They did an awesome job! It's free style therefore, they chose a song that flowed . The dancer are great! I oved it. There are to many haters out there.
I know Susana - and her partner Super Mario. They are both awesome. This looks like it would be really interesting if I could see it on the beat, but it is so jarring b/c of the f'd up streaming that I can't really get a sense of it ( and therefore imitate it!)
Most of the dance is done in the open position, yet it's more sexy and sensual than most of the other stuff found on youtube. Plus, turns weren't overused like most of the others. It's almost like the two of them knew what they were doing. :-)

No, the music is not traditional bachata music, but the dance steps are. Get over it people! Dance is a form of artistic expression and lots of dancers nowadays are combining genres and experimenting with new styles of music. And you've gotta admit, this couple is pretty amazing!

To address the bachatango comment: when you reach the level of dance master, you have a wide repertoire of dances and figures and shapes to choose from, use them how you wish to express the music. Again, when you reach a certain level, you can leave the "syllabus" and create your own dance, which these two demonstrate admirably. They call it "bachatango", a mix between bachata suaves movimentos and typical legs moves from Tango. I don't like it because it's bringing together two danses already very rich : bachata is erotic, man and woman making love, while tango is sensual, man and woman fighting. Tango is a march, with total control of footstep and rythm to the man, while bachata has this 4 steps basic. This bachatango kills tango improvisation and render bachata less erotic. But that's kind of spectacular, so why not!

Second she moves moves way to much. third the guy is way to stiff for her movement...sorry guys but watch the other videos here and u'll see what i mean.

It is Lamento Boliviano by Toque d'Keda. That's the bachata version. They also sing Debo Pensar which is an even better song.
