Holy crap, is that your car? It looks like it's in good shape for it's age. I had the same car at one time, and it had 495,000 kms on it when I sold it. The new owner put another 20,000 on it before driving through a flooded underpass and writing it off. I had the 2.0 liter engine in it, and it was bulletproof. Other than tires and brakes, in the 6 years I drove it, I put a gasket on the filler neck for the radiator, a new alternator, and 3 dash clusters. The clusters were lemons but the rest of the car was great. I'm almost jealous! lol

That's so cool. I was looping the front around my rearview mirrors last summer and it made it hard to open the doors. I'm definitely gonna try this on my jeep. Thanks Jason!

they sell those at several canoe gear stores with a heavy washer where the bolt go's thru.
my problem is the rear tie downs when I have to get under the car to find a place to hook the ratchet straps.i ended up taking a old rug along and put up with getting down on the ground.i also match up the portage bar with the roof rack and tie those together to keep the swaying down when behind big rigs.

Fantastic. I've never seen them sold in stores, but it makes sense that someone would package these.

Spring Creek Mfg “Top Ties” $14/pair has grommet. Or go to Northern Tool etc, buy ur own grommets and straps and make you own. Without the grommets are probably fine but I feel better with ‘em.
