Even if you stay with answering them in Bulgarian, they will stay with English... A hardheaded group here ;)

      Is it enough to live with 1000$ monthly retirement sir in Bulgaria?

    • @pog519
      @pog519 11 місяців тому +1

      @@souiritv8355 In a village like this - for sure. People do survive on the Bulgarian $200 per month (barely survive), so $1000 would be pretty comfy life. I assume you would buy a house (which in similar village would cost you like $10k or something and will need another $10k to make it clean and comfortable. In most smaller towns (under 50k population) you can even rent and still be enough, because outside of the big cities 2 bedroom apartment would be around $200/month. About 3-4 times more expensive in big cities and coastal places.
      The minimal wage at the moment is like $440, and the average is $1000, so that would make you live like the average Bulgarian :D

      If you don't have to maintain a vehicle or GF $200 is enough for everyday expenses country side, assuming you are healthy and own the house. Finding a cheap property in good enough condition can be tricky because the prices have risen the last years.

      @@Radio280 depends... young ones going to parties twice a week... like 6000-7000 bg leva. Just for food and utilities and 1-2 dinners out a week, 3000-4000. A very "saving" couple can live of 2000 leva, but that'll be a struggle. Anything under 2000 leva for 2 people is unlivable, although there are people who live like that even with children...

      @@tototata2134 you should first check the National Institute of Statistics information per area and per economic activity and domain you're interested in.
      Frankly, as much as I adore Bulgarians, many are absolutely obsessed with complaining and exaggerating [mind you, many without any reference] the real situation in the county.
      The fact is that it's still very cheap compared to Western Europe in most anything you could think of. The reality is also that there is an ABYSS of difference between Sofia, the rest of the big cities, and an even bigger one between bigger cities and smaller cities and villages. The difference is so stark that the only really coherent information you can get is from other expats who live in the same area you will move to.
      That's it. Unfortunately, there's no other, easier way.

    It is the best place to retire! But not for Bulgarians in general........ I just spoke with my friend who is in Ireland with his brother for 8 months already (they're working). He told me about a Bulgarian family where they stayed for a few days (job related). But that family is residing in Ireland, the man is self employed and his behaviour and mentality are the same. Like he is still here.....Always complaining, trying to give everyone advice, like he knows everything better, etc. Yes, there are people like him everywhere, but in Bulgaria they are majority...... Nevertheless, he told me that he is happy for the first time in years... Just beeing there, working hard (although he feel like is on holiday) and enjoying the quiet life and people who are people, not animals....... So this is a root cause to all the problems here. This is why everyone want to retire and come here, and Bulgarians wanted to escape screaming..... I don't know if you are familiar with the term "working poor class". It's invented for us...... I hope everyone that want to retire and come here to see more good things than me.

      Напротив. България я има, защото има българи. Тя си е наша, каквото кажем това ще ѝ се случи. Ако ти лично не си успяваш да намериш баланса в страна с 4 сезона, море и планина (това го има много рядко), в която може да се яде истинска храна, то проблемът не е точно в един от многото, които имаме за решаване. Не пропускай факта, че този шотландец е изкупил селото и сега гонпреподава. Това е позорно, като цяло, и такива събития идват да покажат, че щом за шотландски пенсионер може да е добре - то е абсурд за млади хора да не може. Някой друг е запалил чергата, но ние трябва да я угасим и разтребим, преди всъщност да изгори цялата къща.... Все още има време...

      Home is where your heart is. And if he likes it in Bulgaria, and he's happy there, why is that bothering you.
      Have you ever thought that you are acting like an a**hole, to someone you don't even know.

      Той е 100% шотландец, а видеото е направено с цел реклама и изграждане на контингент, на който после да се продадат излупените от него имоти, което самият човек не крие. Това не го осъждам, но ме боли до сълзи, че за един шотландец "може", а младите българи бягат от най-плодородната земя в България, и изобщо за нас не може.... Има някаква сериозна грешка в нашия телевизор. И скоро ще се наложи да сменим "канала" генерално, на който ни предават, преди да ни е закопал, заради всичката помия с която ни заливат няколкостотин водещи.....

Цялата Европейска цивилизация, от която сме били изключени чрез 5века турско и 50 години комунизъм. За щастие, и ние има, какво да им покажем и да ги впечатлим с традиции и други добри неща.
