get a bunch more resin every week as well as some additional rewards for free. As for the gacha, pity is at 60 and you can usually get about 1000+ a week (Perhaps even enough for a 10 pull if you maximise your time). 1 pull costs 250 cards (Their form of gems) and 10 pulls cost 2500. So you can get a five star every month or so if you consistently complete all quests that give cards and any additional main quests/events/side quests. Weapons are also real easy, 5 star signature is guaranteed every ten pull (And you can choose which weapon you want), 6 star is guaranteed every 60 pulls. So no 50/50 or any other rng to screw you up, you’re essentially buying the weapons. There’s also a unique set of characters called uniquants/compositors. These special characters are obtainable in a special banner after level 58 (Approximately) and are guaranteed every ten pulls, not to mention how crazy powerful they are (Some of the best DPS characters in the game), this is more of a comfort option if you’re worried about not getting the five stars you want.
      As for battle cats, 1 pull costs 150 cat food (Their form of gems) and 10 pulls cost 1500 CF (CF = cat food). The maximum capacity to your stamina can be increased up to 1000 I think? You regenerate one stamina every minute. Thing is, you get so much free “resin” in the game that the stamina system is completely negligible and you can play for the entire day unrestrained if you want to. Also, important note, resin refills based on your max cap, so if you cap at 200, then resin will refill 200 etc. In terms of gacha, rates are very high, you’re essentially guaranteed an Uber rare (Their version of five stars) every 20 - 40 pulls. (In fact, my friend once got 4 Uber rares in one ten pull). You can get about 150 or so CF every day.
      Last thing to note. The “artefact” system in PGR does not have any RNG, all artefacts have a set stat which only increases by a set amount every level. Battle Cats does not have an artefact system, you can only upgrade the characters.
      tl;dr
      PGR gives one 5 star every month or so, 240 is cap, 1 stamina per 4 minutes. Lots of free resin.
      Battle Cats gives one five star every two - three weeks, perhaps a month if you’re super unlucky. Stamina system doesn’t matter, the game gives you more resin than you could spend, cap is 1000 or so (Can’t remember), 1 stamina per minute.
      Neither has much RNG, they’re basically only gacha games in name, all other aspects have no luck whatsoever (Unless your luck is disastrously bad, in which case I don’t think it’s a game issue).

    Personally I like the idea of a permanent Windtrace. The event not only let you interact with other players in coop, but also promoted the PvP idea. It's not direct character-character combat but I feel like that would be nearly impossible and unfair anyways considering things like frozen, petrification, illusory bubble, etc. As for rewards, a system similar to the teapot where you wouldn't be able to sell out the whole shop, but pick from a selection that resets every week. Unlike the teapot this would actually give endgame players something to do, it's also worth mentioning that Windtrace is in the open world so we can explore the landscape more. Furthermore, according to many players events that involved cooping with other players tended to be more enjoyable.

      windtrace is fun, but it would definitely not solve the problem with endgame content. also, i feel like it would become way too boring if it was permanent. people would get sick of it or forget about it after a while

      @@maylowyt i agree! but i do think if they added enough similar things, connected to the same rewards system (with a max of what you can get a day, week, month, whatever) it would add some good endgame content. if you have a choice of more mini-games and such to play every week for rewards you could always switch up what you play! genshin has many event-exclusive features if they made a few of them (or similar ideas) into weekly things to do for rewards then i think with enough of that stuff it would feel more fun to do instead of feeling like a chore (the way that bounties + battle pass can feel)

      Easy. Disable these debuffs or replace them with PvP-appropriate versions.
      How to make whales and F2Ps equal in combat:
      -With artifacts, only the set bonuses should be given. Maybe the main stats can be given, because it factors into whether you're doing a physical or elemental build, tank etc, which should be part of the build choices. Not the substats or their low/high rolls. It should be good to try different artifact builds. However, while investment may be a good thing in other cases, when resin is a limiting factor it becomes unfair when there are those who can run the RNG much more often per day than F2Ps can. If the only goal is absolute optimization, all that matters is how many times you can get try the RNG and get more artifacts to compare their substats. Basically speaking, whales don't get more skill, they only spend more time and money to get new artifacts. Which may give a big impact for damage when it comes to substats, but if those are nullified it becomes basically the same level of investment to pick a build.
      -R0 or trial weapons
      -if possible, PvP-specific adjustments to talents

    One thing I certainly think should make onto this list is how weak the rewards are. Mihoyo is so extremely stingy with primogems, ascension materials etc. you can get, that sometimes the events feel barely worth playing. The bought battle pass looks like what the free battle pass should look like in the first place. The game makes you think that the 60K mora you earned through an event is a lot but in reality it's like 20 resin worth of mora. The only cool and worthwhile rewards are imo the free 4* weapons you get from longer quests. These really feel rewarding even though they still won't give them a single crit mainstat LOL

      Exactly. On average, a complete event give 420 primogems, which is enough for 3 wishes. The problem is, 3 wishes is 1/3 of a 4* and like 1/25 of a 5*.

    i'd like a mechanic that allows rerolling a specific artifact stat. even if that is a 'costly' process. if you can get a given artifact you want (say, a certain set's goblet of feather, etc), then you can just grind out the specific stat you want by rerolling it. maybe toss in a re-roll of all the substats boosts in the process, but keep the non-selected stats type the same. so its still sort of random, and you may not wind up with as good of a sub-stat, but you'd still be closer to BiS.
    and still keeps people on the grind, so it may well still get them to spend money on crystals if they're wales, since they're in theory still enjoying the game.
    whereas the artifact system and the utter mind numbing grind has driven more people off than anything else, i suspect. and while the ability to reroll tons of artifacts to get a few rerolls is a step in the direction... it's still the same grind, really.
    they really need a way to get a bit more focused on the reroll stuff, and the only way thats happening is by going after the stats themselves on the artifacts.

