This has been happening to me for years, since I got out of the Navy. Today I completely collapsed in the grocery store. It's scary. My doctor just tells me to stand up more slowly. Great advice.

This year I visited my parents who stay in the countryside and they have a fireplace, so whenever I sit on my legs near the fireplace and get up fast I would immediately feel dizzy and almost blackout. Standing slowly makes it much better.

@@iProHydro That makes no sense. Majority cases it's caused by long periods of sitting/lying down and decreased muscle tone due to inactivity. The gym would fix this. You're not going to faint walking round the gym unless you take a nap on a bench. If you work out regularly you should not have this problem unless you have some medical issue.

I’m 21 I’ve always had a slightly below average blood pressure but was assured it was a sign of good health. I thought it was normal to get out of bed feeling dizzy where I loose some consciousness and become limb in a moment that lasts less than a minute. Recently I woke up feeling like I just stepped off a roller coaster ready to throw up but ended up fainting.
According to my doc there is a higher chance of orthostatic hypotension leading to fainting if you are dehydrated which I was. I hope everyone in these comments live a long and healthy life and DRINK WATER DAMMIT!!!

I have NEVER seen others with this condition also speaking about their experiences with it. Its making me see that my symptoms are actually common and normal for this condition. I fall a lot, and i have this issue regardless of if I'm standing or not sometimes. Sometimes all it takes is for me to stretch my arms over my head. Or whenever i turn my head/move too suddenly or swiftly. I can't breathe fully anymore, I always feel exhausted. My heart rate will speed up dramatically, then slow down suddenly. I'm trying to learn more about it finally, after 5+ years of knowing, but i suspect I've had it my whole life. Its gotten a lot worse. I'm 22.

I either stumble around like I'm drunk (usually bumping into things because I can't see) or black out. When I black out, I can feel myself falling, but other than that I'm unconscious. For those who don't know, small fiber neuropathy that affects the autonomic system is also a cause of orthostatic hypotension. Studies now show that c*vid and the c*vid vax can cause these symptoms due to small nerve fiber neuropathy. A neurologist can do a skin punch biopsy to check for SFN, as well as a qsart test for diagnosis. An autonomic specialist (like my cardiologist) does autonomic testing to diagnose orthostatic hypotension due to SFN.

My father had a bad internal bleed from high dose pain killer and that lowered his blood pressure. He didn't realize when he was going #2, it was mostly blood. He ended up getting blood transplants and after week or two it finally solved it but the doctors couldn't find exactly where the bleed was, despite various tests and scans and making him swallow some device which he never found in his doody. Father also has various comorbidity issues, like congestive heart and kidney failure.
My hubby sometimes wakes up in middle of the night to pee and instantly faints for a second. He works out hard at the gym, he is nearly 60. He drinks a few coffee and teas a day but not too much water. I think his may be from dehydrated, maybe some electrolyte issue, as he sweats a lot and sometimes gets cramps. I give him enough protein meals but maybe magneisum.

I did consulted my doctor about this and he says that I’m fine. When I stand up my head feels dizzy&heavy and my vision gets bright&black. It doesn’t matter if I sit/lay down for a long time, just sitting down and standing up makes my head feels heavy. It feels somewhat like when I’m having my carsick. I was born with carsick. It started with that, and later happens often when I’m showering. I remember once it got so bad, that my eyes went from completely brightness to darkness, i lose strength on my limbs, I got tinnitus and then I couldn’t hear anything. I think I almost lose all consciousness, before my mom dragged me out of the shower, where I was half way to the ground. She said that my lips turned purple, and then I got better laying on bed. I think the showering has to do with just the standing up&feeing dizzy, but they might be different conditions. I’m honestly not sure.

I just wanna know if I have this
    (i’m 14)
so this just recently started idk when i think around the beginning of 2020??? I’m not sure but one morning I got up for school went to the bathroom. When I got up i stretched and my vision went all black. Then I lost control and fell, I got up and realized i fell inside the bathtub and my head was hurting a lot. My mom was outside the bathroom and told me she was calling my name a bunch of times before i finally answered.
Other times I’ll just stand in one spot for a few seconds before falling. When I get up my head will hurt reallllllly badly. (Even if I fall on the couch or the bed my head will just hurt for a minute)

This only happened to me once back when I was 18 (29 now). I remember I was sitting on my bed at night doing my homework and I got up quick to put my paper at the standing lamp to see better. Next thing I know, everything was going dark and I realized I was falling over. Then I was fumbling the lamp before knocking it over and falling to the ground. I thought it was because of the bright light. Now I realize it’s because I got up quick.

I have bouts of this, always first thing in the morning. I get up and start moving around making my breakfast or whatever and just feel like I could pass out, and my heart rate seems elevated. Sometimes if I get up real fast I have chest pain, and once my heart rate went to like 120 bpm. I go and lay back down for a few moments and it goes away. But even minor movements do it, like if I'm asleep, and move from my side to my back, my heart rate increases by like 20 beats until my body settles again. A lot of time I think I'm dehydrated at night. I'm skinny too, 5'11 and 140 pounds. I know a lot of skinny people who say they experience the same thing.

Happened to me for the first time after getting the 2020 or 2021 flu shot when I was 14 or 15. I was in the doctor's office still, waiting for my mom to schedule the next appointment when I just felt really tired. I leaned against the wall and then my knees gave out and the brought me in to lay down on a bed.
Since then I've found out I'm anemic. It doesn't happen everytime I stand up and it's usually just 3-8 seconds of blindness but one time I fainted. I went blind, held my arms out like I normally do, reached for my door frame and then just fell. Maybe 5-20 seconds later I woke up thinking woah... That's not good.

Thank you for this video I’m going to try to drink more water and get up slower and see what happens.
