NS 8520 is a AC44C6CF, another type of dash 9 rebuild. However, several issues emerged, leading to the retirement of 8520. This is its story.

Nice research...I was wondering why I hadn't spotted NS using it much if at all. They have some other color schemes in the flamethrower style that I have seen on video of some of their trains.

I saw 8520 when I was like 5 idk it was in olean New York idk why it was up there I am so thankful I got to see 8520.

Nice video. I heard rumors that one of the reasons it failed was be because it was improperly transported and the wheels locked up resulting in flat spots.

Yeah 8520 was being leased to the UP for the longest time, it could be on the CN now though, it was reported two months ago on UP trackage in Nebraska
