@@Srt3D01-db-01 till the shell breaks and the foam rips apart. Kinda the whole reason for the shell.
It's polycarbonate and in a $200 US helmet, it's still the same thickness for road helmets. It's meant to stop the helmet from catching on the road and breaking necks i.e. helmet should slide . My local department store sells ABS instead of PC and it's worse than what they use here.
