Bought this a few months back. Compared it to my decant of Layton and decided I don’t need the OG 😂 really loving it and quality/longevity wise it’s amazing, just like you said.

I LOVE cardamom! I’ve got to try Dusk! I have a batch of Layton from 2021 -78% formula and performance is great! I wore it yesterday and I woke up and I could very easily smell the dry down all over my arms. My issue is projection! For me, Layton only projects for 2 hours. Then it’s sits closer to me.
The opening is the best part of Layton for me because the dry down (which comes across as a beautiful woody vanilla) seems to be the PdM DNA base -I get the same dry down from Pegasus and Carlisle. Maybe I need to try different batches of Layton. Anyone else find this to be true?
In case anyone is curious. I have a sample of Layton and I have a bottle of Exclusif Bleu and can definitely say the only difference between the two is Exclusif Bleu is at least 2 times stronger than Layton, projects more and lasted longer on my skin.

I call BS. 2x stronger when Layton is already a projection beast. Don’t buy clones, people justify the erroneous when they buy them stating their identical or better than the original. We all know that isn’t the truth.
Have you ever reviewed the Teritoire cologne line? The Noir is an amazing scent with great performance and I think it is a PDM chlone
I bought a bottle a few months ago, in february I think, ended up giving it to my cousin because he loved it so much. I really like the opening, preferring it over Layton's. I do think I'll repurchase somewhat soon

My bottle just arrived. This is a dead-on clone of layton. I still prefer amber oud exclucif because I actually appreciate the slight difference and that makes it non-redundant, but this is more of a one-to-one clone.

Costume National I is better, slight twist on Layton with better performance than the OG! Also more masculine with leather and woods

Try vanilla fraiche from Montagne parfums they have that Vicks like scent in the opening as well

Just bought Dusk recently. It smells really high quality. The bottle is really high quality as well. But I am not really sure where to wear this scent. I really thought (because of the popularity of Layton) its more mass appealing. What do you guys think where and how to wear this type of scent?

Maybe the cardamom is throwing you off. Layton is very mass-appealing, and im under 18 so even to younger people it smells great. I personally have AOE Bleu, and haven't smelled Dusk. The size of the AOE Bleu is smaller but it compensates with the fact that you can spray less because of its crazy projection and longevity compared to all Layton clones. AOE smells 1 to 1 with layon, but maybe a slightly fresher vibe but 99% close

For Layton Luxodor Loyal Agar is also a phenomenal clone. Do give it a try ..
I own Dusk, Loyal Agar, Orientica Royal Bleu, Detour Noir and Alhambra Leyden. Royal Bleu (35% oil) and Loyal Agar are beast mode. My favourite out of them is Loyal Agar

@@UnknownbutKnown947 Dusk lasts slightly longer than Detour for me. Projects well for about 2 hours and lasts about 8 hours on skin and 12+ hours on clothes. In the air, Dusk and Detour smells similar, but if you smell up close, Dusk is higher quality and slightly more dense with the vanilla.

Never Regret, especially when you are blessed to be able to afford the OG., when most can not. Don’t regret, cuz clearly you can afford to buy the clone as well,. . and see yourself that there’s Always a slight difference in the exact DNA of any OG.
I splurged on a recent pdm sale and got Layton. I had enough leftover for my winter budget to order amber oud exclusive blue.
It shows up tomorrow, and I like Layton alot alot. Oajan is next on my list

@@emmanuelemman7699 ok I JUST sprayed it on my hand. So there's no menthol hit off amber oud Bleu like I'm assuming detoir noir has and Layton.
It doesn't smell like anything on my hand man. All I can smell with it is the silliage in the air around me and it does smell like Layton.
I'd have to personally smell you to know it isn't Layton tho. They are correct about smelling it in the air.
But my love for Layton starts with me enjoying it on myself from the opening and smelling that smooth drydown.
This is a keeper BUT I'll buy more bottles of Layton B4 I run out of Layton. It might work better in the heat but it's by no means an extrait parfum..
Wish these clone houses spent more on the scent and less on the boxing.