    I can distill it down to just 3 words:
    "Everything involving artifacts"
    The resin, the randomized main stat, the randomized sub stats, the randomized rolls on said sub stats.....it's all just one giant middle finger and KILLS my desire to build a character. I will sooner triple crown level 90 a character than I will even farm MIDDLING artifacts from one domain. It's literally cancer. And sadly artifacts are EVERYTHING to how a character plays and I hate it. I wish levels and talents were a much bigger part of the equation for how a character performs but they really aren't past a point. Getting level 80 and talents at 8,8,8 is usually considered "done"

    Totally agree with the artifacts. I've been doing artifact domains almost exclusively for the past 4 months, and so far I have gotten a single great piece, and maybe 4 usable ones (not on the set I was going for though). It really makes me not wanna play the game anymore. Whoever thought that adding so many layers of rng, with so bad probabilities and so little resin per day would be a good idea???

    Personally, I need more co op things. Please, permanent windtrace! It was genuinely so fun hiding in plain sight and playing as rivals (like kaeya and diluc) with friends. We dont even need windtrace, just more fun stuff. The game is genuinely so boring at endgame. I'm not even at endgame but I'm such a procrastinator I can't finish all the quests and it makes me so unhappy to see all those quests. I just wanna go have fun with random people istg please. It's such a good distraction and I love it. We don't even need rewards just let us enjoy ourselves with more coop. But we all know hoyoverse is just gonna keep releasing 'mommies' instead of actual things we want.

      I have so many hours in co op in this game, yet the developers refuse to do anything with co op 😒. They can start by allowing people to accept their adventure rewards in Co op so I won't have to leave co op.

      you dont have to talk to an npc to craft, unlike the food shops and adventurer's guild. i believe its something with saving data and also changing data while in multiplayer. idk im not a coding expert.

    If PvP gets added and people are allowed to bring more than 1 character I can easily see the Freeze Reaction be the most used
    It completely stops your opponent and the mash button isn't the Dash button so you can't even I-frame it as soon as you get out

      Oh Imagine Taunt abilities like Amber or Itto's could Taunt you, that would be so annoying if they choose to fight near it

    I've written some rules for myself from what I've learned in Genshin that I think apply to all F2P gacha games:
    1. Do not want specific characters/gear, whatever you get that's what you work with, don't fall into the gambling trappings of the gacha system.
    2. Play for fun, not rewards. If you feel like you're doing events and minigames just to get the rewards, skip them. Play only content that you actually enjoy.
    3. IF you spend money, do it to support, not to obtain. If you have enjoyed that new area or new character you got for some time, you may (or may not) consider to give something back.
    4. Get that FOMO under control. Be 100% ok with missing out dailies and events, with letting that energy/resin unspent (in case there's a system like that in place).
    5. Do not compare yourself with others, play the way you want. It's a game, the META is TO HAVE FUN, and how you do it it's up to you and you alone.
    6. If you go for end-game content, notice when it is a gear check and not based on skill. Gear check content is designed to keep people farming and give the illusion of challenge when it's all grinding.
    7. Take a long break if you feel burned out, play another non gacha in between. It will maintain your perspective of what a game should be, something you do on your free time to unwind, not something designed to maximize your engagement and prey on FOMO and gambling tendencies.
    I believe F2P Gacha games have truly enjoyable content but you have to keep them on a tight leash.

      3. Sure if the places to spend money didn't directly impact the game experience itself ... If it does then it's not a donation ... It's like someone holding a gun to your head and saying "donate the money to my bag"
      4. The fomo is the only thing that exists because of all the time gateing being hard locked to making any progress
      5. Stop with the whole play at your own pace bs. If I could play at my own pace I would ...       1. I mean not wanting specific things and thus not get frustrated if you don't get what you want. Yes the month it takes to build characters is also a problem but a different one from what I mean here.
      2. No? Don't play for fun? If you can't skip content you don't enjoy doing there's the FOMO controlling you. If you do enjoy all events, awesome, do them all. I personally find many of them uninteresting gameplay wise.
      3. Believe me, I know the feeling of having to spend money, my rules helped me break out from it and I hope they help others too.
      4. Fomo is what is embeded in people as a behaviour because of dailies and temporary events, gated content is a way of spread the dose in order to imbue that behavioral pattern more effectively. Thus, be ok with missing out so as not to fall into that.
      5. It's not play at your own pace, it's play the way you want. My pace btw is not play everyday 20 min to do dailies and spend resin. I don't play everyday, because that creates that pattern in behaviour to maximize engagement, and when I do maybe I do a daily or spend some resin, and maybe I don't and just wander about doing puzzles and finding chests, or just look at the sunset. I don't see what problem do you have with this point since it's literaly YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO WHAT I DO. Which apply to all other rules.
      6. More content would be nice, as long as it is not another grind to win and to make people take their wallet out to keep up, which, you would agree, is not a good place to be.
      7. Yeah, you've been there, and went back, why? because the systems that there are in place to pull you back. I know, because I've been there and back, and there again, and back, because fomo, gambling tilt and behavioural patterns of that sort ARE NOT EASY TO BREAK OUT FROM. Thus, my rules to break free from those and be, essentially, happier with what should be something you do in your free time to wind down and have fun. Am I perfect and follow them to the letter?, not always, but when I follow them I feel better and when I don't I feel worse, that's how I know they are good rules, at least for me, and the more you follow them, the easier it gets to avoid the traps laid for you in the system. You can think up your own rules to enjoy the game better because it seems you're frustrated about some aspects of it too.

