To prepare for the main story of Dorothy's Vision that will strongly relate to Rhine Lab faction. I decided to make this story video about Rhine Lab. Their origin and bits of stories of its members, especially focusing on Saria, Ifrit, and Silence before and after "Diabolic Crisis"

A little adds:
Rhine Lab didn't found Hayden Pharmaceutical, it was a small company before the project and Kristen merely "invested" them and took control easily, which is a method Rhine Lab secretly use for many times avoiding Saria's attention.
Ifrit isn't the only test subject, as there're multiple of them but none survived. Ifrit went berserk and burned all living creatures of Hayden unconciously, which make her the sole survivor of the incident.
The reason why Ifrit went bersek the second time, is that Silence's drug to fake her death was put in Ifrit's favorite candy. Theoretically the dose will make her completely unconcious, but Ifrit only eat half of the candy so she can give the other half to Saria, which is also one of the reasons why Saria gived up executing Ifrit.
That last sentence legit made me tear up

Rhine Lab feels like a mix of the worst science organizations in fiction. I'm talking about Umbrella, Aperture Science, Cerberus, and many others that would need a Google search for anyone not a dedicated fan or have bad memory.
Add Shinra to the list. Wonder when Rhine Lab Sephiroth will show up. surely they have heir own Prof. Hojo

Well im suprise no character has yet to be seen as a plant human hybrid seeing how many character has animal feature out there. Maybe rhine sephiroth could be a venus fly trap/bird human hybrid monstrosity.
Man... Ifrit story is messed up. Also this makes me want to use Saria more and more. She's genuinely such an interesting character. Excited to see the event story myself.

My most played ops (from last year data compilation event) is saria, she's my first m9 ops, all of her skill is usable and her base stats is amazing
I just want my crew that suffered from experimentation and abuse to be happy. Justice for Ifrit!
Ifrit and Rosmontis, Ros was also experimented on by someone affiliated to Rhine Labs and their research was being used by Dorothy.

(7:52) Ifrit was not originally a Sarkaz, she was a Savra girl who had been experimented in Rhine Lab's top secret project in bringing a rare Sarkaz race, Diablos, one of 10 Sarkaz Royal Court.
It was Ahrens Parvis's idea to continue experiment on Ifrit, he wanted to see if this research could really turn other race to a Diablos Sarkaz, by injecting a Diablos blood on non Sarkaz.
Wait till the Sarkaz Royal Court especially Theresis hear this, they will not let someone to desecrate their legancy.
@@dreamers8703 It's not a rare story for them though, Diablos was one of the Royal Court quite many years ago, but was removed from it because Diablos were extincted.
@@dreamers8703 Maybe this is one of the reason why Theresis take over Victoria and planning to rebuild Kazdel Empire, so that's no one will disrespect Sarkaz ever again.
So there is a scientific way of turning somebody in to Sarkaz. One is via experimentation and infusion of real/pure blooded Sarkaz into somebody who is not and Sanktas turning into Sarkaz.
It means that some Sarkaz might have high chance that they were not Sarkaz before.

I'm amazed at not mentioning, even tangentially, how Mansfield's Break happening is a derivate from these sequence of events, trying to obtain further evidence on all the stuff that Rhine Labs has been involved on for their inhumane experiments (which Saria never managed to obtain solid proof of even after meeting with Tin Can in the manga, and Silence doesn't have anything on, which is the entire reason neither has blown the lid on, and were independently trying to get Anthony out of Mansfield).
So, Silence brings Ifrit to the RI for treatment of her severe condition, but instead we are sending her to the frontline to commit multiple war crimes.

I mean. We're also sending Rosmo out to commit _AKIRA_ style mass violence as _healthy catharctic outlet_ so yeah.

I really appreciated this video as someone who got into Arknights fairly recently (August last year). I'm an avid story enjoyer and was (still is) rather confused about the story's chronology beyond the main story, and since Arknights' story is hella long comparatively I'd rather not spend 3+ hour reading something without knowing what the hell is even happening. After this video I can read Dorothy's Vision without worrying I wouldn't understand the references.

It’s kinda weird that they already have helicopters and tilt-rotors aircraft (which arguably more sophisticated than an aeroplane) but not the plane itself lol
@@phong.w4829 Not arguably, _definitely._ Basic bitch planes started being built in damn barns about as soon as engines with decent enough power-to-weight ratio hit the market. Was 'round forty years longer 'fore the first viable helos started taking off, and tilt-rotors?
Hoo boy.
Folks started tinkering with the idea about as soon as heavier-than-air flight had been proven viable. An actual operational design (as opposed to experimentals and protos) took most of a _century_ - and a good two decades of work by the best-funded, highest-tech military on the planet - to reach production. (Tilt _jets_ were actually simpler to realize despite the underlying engine tech being substantially younger...)
Evidently that vertical/horizontal rotor transition is way bigger pain in the ass to actually get working properly and reliably than laymen might presume.
The Rhine lab manga is a really good read.

Taking Ifrit to RI was probably the best choice. Not only because RI's treatment is the best, but also RI is full of Sarkaz ops, so she won't feel singled out / different.
If there's an operator that I always bring to a new mission since the early days of Arknight... It is definitely Saria.

thats the reason im so grateful to frostbyte as much as i like the story its too long in game when i want to be doing other things. If i could grind while reading it i would be more tempted to do so
Hell yes. I always scramble to find and review the related op. Records and side stories before an event drops. This recap video is even more helpful than the event summary afterwards

i really hope they will anime that rhine lab manhua someday, saria definitely going to be fighter guard if she getting an alter, probably deal true damage ignoring defense and consume some of her hp using the skill.
My main game has always been Azur Lane, but when Arknights dropped I played it non stop for a few months. I then dropped it for over a year, maybe two, and recently came back around the Gavi-alter event. Given all that, this video was seriously cool to watch, especially as someone with practically zero grasp on the story at all. Extremely well done!

Is Asbestos part of Rhine Lab? She is part of Magellan's team exploring the north if I remember.
If I'm not mistaken she's just love exploring with Magallan, possibly in Magallan's team too few times, But not hired or work for R.L
Asbestos is from RIM Billiton and is simply an aficionados of exploration. She is doing it as a hobby and is therefore totally independent (no affiliation nor backing).
Asbestos being indie is very rare and makes her relatively well known among her peers, and that's probably how Magellan discovered her, met her, and introduced her to Rhodes Island.
@@hollymolly6579 Not quite, Asbestos mostly explores on her ownself. She ran into Magallan back in Bolivar and later on after joining Rhodes Island(per introducion from Magallan)and hearing about the Northern Icefields there again. In the second Case she joined Magallan, because Magallan knew the Area better. Outside of these two Cases tho, she travels and explores by herself. The only Person Asbestos ever "invited" to come with her, is the Doctor(read her Token Discription).
She's the soloist.
She did work with Magellan for sure but unlike Magellan who prefers to work with sponsorship, she has to work in a place many companies find valuable to explore.
On the other hand, Asbestos likes being an explorer and goes wherever she wants and with her recklessness, she got infected [though she doesn't give a damn about her life] because she lacks proper gear and funding.

At first I thought Muel was a liberi because of the feathers. But she has pointy ears that none of the other lineri have. So I'm thinking some dinosaur based race like Savra or some Mythology based race similar to Manticore.
