I just discovered your channel today, and have been binging on your inspiring creativity, style, thrifting successes and up cycling! The red embroidered Chinese jacket is beautiful. The “little faces” are bats, which are the symbol of happiness, as the word for bat sounds the same as the word for happiness in Chinese “fu”, (although the characters are written differently). Each of the flowers will also have symbolic meanings, although I can’t quite identify what they are in the video. (Perhaps several types of Chinese magnolia? I can’t tell…)They are very unusual. Which means you have a very special piece! Which, of course, you knew. Thank you so much for sharing yourselves on your channel!
Thank you! That is so interesting about the bat being the symbol of happiness. All you shared is so inspirational. Thank you. Wishing you a gorgeous day💕💕💕

Hi Dave and Heather! I love all the treasures you have found. You guys find the best stuff! I too live on the Island. I love to thrift also! I live in the western part of the Island.
HI Heather, here's a little trick for removing the itch from clothing. Turn the item inside out and soak it in cold water and a few tablespoons of white vinegar for 15 minutes, making sure that all the fibers are thoroughly saturated. Drain. While the sweater is still wet, gently massage a generous amount of hair conditioner into the fibers. Avoid stretching the fibers, and don’t use a cheap hair conditioner, since those usually contain waxes that will cause a weird buildup. Let the conditioner sit on the sweater fibers for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water. Gently press excess water out, being careful not to stretch the garment out of shape. Dry it flat on a towel. Once it’s fully dry, fold it neatly and place it in a large ziplock bag. Now place the item in the freezer and let it sit overnight. In the morning: No more itchy sweater!
You two have become my comfort UA-camrs ❤️❤️❤️.
So happy to hear you enjoy the channel. Wishing you a wonderful day Tammy❤️❤️❤️