    Finally, someone has talked abt the bad stuff abt Genshin, and I agree with everything you said. Cuz playing Genshin Impact everyday has gotten so boring cuz there's nothing to do except grind. And I'm also an endgame player so grinding is the only thing I really do. It's gotten so boring and tedious to the fact I just quit entirely, cuz since I'm f2p, I can't get my favorite characters and stuff like that. And don't get me started on RNG, cuz it's literally RNG on RNG on even more RNG. Tbh, I would play Genshin again if they add some adjustments to it like the pity system is easier for f2ps, grinding isn't so hard, and making the RNG better than what it is. 1 game I really admire is CRK (Cookie Run Kingdom) cuz it's 1 of the very few games that are f2p friendly. If Genshin was a bit more f2p friendly, I'd think it would be a better game than what it is

    Something I was hoping you would mention about the artifact rng, was that on top of
    1. Getting the right set
    2. Getting 3/4 stats
    3. Getting good stats
    4. Rolling 4th stat if you got 3
    5. Leveling rest of stats and hoping it goes into the right ones
    Theres also RNG involved in how much of a stat boost you actually get when you roll/ how much you start out with. For example, you can get a crit dmg sub stat that starts as 7.8%, and start out with 3.6% on another piece. And then when actually rolling, you can get a low boost or a high boost. So you can get an increase of, for example, 4.2%, and then get an increase of 6.9%. Theres even more layers of RNG. In addition, there are even some artifact sets that revolve around RNG (ex. echoes of an offering)

    There are SO MANY ways Hoyo could improve the artifact RNG. They could:
    -Let us pick which artifact set we're farming for in the domain (especially useful for the Viridescent/Maiden's domain, as Maiden's is one of the most useless sets in the entire game)
    -Give us more resin. More resin = more chances to get artifacts
    -Change the RNG for main stats so it doesn't favor HP and DEF so heavily and EM so lightly - getting good EM sets for anemo characters is hell on earth
    -Alternatively, let us pick which main stats we're going for - it could even be a selection, like going for ER, HP, and DEF on a certain run. Changing the selection could cost primogems or maybe some kind of monthly in-game currency so you can't do it too often
    -Let us reroll artifacts when they roll badly/change a substat using primogems or another in-game currency. I'm going to be real, I'd spend several hundred primos on an artifact if that meant I could get it to roll into exactly what I wanted it to
    The thing I really can't understand is I feel SO certain that if they actually implemented some of these things, especially the ones with primos, people would actually take them up on it! People would probably spend more primogems if they felt like they had a good chance of getting good artifacts. I truly don't get why Hoyo won't do it. Laziness? Or are they afraid that, once we get good artifacts, we'll just quit because there's no other content?

    Pvp would be horrible for Genshin IF you had it like most games do. My idea is to have a pvp style mode where you fought against waves of enemies getting points, and you can use those points in between waves to mess with the other player. Guy using hyper carry Raiden team? Drop a buff on mobs that increases electro res by 75%. Not using a healer? Cool, enemies cause bleeding to sap your hp. Standing there and taking hits with a shield? -50% shield str.
    Points would be gained by how fast you complete the wave. Have daily prizes for doing the pvp (a little primos, hero exp books, mora) Weekly prizes for leader-boards in a ranked style (More primos, resin, PVP shop where you can buy old event stuff) and if you really want to make it epic add a feature for people to watch matches either live, or saved.

    You forgot another thing about the Artifacts RNG, the rolls amount. Even if you got the substat you want did it min roll? or max roll? for Crit DMG it goes from 5.4 to 7.8. If you roll Crit DMG 3 times, but it's all min rolls, you'll get 21.6 Crit DMG. If you roll it 2 times, but it's all max rolls, you'll get 23.4 Crit DMG. You basically missed a whole roll with min rolls, and even got worst stats.

    I kinda would have loved if the reward for actually raising adventure rank to 60 was a method to actually make some fragile reisin...
    Like limit the amount one could make in a week like 3 per week and the allow players to actually collect and use them when necessary because end game players have huge loads of unused reisins

    You forgot to mention the co-op. The fact is once reaching a certain level it just becomes unnecessary since no enemy is hard to kill or no domain is hard to complete. Not even the events.

    As someone who doesn't really care about having perfect artifacts, it's the whole ascension system that is a fucking nightmare for me. Not only does every single character require over 120 of the same regional material grinded, like Starconches for Yelan f.e., you're also expected to defeat the exact same world boss over and over and over and over... you need TWENTY only for the last ascension rank, take into account the dozens you need to have collected prior to even get to reach that point. And that. Per. Character.
    Then you also have to ascend your weapons, each having their own hoard of required specific materials for you to collect which you can only get from certain monsters or specific domains at certain days... it makes the whole 'getting stronger' process of the game so much more of a chore than it needs to be.
    Don't forget the regional lock-out as well. New players won't be able to make much use out of any of the Inazuma characters, because they're locked out of going there before they reach the appropriate adventure rank and clear all the appropriate archon quests which takes extremely long, which by then the main party would have characters at level 60 or so, at minimum.

