Trust me : skipping hints is the dumbest thing you'll do in any strategy-focused game like arknights , this logic had saved me from making multiple wasted attempts
Yeah this is why i tend to pause and use practice to see the info about the enemy, and test the water using decent damage ops, if the water is clear i use the decent damage ops to clear the stage, and if the water is rough then full tactical ops it is for the stage i'm facing.

What's a rarity abuser? I'm new to Arknights and I just use who is cool.

No and that's a bit harsh. I'm pretty sure a decent part of the "don't read mechanics" skit is played for entertainment. Likewise, not being efficient isn't shameful. So long as it's fun 's all working well.
