I personally am using room temperature, but I have some eggs hatching in a pot/planter outside that is ~55F at night and gets up to 80F during the day, partial sun. they will hatch without much trouble
yes, the yellow ones are already fertilized. i have been pulling eggs off mine every couple of days in a similar way and ~85-95% of yellow eggs develop eyes. as mentioned in the video, unfertilized eggs are clear and quite goopy, like hair gel. yellow fertilized eggs are like squishy ceramic beads, especially after 24 hours
I might start doing this since they aren’t putting on the spawning net I have for them but that tank is a planted tank