    I don't know if anyone already said this or not, but from my experience I enjoyed genshin lore a lot. I'm not a hard core lore reader since I don't bother do dig up info on archive or wiki, I prefer to experience through gameplay instead. The problem for me with genshin is that I missed many part of the lore since I joined the game quite late and missed the golden archipelago and albedo story event and I got Ayaka early and she's my main dps but I need to rush the archon quests to get into inazuma as soon as possible to get her materials to level her up. I wish I could enjoy the game at my own pace without needing to rush since that's what the veteran players told to do if you're new to genshin. Plus new players can't do most of the new events like the Drum Along Festival for example unless they reach inazuma first.

    Honestly I’ve always thought that PvP would be rather easy to implement.
    1) Only allow pre-built characters, so basically use trial characters instead of player built ones.
    2) Let every character be playable, this is just to make it more fun for everyone.
    3) Have it be ranked, I think it should be AR based since people should be similar in skill if there at the same AR.
    4) Have different modes. Like one where you can use only 1 character, and have more and more in different modes.
    Now I know this doesn’t solve ever problem that PvP would have in a game like Genshin. But I still think it’s far easier to add than most believe, and I would love to be able to fight other players from time to time.

      Trial characters is the only way I could see f2p friendly pvp working out, and as a gacha game I severely doubt they would do that. It's much more profitable to make pvp stacked in a way you need C6 characters to win, so for right now I'm glad they have no system of it.
      Maybe friendly 1v1 rather than ranked matches wouldn't be as bad but idk, I feel like pvp in gacha games is typically doomed to be whale bait.

      PvP would just be terrible in general. Connection issues, differences in every character's kit, and how bad some character matchups could be. With Genshin's PvE abilities like Xiao's plunge attack are rather easy to implement. It would be rather unfair if, say, a Eula had to fight a Xiao. Venti's ult is also really good in PvE, but it would be horrendous to go against in a PvP gamemode however.

      @@raidenthus Yeah that’s a completely fair point. A lot of characters just aren’t good for PvP, whether they be way to Op for it or extremely terrible at it. But, and I stress this is just an idea, maybe you could disable Ults.
      Now I know that’s kinda a big deal and would never actually happen but otherwise I agree that PvP would probably be horrendous due to Xiaos, Venti’s, and most freeze teams.

      even with that, PvP would be horrendous. It would be so easy to just dodge bursts, so it would suck for character's who get a huge chunk of their damage out of their bursts (eula, ayaka, raiden, etc), xiao might be able to land a couple of hits but would miss most. Most ranged characters apart from ganyu would fail as well. Some characters that would work too well would be pretty much any characters who's main focus is melee, or normal attacks, childe, hu tao, itto, etc. Fighting against players with zhongli would be unfair, as well as some of the healers may make never-ending matches. People using mona and ayaka would also be a pain in the ass. However, they could put in some PvP thing where, instead of fighting each other, players race each other to fight a large group of enemies. They could make like a domain that is similar in size to one floor of the spiral abyss, and players get to choose from an array of trial characters, then compete with other players to see who can finish the domain the fastest. They could regularly change the trial characters available, as well as the enemies so it doesn't get repetitive. To make things more interesting, they could possibly make it so the players all have to have different characters, so they roll a dice or something to take turns choosing one character each.

    My main issue is tied to resin. I don't really mind the resin limit. I'm more a casual, just throw money for welkin once a month to save for a character I really want so I'm not desperate on that part because Qiqi is carrying me throw the whole game so I need nothing else really. The thing is... Why we have a limit of 5 condense resin? Why?
    If they raise the limit or get ride of it, us the more casual player can enter the game, convert, log out and waste it all in a day where we can just go nuts farming whatever the hell we want.
    Also, PVP would put Genshin in a bad spot because most casual players won't play anymore. Do you realize is hard to make a pvp based on how much people spend? What if that person is not a whale anymore, fall behind and end up getting beating by another player? People say Genshin is pay to win, but it only becomes pay to win when pvp is added, the same with a leaderboard, only whales would be on top and would be incredible unfair.
    Now... coop Abyss or coop dungeons... That would be a cool feature to add :3

      I agree. I complete the passtime event in less than an hour, do my commissions, and that's it. I never really feel like doing domains so removing the condensed resin cap would be amazing for the days I just go crazy. But as of rn, I'm just waiting for Itto's banner to pass so all my prefarming can go to use. But even then, I'll play around with a new character for like a week, and then it goes back to being boring. (Aside from doing the new events coming in 2.8)

      yep, combat pvp in genshin is definitely a terrible idea considering whales, hardcore gamers, and how a lot of character kits just... dont work with pvp
      like zhongli's shield, kokomi's healing, venti's burst, etc. genshin was just not made for that kind of thing

    One of the biggest reasons most people don't want to buy characters is farming artifacts, leveling up, and collecting materials need too much work, which is not worth it because we are fine with a few well build characters. If they make building characters less time-consuming, character sales will increase.

    Imo, the terribly written story is the biggest turn off for me. The lore is quite good, but I'm more interested in the descriptions of the artifacts than the entire story of Genshin. Sure there are some cool moments like the whole jade chamber debacle and some of the Raiden cutscenes, but the over-arching storyline is awful. Hope Sumeru has some sort of turn around for it.

    Also when considering PvP, one must have in mind that doing 100k raw damage (ei: vaporised charge atk HuTao) is an easy thing. That's enough to one shot every character as they usually have 19k-45k hp remember that enemies hp is around (at least the ones that actually are harder to fight) 100k-2M

    7:25 I really do agree that they can do something about abyss, for the longest time I've been hoping they would add something like co op abyss, it can be a separate thing from nornal abyss, sure it's obviously gonna be harder but doing stuff with your friends is more entataining.

