The way he just belts the absolute shit out of the "voice" in "deafened me with your voice" is otherworldly. Absolutely huge.

This song literally went backwards. It was explosive in the beginning and I feel it progressively got softer as it got closer towards the end. Beautiful musicianship and overall ambience! Great job 👏

2:42 onwards, chills EVERYWHERE. that last note really took me by surprise.
the choruses sound similar to beyond belief but it's almost like the rest of the song pays an homage to their first album, i fucking love it.
Completely encapsulates my relationship with faith. I try so hard but nothing ever seems to change.

As a Christian dude, I'd be super curious to know where the lyrics came from.
I kind of interpreted it as he really did try to reach out to God and follow Jesus, but in everything he did he actually felt like he drifted further and further away from him. Just feels different to the cooky cutter "let's hate God" trend, but rather a real raw emotion outcry to just not understanding why when he tries so hard to follow God, he ends up being let down. Like God is just not answering him. Like he can't fathom why when he feels like he does the right thing, he's let down by the response/result.
I don't know, just my interpretation. I could be far off the actual meaning, but I just love hearing raw emotions to how people feel about God when it comes from a "I just don't get it" viewpoint rather than a hateful viewpoint with no backing or understanding. Such a good tune and so raw. This is what music is all about! 👏🏼🤘🏼

As a (kinda) lukewarm Christian, my personal experience with others of faith, is that it is always a struggle between doubt and faith. Looking at the world, knowing this is the devils domain, and that God is omnipresent, omnipotent but chooses not interfere with our free will. It challenges the idea of a loving God. At least in my experience.
This band deserves so much more recognition . They just can’t make bad songs, everything they create just sounds amazing and unique. I can’t wait for the album.

Fellas this is an absolute masterpiece! Everything from the aggressive vocals at the start and finish to the ambient passages to the soaring chorus to the lyrical theme of doubting faith in God, completely flawless from start to finish. I’m already seeing an album of the year here and despite all the shit going on in the world it’s a great time to be alive with music like this 👍

I'd love a metalcore song too, but I wouldn't want it to be common place. Thier iconic sound is the best one. They should not give it it up.
