I’m glad you reviewed these as I’m planning on adding them to my collection. Wasn’t sure about them as I haven’t tried them yet. Just picked up Writers Tears Limited Edition Marsala Cask Finished 95 proof, not opened yet. I want to pick up a few more bottles so I can compare them. 🥃 Happy Holidays 🎄
Oh thank you so much for watching! I have never tried any Writers Tears. I don’t think I’ve seen a bottle in Colorado. Hope you enjoy! Happy Holidays! Cheers! 🎄🥃
Greetings and best wishes from Dublin ☘️You missed a trick at the beginning, you could have opened with “in the Red corner…and in the Blue corner”…😉 Nice job on your review, I have the redbreast cast strength ready to go as soon as I get through the Redbreast Lustau that Im currently very much enjoying! Can’t wait to check out the spots too 👍
We haven’t had either in Ohio for several months, the RB CS for over a year. Blue Spot is supposed to be re-stocked in the Spring in the US. The best CS Irish Whiskey is Killowen and Two Stacks. Killowen is the smallest distillery in Ireland and finally coming to the US. Two Stacks has the highest ABV of any Irish Whiskey at 65%.
Another lovely dram to add to your Irish flight should be the Power's 12 yr John's Lane 46% also its a Middleton Distillery expression so same pot still different result.
With Blue Spot I get a lot of pineapple like pineapple upside down cake, with a bit of black pepper on the finish. I ordered a bottle of Blue Spot from Mitchell & Son when it released in Ireland. I still have some left, I like it but I don’t love it.
@@stacieh4023 Got ya. I’d agree it’s a little too peppery, but do think it needs a couple more years also. 12 years….Yellow Spot seems to be the sweet spot for the range.
New subscriber here from FL. I like your review to both whiskey. I am a bourbon drinker, but I like Red Breast. Still couldn’t find Blue Spot.
Thank you for no BS review. I found one in the wild, but I need to finish two bottles before I open it. Great work!
Thanks so much for watching! Totally understand that! Cheers!
Have yet to have any of these bottles since I cannot find them but I’m a big fan of the normal 12, great review!
Thank you so much for watching! I thought I’d never find a Blue Spot. Ahh whiskey hunting is so fun haha. Cheers! 🥃

Actually it is in Denver but I just haven’t had it!
If you can find the Writers Tears Mizunara, it’s outstanding
Definitely a big fan of Red Breast 12, looking forward to finding the cask strength. Great review! Cheers!
Great stuff! Thanks so much for watching! Cheers!

Feel the same. It’s great juice, but just too young.
@@utoobia I don’t feel it’s too young necessarily. It’s too peppery.

Green Spot and Redbreast 12 are very different, If you review those two I’d add in Powers John’s Lane. It’s the same category and same price point.
Oh yes! Definitely agree!
I see Redbreast 12 cask strength almost every store I visit. Never see a blue spot
Yeah, Blue Spot is a tough one to find!