    But u can only do it with people on ur friend list.
    And u can do this with 1, 2 or 3 friends and each group is a new start, say i done it with one of my friends amd we got to floor 5 for example, then that friend had to leave so i done it with another friend, we would start at floor 1 again.
    This could be a fun challenge for u and ur friends, and depending on how many players u have doing it a time, it could be harder.

      Why only with your friends? It'd be great to co-op abyss by just putting in player 2's UID and P2 could choose to accept it or not. Plus it would actually be more co-op content that's fun and not just helping out new players. Maybe an area in the Abyss where you can meet other players wanting to do the same floor with their UID and a short phrase stating what they want help with in the abyss. 'Need Cryo sups' 'Looking for cc sups' 'Need one-shotters' and so on. Ez.

    Ya know what i would think would be cool for genshin? A turn based combat system as pvp like 7DS where you can have a team of up to 4 characters with each a support slot. Though all characters need to have a major revamp and some abilities and many artifacts would kinda be weird.

    They should add some form of endless Abyss, or at least 100-200 increasingly harder floors, I know it would mostly be whale place, where C6 and R5 will make difference, but its not a bad form of endgame, as for the game being new player friendly, it is and it is not at the same time. Lets say, a player start today, get some primos, pulls and gets Kuki, they like her and decide to invest some, then BOOM! After level 40, you need to unlock both Inazuma and The Chasm. I think they do need to streamline the story quest a bit, or at least make it possible to get upgrade materials everywhere

    I've suggested to them to add some fortress locations on the maps which players can choose to either assault or defend. These fortresses have multiple layers and each have to be breached in order to reach the next inner layer. The difficulty scaling is for _before_ as well as _after_ spiral abyss because I found there are gaps before one can properly build teams to efficiently clear each floor.
    Also the key factor to this feature is there are no rewards, because there is no resin cost. It is purely gameplay enjoyment for what is otherwise a weak world.

    1) For me its lack of combat. I absolutely love the mechanism of how combat works in this game unfortunately my well built teams are just sitting there collecting dust because i can clear the most difficult content. I wish there was a game mode where i could utilise all of my 15 built characters. The last event was very good where characters were locked, random buffs, some trial characters hopefully they can make it difficult and permanent.
    2) Also I'd say make mora and books more accessible so that i can raise more characters and have more team mechanics to engage in.
    3) And faster refresh of resin.
    I absolutely love resin rng because that's the only thing thats keeping Genshin alive also is the only thing where spending has not benefits whatsoever.

    The worst thing for me, as a mobile player is performance. I can do about one daily commission before my game gets unplayably laggy or straight up crashes. And that’s with the lowest possible settings. And don’t even get me started on coop

    Here's my ones:
    1) Certain oculi / lumenspar require you to just *know* how to access them, not even guides help
    2) The stamina system can be so annoying when you're just trying to climb one wall but keep getting stuck on geometry
    3) Certain artifacts are essentially useless if they roll badly in stats
    4) Certain overworld enemies necessitate having a certain element on your team else they take forever to kill (and you can't switch your team in combat to adjust)
    5) Some ascension items are far more scarce than others (Mondstadt Mushrooms, Dandelions, etc)
    6) Achievement hunting is very RNG based since a LOT of them require specific commisions (also, no indications of which options you've picked before for the dailies with multiple paths)
    7) Lack of endgame content (as mentioned)
    8) Rifthounds
    9) Everything about Dragonspine
    10) Trying to climb up a wall, clipping into part of the scenery, automatically letting go, you can't glide or plunging attack, then you die from fall damage

      yes why is it always Paimon the one who is gonna talk on behalf of the traveller? The traveller don't even speak too much until now even in the archon quest and whenever they speak, it's just a fkn short word like "Aether" or "Lumine" and then nothing pretty much even in the side quest.. It's like Paimon is the main characters instead of the traveller..

    My new least favorite thing about genshin is getting my account hacked due to their lack of security then having to wait and most likely miss kazuha and the 2.8 event which Ive been saving for since September. If I miss yoimiyas banner I might quit the game for awhile as well as if they spend the 300+ wishes I have

    I've been playing since 1.3 and I sincerely never hated the game, last year I've only missed 2 days of not playing, I'm almost at AR 59 (grass touching needed) and I still love playing although there are more days when I don't login when I don't feel like it.

    Totally with you on this list. Only thing I'm not is PvP for a variety of reasons:
    1) The characters' kits are not balanced for PvP. It would take a herculean effort to either rebalance (bad idea, as it would effect PVE), or to have split skills that function differently in PvE than in PvP.
    2) This game has already done a good job siphoning money in a way that somewhat less painful than if there was PvP. It would end up being like Diablo Immortal. And ranking systems can be gamed.
    Having said that, this game absolutely needs more end game content, and Brax laid out an interesting idea for PvP that is actually PvE-PvP.
    Even F2P players that have spent nothing but have played for at least 6-8 months are now facerolling the Abyss. I'm fine with the current difficulty level of the Abyss staying where it is but we need both an extension of the Abyss like in ToF (endless Abyss), and entirely different endgame systems that increasingly test our painstakingly built accounts.
    My vote is for expanding upon the Perilous Trail event with a Roguelike dungeon that gets increasingly harder and makes your character choices increasingly more constrained. I'd also like to see endgame content that scales from 1-4 players. Honestly, Co-op in this game is terrible and really needs an entire overhaul to increase longevity.

