- The 3DS battle theme from the enhanced remake from Dragon Quest 7 released in japan.
Seems this version of the song is different from the western version kinda like Dragon Quest 8 which had the songs changed from midi to orchestra.

Well, there's a mod, that puts the the orchestral soundtrack in the international version.
I can't believe they cut this version in the English release..

Ugh, I want this so badly to be released here. I thought Nintendo was in the business of pushing DQ a few years back!! We need more! (Best battle theme, too.)
With how successful DQ9 was and how great Bravely Default did in the west essentially proving yet again JRPGs are still popular over here I am honestly really surprised as to why sqaure enix don't want to localize this game :(
Bashir Mohamed It's a huge game, like over one hundred hours. Maybe the cost to translate is too high for what they think the sales will be.

+Catralitos it would have saved time and money, making it a worldwide release , doing the localization at the same time, they had all the scripts, and mapped out.

Taloon attacks, Susanne casts Kybuff.....all members defence goes up.........
the team attacks........
Edrick attacks the warmachine does 25 damage........
Taloon attacks the hocus chimera dose 22 damage.......
the monsters attack.......
warmachine shoots an arrow and slashes with its sword...........
does 15 damage to Edrick and 10 damage to talon..........
hocus chimera casts buff, its defence up 15.......

Omega Squad I’m 3 years late but they did it for Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam), and PS4. Highly recommend getting the Switch version (if u have one) or the Light Edition for PC and PS4 because they come with extras and Orchestral version.

Smash 456 Whatever censorship that may happen is such a minor petty thing. The new features and stuff makes them worth the purchase.
Both remakes are basicly completely new games, improved graphics DQ7 and mechanics for both.
+Smash 456 to play the DQ 8 in English uncensored you'll have to fork $$$ for a original PS2 disc then a PS2 console. Other wise you can play the iOS version and it's uncensored as well. Including Jessica's magic bikini. Though there is no sound and screen is locked in portrait . To save space. Graphics are near HD remaster quality.
They better release this in the USA! I wanna play this game for a while now since i never played 7 yet! (i played the other 9, counting 10 out due to japan only atm.)

Kumagai fights, Sakura casts oomph on - kumagai, Hiro casts kaibuff - every ones deffence is raised, Ichiro attacks. the slime knight takes 20 damage from kumagai, the slime knight takes 15 damage from Ichiro.
the slime knight attacks - slime knight causes 10 damage to Kumagai.
kumagai attacks, sakura casts kaifrizzle, hiro casts kaibuff - every body's deffence is raised, Ichiro attacks .
the slime knight takes 15 damage from kumagai, the slime knight takes 20 damage from sakura..........the slime knight is defeated.

@@popplio7891 That, and he really hates having the Orchestral Versions in the Games at all. He doesn't even hide that if he could, he wouldn't allow it, period, so that people have to buy the official recordings (and thus give him more money)

well I actually don't mind the MIDI music, and in some cases I prefer it over the Orchestrated, especially in DQ8, I love the 3ds version because of extra content and fixed design choices, and it ain't like the ps2 where I have to listen to the forsaken echoes that annoyed me with the regular orchestrated battle theme so much

You mean like literally every other Dragon Quest game other than IX?
yes, SE/Nintendo is making the change to make it less tedious, you can pick and choose your battles and mine monsters for items. they wont change 1-6 however, but will change 7 & 8. similar to DQ 8 youll be able to customize your clothes. plus many more refinments. these changes don't take away much from the game as a whole and makes it more fun playing.

Uh...define pick and choose battles?
@johnathan joestar - no more random battles, all the monsters are on screen and if fast enough can run away from them. that means you can mine monsters for gold or items much easier. in some areas they will automacaly respawn, like in DQ IX. east to gain XP fighting only the metal slimes.
I don't care what SE's excuse is, it's complete and utter bullshit that this game hasn't been localized.

The remake version of the battle theme is a little annoying. All I hear is a layer of sound going (Tss Tss Tss Tss) over and over like a snake or something.
