The funny thing is that while they gave him the sword mace, it wasn't the only primary loadout that he had. He also had the dual maces for mass combat.Barbatos was never particularly attached to a particular weapon, but the flanged mace was always a staple in his arsenal.
The Lupus uses the sword mace. His original was lost a while back during reentry, he upgraded to the Wrench Mace, which was destroyed by Ein in their fight at the end of S1. He later gets the twin maces, and then the Lupus Rex uses the huge one