    I've been doing the VV domain for like a month now for kazuha and it's literally so bad, it's all atk, hp, def stats or Maiden, not a single EM.
    I really hope they do something about it, for a f2p like me spending so much time on it and not get a single EM should be illegal man.

    Thank you so much Moga, I've been preaching to many Genshin players especially about how atrocious artifact system is.
    But people think that Genshin are only Rainbows and Flowers they didn't look on the murky dark water it's floating on.
    I feel so disappointed in the community because if the majority of the player just blindly accept the system how are going to push the company to change the system.
    But now I have a glimmer of hope,
    Also, I passionately agree with all the other points you mentioned in this video, especially the Gacha because it's related to Constellations and 5* Weapons, because often 40-60% of a character power is locked behind Constellations and 5* Weapons, the price is just super greedy.
    With that 180 pulls we as players should get all the mechanic the character have and 98% of that character power, the remaining 2% is for the collectors or the whales.

    One of my biggest complaint is those important event stories that have actual lore behind them, gives us more backstory about character and shows us more interactions with the character to get to know them. I joined the game at the end of ver 1.3 so Windblume was my first major event so I missed the Unreconciled Stars, Festering Desire event and the first Lantern Rite and those were all events I so desperately wish I can play since it's all about characters I love (Scara, Albedo and Xiao). I'm okay with missing out on the activities on the events but I wish they made the story part like download-able quests (since I suspect they keep making temporary stuff because of the app space issue) or make them like unlockable side quests like the character story where you use the purple keys. And it'd be really nice if we can replay past story quests in general since I'm the type who likes to relive past stories, that's why I have such issues not doing quests because after I finish it it's gone, and then new events happen that requires you to have finished specific stories and then I suddenly have to rush everything and not enjoying them.
    My brother only started playing genshin recently and he won't know what I'm talking about since he missed so many lore based event stories. And my bro isn't a patient person and once he gets all those beginner fun stuff done and his characters becoming strong enough to take care of all the in game content easily he's gonna lose interest because of how repetitive the game play is. I personally stay because of the anticipation of cool new male characters and I really really wish they'll show more love for male characters

    I started playing this game in late April, I'm very much a meta player who just wants to have their characters at their strongest point. If a character is lacking in terms of efficiency and damage, I wont invest anything into that. I'm neither F2P nor a whale, I only purchased 1 BP and 1 Welkin at this point and saving for Kazuha to make my life easier.
    So around 2 months or so in the game, I'm able to 100% Teyvat and the underground Chasm (I'm getting lazy and doesn't have any motivation to explore Enkanomiya atm). I agree with all of the things in this video. The game is just fun for new players at this point. My map is almost empty and my only source of primo gems are commissions and Enkanomiya (not counting Welkin and BP).
    I enjoy the combat but it's getting repetitive due to lack of content. Hoyo really needs to do something about this.

    I honestly feel, that resin isn't so bad, it just needs a MASSIVE re-work
    1. Artifacts and resin:
    *Artifacts shouldn't need resin*
    You should just be able to go into (said domain) and grind it until you get the artifact with the desired main/sub stats you want for free. This wouldn't even break the game that much since artifact RNG is so trash, you would probably spend hours just trying to get ONE decent artifact that you're satisfied with.
    2. The amount of resin needed for world/weekly bosses:
    *World bosses should cost 20 resin and weekly bosses should cost 40*
    World bosses are too easy and simple for it to cost 40 resin to get their rewards, now if weekly bosses did cost 40 resin, I would say it would make sense to remove the 3 discounts you get weekly. It would be to lenient in my opinion, the discounts make the cost half, of the original required amount
    3. The amount of time needed for 1 resin to be restored:
    *It should only be 30 sec.*
    If each resin took 30 sec. to respawn, it would be 1 hour and 20 minutes until you got 160 again, that seems more than fair, for how much it takes to; ascend characters, do leylines for mora and XP books, etc.

      the scummy part about artifact is that if it dosent need resin the game would have been over. there is no goal for an endgame player to play with. thats kinda the worst part about hoyoverse, they know that their game doesn't have any endgame content so if the players even had god roll artifacts then the game is no more and no one would play it. they just dead locking players with the artifact and resin system

    For sure I want a pvp abyss where it matches us based on quality of our units. then for each level of spiral there would be a vs option where it would match us up and load us into our own spiral domains and whoever finishes first gets 100000 mora. It would be sooooo good 👍

    As someone with an addictive personality, the gacha system in this game literally is extremely addictive. A few months ago I literally went into my savings to pull for a character I didn't even want just because I wanted to win a character to feel good. I am doing kinda better now but still struggle a lot with not spending all my money on random stuff when I feel bad abt irl stuff:/ I did just do this with Itto and his weapon but luckily I only spent 200 on getting him and his weapon!!!

    I got a really good on set pyro cup with both crit, em and flat def(I was desperate) and it rolled once into crit rate and everything else went into flat def

    The main issue I have is the accessibility settings. There's not a whole lot you can do to make the game accessible if you have certain disabilities and entire parts of the game get blocked out completely if you have mobility based disabilities or photosensitivity. Like a lot of the games I would play over decade ago still have more accessibility than genshin does its frustrating to say the least. And the photosensitivity issues are far easier to address because the things that trigger it are things they literally have to make effort to add there's no reason they can't add an optional setting to turn that off. And then when I tried pointing out Yashiori Island is completely inaccessible due to the weather animations they told me to complete this mission and it'll turn off permanent storms, but the mission in question is literally on Yashiori Island. So it feels like they just don't care that the game can trigger seizures or migraines in people. And with mobility having buttons have different functions depending on how long you hold the button is really problematic when you have hand issues for example and can't push buttons rapidly. There's also not a compatible accessible controller that works on mobile at least. There's just a lot to be desired when it comes to accessibility.

