Thank you for these past 7 reaction videos. It was a lot of fun and you chose great vlogs to review. I remember that you did the rt 66 trip with the carpetbagger and I thought for sure that large marge was going to be part of it. Now I understand what happened. Can’t wait for the next video, keep on trucking!

Adam, I really enjoyed your cross country journey in Large Marge right after you got it. I remember the episode in texas when you met Billy Corgan and thought that was pretty cool. Have you ever thought of doing a podcast where you just sit down with a friend or someone you are a fan of and just talk life. Just thought when you met Billy how fun that episode was. Keep up the vogs. You're helping me in this COVID times.

I like these nostalgia videos. As a RV owner, I can relate. I bought it with lofty dreams of driving cross country and sleeping wherever I want. Reality was very different! In fact, it was stressful af. Fuel was EXPENSIVE! It’s hard to navigate, people tailgating and cutting you off all the time. When parked, it was always very hot or very cold inside. People always trying to look into your windows. Once, I stopped to eat, opened the windows to let the breeze in and after finishing my meal, I sat back, looked out the window and some dude was passing by complaining to his wife, “that guy is just kicking back in there!” Like that was against the law or something. I could go on and on but yeah, RV life isn’t all it’s hyped up to be.

From 1981 to 83 my husband and I lived in a 25ft Indian motor home with 2 dobermans, towing my little Ford Comet. We traveled through 36 states, following government work, hanging siding on base housing. It wasn't always easy but we loved it. Got to see Grand Canyon, Mt Rushmore, spent a winter in Minot, ND in 40 below temps, Ruidoso, NM, just everywhere! Miss those days but have a million memories. When we sold it to settle down we went to the extreme of getting a farm in Ohio. Good luck in your future travels!

I think I may speak for most "Woovians",: we really enjoyed your nostalgic trip in showing past videos. The way you presented your thoughts of what was going through your mind in the past versus the way you felt today was a good contrast. I hope you make this a semi-regular feature, maybe once a month. We see how Adam the Woo has changed but, yet has remained the same too. It makes for a good contrast. Thank you for all of your hard work. I would also like to give a shout out to your mom for a belated Happy Mother's Day and your dad for an early Happy Fathers Day. As we say in the south "they done raised you right". Thanks for being Adam the Woo!

I bought a used 42 foot 5th wheel 5 years ago. I've had to learn a lot about how badly these things are built. Next time, I will buy a cargo trailer and rig it out how I want. The propane is stressful even for this 65 year young man. But then there is the giant learning curve on solar and batteries.

Never seen your videos before but this video came across my feed so I clicked it because I was curious as to why an RV wouldn't work out for someone. And yeah, you're absolutely right for your case. Back in 2014 I actually rented an RV from Cruise America, their 30' model to go from Chicago to Connecticut then NYC and back. Best road trip my family and I have ever taken, we still laugh about it today! Definitely would do it again and would totally love to own a RV of my own some day. But yeah, even just renting it I did months and months of research and pre-planning beforehand to make sure this completely out of the box adventure didn't go sideways anywhere during the trip. So I could only imagine the level of research I would need to do to commit to purchasing one to suit my lifestyle. I can't imagine the discomfort you must've endured by making an impulse purchase like that! The van is far easier to drive, store, maintain, conceal, and daily than a RV. A RV is only an upgrade from a van to live in if you have a reliable place to camp out every night... EVERY NIGHT. And the income to maintain it.

And, I'll be honest with you, I never loved Large Marge. She just never felt comfy to me, like the van did. Perhaps she would've grown on me, but I see now why the time for that never happened. Hey Adam! Thanks for producing this fine little series for all of us! It is interesting, with the benefit of hindsight, how you really felt about Large Marge compared to my reaction having seen almost every video she was in. Thanks Adam. I've been a life long RVer and much of what you said comes naturally now. I know how to make it work. My last two RVs have been huge 5th wheels and I even lived in the last one for a couple years. I have that one up for sale now. I purchased a toy hauler trailer now and I can pull it behind my Yukon. It has room to sleep four and the back door opens down to make a patio. I can bring my dogs with me and they have access to the fenced patio so I don't worry so much if I go somewhere and leave them behind.
There is a lot to be said for traveling light though. Motels aren't a bad thing and it can be just about as cheap and convenient as an RV. As I get older, I'm realizing that bringing all my "stuff" is not really necessary.

Thanks again for the look back! We all make mistakes, and I have done plenty, but keep moving forward, learning from the past. When I was in my mid twenties right after college I bought a heavy duty pickup and was going to buy a camper which was fitted into the back. Very popular at the time. New job and other things, never bought the camper. Sold the truck and it had a long life after me, even converted to run on propane. (knew the owners after me).

Hey, Adam! I really liked watching those episodes in Large Marge, like when you ran into Billy Corgan and had lunch with him. What? Out of the blue like that? Or that time the nice family tracked you down & you spent the day with them going on rides & what-not. I got the impression you felt obligated to do that & you may have started regretting letting people know your daily route, and also what your vehicle looked like. I see it today when you are on the road & just give an "idea" what part of the state you'll be traversing that day.

The hike starts just inside the park gate at the three graves. (a back story in itself)

No problems mate! thanks for 'splaining' where she went! (personally, I think you need something smaller) I know it is a hassle and it isn't for everybody. Heck, I used to have a Toyota truck w/small dolphin camper on the back & when I say small, it was very small, made for tiny people. You have to fill up the propane, empty the septic tank, fill it up w/water & make sure it is leveled. If anything breaks, it's on you to fix it. Plus, some of them use a lot of gas or diesel. Then there's upkeep on the vehicle, ect. (maybe you could eventually get a camper-van, don't know???)ty for the video!

I’ve loved all of your adventures. It is a smart individual, that knows when something is not working for them and changes their course. You are incredibly creative and adaptive and know when to change things around for yourself. Loved this series on reminiscing. Can’t wait for next adventures.

You speak about stress and upkeep of Large Marge and yet listening to you, and I remember watching this, you seem to be, or at least sound, so much happier than you do now ! You seemed a little ‘resigned’ to things as they are for all of us right now. I know you are not one to feel down, however, even the best of us may be having trouble right now. Good luck Adam, love your vlogs, keep up the good work. Alison, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺 xoxox

The video I would have liked to see again was when you met Billy Corgan and he took you to a diner for lunch.

Might be good for you to look at what in the UK are called Transit Vans. Swift Vans in the US maybe?
Vans not much bigger than your old van but people convert them to have beds, kitchen and shower areas.
So smaller and cheaper to run but with the comforts of an RV.
You probably already know this but look up van dwellers and you’ll see them.

I live rural maine. Today's trucks has the 700 footers sailing by with a jake brake on a pickup truck. I learned years ago, just get something that unhooks from the vehicle. those campers never last.. be it the engine side or the camper itself. Keep it in pieces. Get rid of stuff and keep going. At least you got to experience an RV.. a life experience. I grew up with family trucking. I never wanted to camp urban style ever again.

A few years back, we RV'd from California to Louisiana, then into Missouri. Then all the way back. It was a great trip, but the gas by itself was a huge cost. Plus everything you mention. I was bowling in a tournament, so I couldn't drive the RV to the location. It was good that my friend and teammate drove so that I could ride with him over.
