- Roger Tarrant of Reform UK explains how Reform UK’s policies are all fully costed at his Meet the Candidate event in Redruth on Wednesday 26th June 2024
He talks about Quantitive Easing, Bank interest, refers to the policy document with a list of what Reform UK are going to pay for and a list of costs and explains how Reform UK have a health £10 billion buffer.
He also lets you know about some other policies such as
Abolish business rates for small and medium size business and instead introduce a delivery tax.
Raise the Corporation tax threshold, meaning small businesses can earn up to £150,000 tax free
Raise the threshold for having to charge VAT to £150,000 this will both reduce costs and reduce red tape on small businesses.
These 3 policies will super charge the economy in the UK by encouraging people to start and run small businesses as people will be able to keep more of what they make.
Furthermore Roger explains how Reform UK will let employees earn up to £20,000 without paying any income and then will also only have the lower rate of income tax band up to £70,000 this will mean that 100% of working people will pay less in income tax.

Its been calculated that private schools get £25k from the government and state schools get £17k. Thats a £8k saving. I don't see why normal working people should subsidise millionaires and billionaires. They can find the money if they want to. Yeah ok some parents might have to put their children into state schools but if you can't afford something you cant.