    The easiest way to make artifact grinding better is making it work like talents. Each day has a specific artifact set and possibly adding an item that reverts an artifact all the back to level one

Especially if im farming artifacts for a certain character, im not gonna leave my resin there for three days just to do one domain for five minutes, have no resin left and wait another week.

      @@WyattOriginalTenderBox what they suggest would easily work if it were something you could choose every day rather than having specific days. as in, when you enter the domain you get an option to choose which set you want to go for. you can change it at any time, and until you change it, you'll keep going for the same set. that would eliminate the horrendous maiden/viri thing, as well as the crimson witch/lavawalker, and it'd be especially great if you're farming for a specific char. like, when xiao's new artifact set came out, all the xiao mains being able to pick his set and exclusively farm for that, every single day...that would be amazing

    My biggest pet peev with Genshin is the terrible fundamentals with the writing. Specifically: the pointless exposition machine that is Paimon. I have seen so many instances of an event happening, and then immediately after Paimon verbally repeats what happened not 5 seconds ago "no duh Paimon I just saw it". Also so much wasteful dialogue, and so many characters I don't care about taking part of major events when we have such a large cast of characters we should actually care about. I'm very much a story person, and Genshin woke me up to how important following basic fundamentals to storytelling and writing are to making a good story. It makes me question if this is actually the same company that made Honkai Impact that actually does good work on writing.

    Moga saying that genshin was friendly to earlier game players is so weird to hear. I'm AR 35, and I have been for months bc I'm focusing on raising all my characters before I go higher. And I feel like Genshin is mostly adding content for endgame players. New characters are extremely hard to raise bc all their materials are from places earlier game players can't get to, and all of the events require completing some quest that you have no idea which quests are prerequisites to that one, or which quest the prerequisite to event is anyway. As a casual player, I can participate in maybe 1 out of every 8 events.

      tbh at AR 35 you don’t really need to be farming artifacts. once you reach AR 50 is probably when you should start farming for them, because very few domains at that level are going to offer good artifacts.
      unless you’re fighting bosses (who drop artifacts) and need gladiator or wanderers but that is a different story.

      Idk. I started a month ago and I’m enjoying it. Granted I couldn’t do the perilous trails event, but that’s because I was like, still new. And I only discovered the story quests when I finished the main quests. I have to say that as a new player, I never really felt like the game wasn’t for me. Yeah, I sucked at the spiral abyss so much but recently I cleared floor 5. It’s not good but that’s only if you compare it to other people. I was satisfied with what I could do. And like I said, I still have many story quests and hang out events. And I’m ar 39.

    I love exploring but once an area is explored I don’t go in it unless it’s for dailies…… there are no dailies in the chasm or enkanomiya or dragonspine and they’re my favourite areas…. They were so fun to explore and the hidden lores behind them was so fun to uncover but there’s nothing to do in them once you’ve dug out every single chest and puzzle… it’s not an easy problem to solve I get that but it would be nice if even common chests regenerated over time or there was an abyss like structure for each of these “special” locations all the regions have but just puzzles.

    Yeah no I sincerely hope PvP never gets added into genshin. I would not only completely break the balancing in the game (Freeze comps would be absolutely busted) but future characters would be neutered because their kit would have to take PvP into consideration in order to balance them, thus making characters more boring.

    I think it would be nice if Genshin had like an Elysian realm like Honkai. It could reset on the week that abyss does not. I think that an Elysian realm type gamemode could also bring players a challenge through the difficulty scaling options. It would also be cool to see overpowered buffs on characters which aren’t in the main game normally.

    My personal reason to hate Genshin is honestly... how the story is written. Sometimes it comes off as if it's written for 10 year olds BY 10 year olds. Everything is so on the nose, most of the time predictable. On the rare occassion we have some pretty nice cutscenes, but they always end up just being there to hype you up. Always a deus ex machina character to save the day like in the Perilous Trail quest, or Yae Miko during the Inazuma archon quest. And for a game based so heavily on story, it's a bit dissapointing to me.
    That being said, how one perceives the story is completely subjective. I personally get turned off by how they are structured most of the time.

    As much as I actually enjoy Genshin, the more I think about it the more my interest fades. I get that Genshin is a virtual action figure collection simulator but what's the point? Why spend all this time and money to do nothing? I mean sure, I can run the Abyss or weekly bosses ad nauseam, but why? I hit 4-5 buttons and everything is dead in 15 seconds... wooo. Do the 4 dailies, run 4-8 domains for RNG garbage, Rep stuff and bosses on week reset, Abyss twice a month, do the event if one is running, Teapot if that's you cup of tea (pun 100% intended). Like am I missing something? Is there some crazy thing to do I haven't found? IDK, I want to play but everything is time or resource gated and there doesn't seem to be a reason to put all this time and money into characters when there's no real reason to use them.

    imo, Instead of PvP where players fight among each other, I believe varieties of weekly big boss raid where players have to deal as much damage as possible in a set of time and basically compete in a leaderboard system to earn juicy rewards based on their placement would probably be a great idea. Encourage players to pull varieties of characters as well as trying out different builds to get their highest score in the end of each week

    Pvp sounds like a horrible idea for this type of game and this is coming from someone who is very competitive.
    Pvp in gacha games is basically just whales vs whales more money = more wins which opens the title of pay2win.
    Genshin isn't pay2win since there is nothing to win really but if pvp gets in then it will be.

