EXTREME Rainbow High Doll Make-Over: Reroot, Eyeswap & Flocking on Krystal Bailey

- In today's video, I'm giving a BIG make-over to my Rainbow High Krystal Bailey doll! Because there were some quality issues with her, I received a replacement for her, which is when I decided I wanted to give my Krystal doll a complete new look.
For this new look, I was very inspired by one of my biggest idols: Rihanna. That's why I really wanted to give this doll an eye swap with green eyes. Also, I rerooted her with very high quality DG-HQ Nylon Hair. To finish off the look, I gave her "shaved" sides a flocked finish!

I love both! She reminds me of this celeb Coco Jones. It’s a good thing because she is gorgeous and looks like a miniature Jennifer Hudson. I hope you at some point give this Krystal box braids and fun black girl hair styless. I really appreciate your dedication to rerooting :)

I am thinking of buying Crystal off Amazon because I can never find any dolls of her in my local Targets. I really want the fishnets that Crystal comes with as well, as they would look amazing with so many of the doll's looks. I also got Poppy's main doll a few weeks ago and I think she may be my favorite character in the whole RH line. I love Poppy's freckles and her whole orange/peachy pink color scheme. She also looks amazing in Bella's thigh highs paired with the butterfly heels. Her dress and boots are amazing pieces as well. Overall, Poppy is amazing and I'm so happy I got her. And I have heard amazing things about Crystal, so she is the next one I want to save up for and get.

When it's dry, I like to brush off the shaved sides thoroughly! Then it's fine!

She looks amazing, dose this flocking stick really well? I’ve been afraid it would just come off real easy??
Thank you!! The flocking sticks very well with the mod podge! You do want to be careful with heating the head a lot after this, but it can take water pretty well too. When I curled the hair, I didn't have to be super careful of the flocking or anything!
Oh, and I do prefer to apply 2 layers of flocking for a perfect coverage!

I'm just curious how did you get her paint on her scalp not to flake off? Especially because you kept dipping her in water. I've seen other people paint their doll heads but paint flakes off easily when they reroot and they don't dip them in water like you do. As usual your styling of the dolls is so pretty. I love seeing you make them prettier than what they already are. Thank you 🥰
I actually struggle with that a lot too, but learnt that adding Mod Podge to the glue on the scalp helps a LOT!! Keeps it very nice and flexible

Were did you get that hair? Is this nylon hair softer that the nylon available at many online retailers? I love saran for its softness and silkyness, but nylon is always the better choice if you plan to make no-heat waves and curls. But the nylon hair I got from 2 different online stores is rather stiff (I mean: not as soft as saran). I hope which kind of nylon did you get for this reroot...
This is DGHQ Nylon that can be found on TheDollPlanetHair (on Etsy). This hair is SO soft and silky, I've never enjoyed nylon hair this much!
