The Hand Of Vecna Is Broken!

- If you ever roll a 20 in a chest & obtain the hand of vecna make sure to use it! When you attune the hand to yourself, when sprinting you'll notice that lockers are now highlighted in yellow. As soon as you fast jump into a locker you'll be teleported away allowing you to escape the killer however it does cost 1 health state. The hand can be recharged by fully healing.

The killer still wouldn't know where did u go
The teleport is not random, you go to the furthest locker from the one you were in. It's best used when near the corner of a map.

was playing ptb with bots and oh boy! The fact that the bots can use this is alarming! the moment it saw me It literally just jump into a locker in front of my face lol! they're more toxic than real survivors tbh

Vecna has voice lines whenever a survivor uses his hand or eye how many of those could be heard?
Vecna can instantly kill you if you have his special artifacts and you have a mori or something, using the “reclaim artifact button”

I don't consider this OP, because even as an anti-chase ability for survivors, the killer still gets a health state for free. It's win-lose for both sides, so technically you could say it's actually decently balanced? Also, run Iron Maiden on Vecna and the survivor will scream when they exit the locker they teleport to? Of course, it would suck to have to rely on that one perk, maybe they should lose the item upon use, that way someone else might be able to use it, and they can only do it once?
Bro, the health state loss is only valuable when the killer is close enough. When I was playing as survivor, I would just lure the killer far into the basement then dip out using the lockers, wasting so much time for killers, I would get healed and then repeat the process. If the locker you get teleported to, is far from the killer and you have perks like inner strength, self care and strong items like medkits, you can just use it infinitely and escape almost every chase. It should either be used only once or, you should be able to get mori'd without hook stages.
@@Shivansh-bl2vw I think it'd be alright as is if it just allows the killer to get an immediate mori on down. You get the pro of easy chase escapes but the con of if you fuck up, you die
@@justsomedeermonsterwithint1852 The mori "retrieve artifiact" only activates on after the 2nd hook stage, you still will have to hook the survivors with artifacts twice, that makes it broken. If it was immediate mori after down without hook stages, then it's fine and need no changes at all, but you have to hook them twice before you'd be able to mori them.
The only plausible thing I can think of is to camp and tunnel the players who have the hand or eye of vecna, they can't use them after the unhook anyways as they need to be healed for that.
@@Shivansh-bl2vw if a killer sees a healthy survivor with the hand running to basement, they shouldn't follow. That's their own fault for wasting time. I agree inner strength would make it that much better for survivors, but I like the mechanic of the hand, I don't think it's as much of an issue as you made it out to be tho.
@@michaelnichols9557 Yes, they shouldn't follow them. But, it's just like the even better version of old dead hard. If you're in a bad position due to your own mistake, just press a button to escape it with no consequences at all. Dead hard saved me from so many bad positions where killer definitely had an upper lead. The only thing was, dead hard had counterplay, this item doesn't. There's no way, a survivor will wait for you to hit them before jumping into a locker. Counterplay to every perk both sides is needed. For example, Old eruption, it was very very hard for survivors to predict when someone is going down, that's why it got nerfed. Not because it didn't had counterplay, but because it was really really hard to do that counterplay. They should either nerf down hands and eye of vecna, or they should make it so survivors with those items can be immediately mori'd after getting down.
Good killer mains generally try to lure survivors into dead zone, with hands or eye of vecna, survivors can just escape it easily, and they wouldn't wait for the killer to get close enough tho. They'd just notice they're in a dead zone, hop in a locker and boom, now the killer is the only one in the dead zone. The only killer which got nerfed which didn't had any counterplay was the spirit, other than her, every item and killer had some counterplays, they got nerfed because it was really really hard for the other side to do that counterplay.

Unless you hit them before they reach a locker or find them before they heal. And self care is a very bad healing perk with how slow it is lol, I’d recommend inner healing or something

I can see myself getting annoyed by this item.
While I like this chapter it's kinda frustrating to see how they keep slapping build in counter mechanics into mediocore killer kits while killers that are way stronger don't have any specific gimmick for survivors to outplay them. Design wise it's a pretty cool thing but balance wise it's just weird that all of this exists in the same game that hosts the likes of Nurse, Spirit and Blight.
@@saveloy4295 this is not a discussion about who can be countered and who can't. It's about which killers have build in counter mechanics/objectives/items for survivors and which killers do not. Nurse still isn't balanced tho but I didn't comment to debate that topic.

I think you're just complaining a lot and if you don't won't them to have it bring add ons to counter it and punish surrivos from opening chest and you can force 2 of them to give them a 1 and then there's the chance they roll a 1 and get eaten by the chest and then they lose a health state for literally no reason at all or bring frank @@skmkr5222

Edit: Please be chill, im not being toxic about it. Sometimes everyone of us need someone who teabags to our life like this to remind us we are living a life. For me when i play Unnerving Presence Merciless Storm Doctor, i want someone teabags me so i will be reminded to hook them properly, not just standing around and watch them do the gens.