    Here's my List so far:
    ❌Resin Cap is too small for players wanting more than 20mins gameplay
    ❌The Condensed Resin as mentioned, can be stocked to use for another day, but you can only have 5.
    ❌Word Censoring, i get that certain countries have familiar spelled words but it's hard to communicate sometimes.
    ❌No Auto text translate, this would certainly help players, especially ones helping out other players to clear domains, when helping i find myself outsourcing a translator to help lower ARs.
    ❌Clipping, at times, characters in game clip in the environment, having them either walk through quicksand, or fuse with other characters.
    ❌Camera View, when playing there are times where the camera angles just low enough for me to not see my characters, usually going under the environment or worst not focusing on ny character.
    ❌Voiced NPC, as i like reoccurring NPCs like the Chad Liben, it sucks for events or even just going around town with magnitudes of texts.
    ❌Basic NPCs, i won't mind if they have similar looking NPCs, but i hope story related ones or even ones in the manga, looked like the ones from the manga, can't really shed a tear if he looks like everybody else.
    ❌History comes in 6s not 10s. This is a stupid one lmao, but i kinda wish they chaned history pulls from 6 to 10. I'm doimg 10pulls not 6 pulls 😅
    That's what I've gotten so far, some are missing and most are probably just me. But yeah that's what i got.

    With dendro coming up i seriously hope they expand the dmg% cup pool by reducing chances of atk hp and def instead of accommodating that into the already tiny pool of Dmg % goblets

    There are some other reasons to hate this game: temporary events (we couldn't find out Scaramouche or Dragonspine or about Klee's mom unless we played in 1.2. 1.6 and 2.0) really bad artifact RNG there's like no RNG to getting a good artifact it's the same defense, HP, healing bonus and more that I can't think of right now

    If pvp was added I can imagine Beidou players just terrorizing everyone. Like imagine the average Xiao user that just pops burst and plunges to wipe everything getting absolutely sat down by a 4star

    I’m really love this game, and I have to say that the gacha isn’t too annoying for me, the fact there is a pity system makes it fine. If there was no way to guarantee anything then I’d go crazy. For example, artifacts. It’s absolutely horrible when you need one specific piece but it just won’t come. If they made an artifact pity system I would be so much more happy. I’d say other than that my biggest issue is the resin and time based stuff. I’m the kind of person who plays all the time. I have done everything. For example, I would like to go treasure hunting in Inazuma but because I’ve literally already 100% every island other than Watasumi I can not go treasure hunting without a treasure compass. And to get a treasure compass I have to wait multiple weeks for reputation quests to re-set. What am I supposed to do while I wait? I have everything I need that I get without resin and to get what I need with resin I have to wait. It’s just so draining having my favorite game basically telling me to stop playing it.

    1. Artifact RNG
    2. Spiral abyss is getting harder for newcomers and still has the same rewards since launch
    3. New characters needs specific materials that are locked in new regions (for newcomers ofc)
    Can't think of other reasons to hate.

    Also don’t forget, the RNG on if you rolled the right sub stat, you still need luck to get a max roll.

    I have to say(And I havent watched the video yet) That Direct PvP will never happen simply because people do too much damage and dont have enough health. The Jist is Eula=Win big Hutao bomb=win. Most characters properly built do about 50 K really fast. It is rare that a character has more than 30K.

      yeah, my friend’s eula burst (physical explosion) a lot of the time does 300k+. without zhongli shield there is no way to survive that.

      Honestly I can see PvP being a thing but only if the only characters you can play as are pre-build trial ones.
      Like you can play as any character but you can’t build them or anything, you use what Hoyo gives you.

    i think pvp would be cool if it had a system where you could kind of build a perfect character for yourself? like, you get to pick any of the playable characters, you can with no or minimal (in-game, like mora not primos) cost completely customize their gear from anything possible in the game. so you could make your own dream artifacts, choose a perfect weapon etc. i think it would be cool because you would still have to think about the perfect build for pvp but youre not limited by rng luck or money, so it would be completely strategy-based. also, it could be useful to check if a build youre thinking of is worth farming for, because you could see what numbers your character would do in the perfect scenario without having to do a lot of math outside the game.

    I think we need to highlight even more on the resin cap. As a f2p, this bothers me the most.
    What’s one the reason we play genshin? To get better loot so that your character becomes better.
    How to level up? Exp books and mora? Where to get? Ley lines, how to get ? Using resin
    You want to upgrade that weapon? At the domain, how to get? Using resin
    Oh, you want to get artifacts? How to get? USING RESIN
    And yet, they have a cap of 160
    Why even have 160 when u can do just do 8 domains/ 4 boses.
    Most of the things you want to get or play, u need resin. And yet that resin cap just keeps you for about 15 minutes or less. The point of playing a game is to play a game. The resin cap just defeats that purpose.
    Either no resin system (I doubt they will ever do that) or increase the resin cap to like 300.

    The worst thing for me is the lack of content. I stopped playing completely for half a year because there was just nothing to do except for dailies and spiral abyss (even that only lasts half an hour and resets every two weeks). And then there are only small and simple events that were over quickly and not challenging at all. New regions come out about every year and ur done with them in like a month. Now I only log in maybe once a week
