The writers probably did that because without the speed force and it being biological, Wally is just slower (so he couldn’t replace Barry). And if there’s no speedforce there’s no way to come back. Most recently Wally didn’t exist because of the new 52, but came back with the speed force in Rebirth. The speed force was also how Barry came back to life. No speed force in YJ.

the one thing i hated so much about wally’s death was it felt so sudden. there was no build to it just a mishap-which i understand could be the point, they’re hero’s and sadly stuff like that happens but it didn’t feel right. along with that it felt unnecessary. like was there a real reason to kill him off?? he’s way likely trapped in the speed force but in this universe they don’t know if it’s existence but then the creator of the show also said dead is dead and bringing him back would be strange but then the did that with connor??? like just bring back the best character for the sake of everyone
