    can't wait for the V2's!! I don't really do time travel plots very often, but I do perform a "freeze time" plot where I prove my ability to manipulate time by doing a series of ring vanishes and appearances which I say is only possible through the manipulation of time, and then finish that trick by dropping the ring from one hand to the other and having it freeze in mid air for a brief moment so that it's "frozen in time"

    I remember my grandfather. He was a clock maker, I remember being in his work shop as a kid while he spent hours making these beautiful time pieces. Unfortunately, as tends to happen - later in life, he became pretty sick so he couldn't work on them any more, he gave me the last watch he ever made to remember him by. (Take off watch, and let the person hold it - get them to confirm the correct time shown - boast about how accurate it is but that you're going to show them one weird aspect of the watch - turn it over in the palm of their hand). That same night he died in his sleep. I remember being so upset, I just ran to his work shop and through my tears I saw that all the clocks were stuck on the same time, I can only guess that it was the time my grand dad had died - it was almost like they were mourning him, they were stuck on 3:37am. (Reveal time on watch to be 3:37).

    My favourite plot in magic is probably what Daniel does with his stories. He tells you not to trust him, he tells you that he’s a swindler, and a card cheat. Somehow though at the end of it you’re still surprised that he’s a cheat and can pull four aces from the middle of a deck blindfolded. His performance on Fool Us is one of those things that has always stuck with me for the epitome of telling a story with magic.

    I got chills thinking about when you said "if you would take us back three years ago and told us this is the life we were living" (Chris and Peter). Its so weird watching you guys both come up (a good weird) and fulfilling your dreams, I am so glad I have got to witness it from the start. Hopefully in 3 years I will be able to fulfill my dreams as well..

      There are time travel theories where you can only travel back as far as the invention of time travel. So you wouldn't be able to travel back to the 1100's, but only to the moment time travel was invented. It would take a long time for it to become really useful.

      I think the only way to time travel could happen is if we have the ability to travel light years away in space in relative to the earth, if we could somehow get in the vicinity of a black hole without being sucked in where the time space continuum would be stretched

    I once used your trick as a time travel plot. The spectator hit the “x” perfect. I then told them I was going to travel back in time and get their randomly selected order of cards embroidered on my hat. I proceeded to remove the hat and reveal the sequence of numbers. After, they were talking amongst themselves and they said, “He had to have traveled back in time that’s the only way that’s possible.” I had grown adults confidently believing I could travel in time. So with this watch to expand on that exact routine is going to be amazing. Thanks for the content Chris.

I showed the students some tricks I created using your tips from your videos. I made it all about living up to your dreams and being a better generation. • @justshirley1209
      @justshirley1209 5 років тому

      Predicting and calculating possible outcome is about analogy, or simply deducting actions from cause and effect. You're not seing into the future, because the future can be different then what you've deduced. ( the same way it can also be what you deduced, but it's not because you deduced it that it means it will happen) If you think of a word before someone sais it, it means your "mindset" is similar to the person speeking, therefore since you think alike, you can deduce what the person will say, before they say it. it's what happens when someone starts a sentence and they don't have to finish it, but you've already understood. So, can our minds scientifically see into the future the way you described it, i don't beleive so. But, seing how the human mind has the capability of vision
      ( seing and imagining ) and creation ( executing ), and seing how the execution of the idea we visualised in our minds can have an impact on the future, it's always a matter of probability, then yes, in your mind you have the capacity to "see into the future"

    That's honestly a super cool idea. Love it. I could even do this trick at work if the watch wasn't so expensive.

    update: I just got the watch and it works like a charm. There are several things you can do with it. I personally don't like the time travel thing, but I do like how the owner/performer is doing his tricks. I also like the method used by Chris in this video, which nuff said about that.

    IDK if this is my favorite but I've always wanted to have this as a kid...and endless bag that has objects that are impossibly big, I loved Justin Willmans take on it where he produced whatever they wanted, beautiful demonstration of something you would do if you ACTUALLY had magic abilities

    Your watch performance didn't predict the future, it predicted the past.

    I thought Turner Watch should be known by as few people as possible

    • @MattyWhipple
      @MattyWhipple 5 років тому +1

      Yeah, it actually does bother me a bit because their website strait up just tells you how the watch works, so there is a chance Chris is exposing it a bit, but I'm okay with it I guess. The odds of me running I to someone in my professional work that knows how it works are still extraordinarily small.

      Its a shame. Chris Ramsey has 2.2 million abbonements and many more viewers. Many of them which are even not magicians at all, they just love to watch him solve riddles. And he is revealing one good secret after the other to those muggles. Its really a big shame in my opinion.
