I know exactly how you feel Diane, it is like someone disrespects his art and God given voice.-If one mentions it, they are told they are reactors and have to interrupt the performance. Not all of them do it though.
Both Brian and Roger are lead vocalists in their own bands and had been lead vocalists before Queen. Brian sings a few Queen songs but if you really want to hear his voice and feel the emotion with which he sings, do the Brian May studio version of "Too Much Love Will Kill You." It is very evocative.
Hey Philip... Brian can sing!! The best version of "Too Much Love Will Kill You" was written by Brian about his marital relationship and eventual divorce, was sung by Brian, although there is a Freddie version also... also "Sleeping on the Sidewalk", "'39", a song about space traveling (him being an astrophysicist), and many other Queen songs were sung by Brian, not to mention his solo career, another huge catalogue of brilliant hits... Also, I love this version of Brian sitting in the orchestra pit with his guitar, plays three notes then has to turn the page of music, that always cracks me up... blessings.
@@stefanhueckelheim Also "Nothin' But Blue" he wrote the day Freddie died, "Another World", "Good Company", "All Dead, All Dead", etc., etc. I could go on and on... my point, Brian is a beautiful accomplished singer AND guitarist!! And a wonderful human being... blessings.
Great reaction. Please watch the video for Queen I want it all. That song is amazing. Also the tribute song Noone but you, only the good die young. Brian and Roger both sound beautiful in it
Brian has got a nice smooth voice, he sang the lead in some songs really good (e.g. in the Good Company), but Freddie played in another league, there is no point in comparing them. This orchestrated version and the video was put together so magically.
Thanks for your reaction! Yes, you CAN still hear Brian sing! He's got several Queen album songs where he is THE lead singer. "Some Day One Day", "She Makes Me", "39", "Sleeping On the Sidewalk" and others. For his own video, I'd recommend Brian's solo version of his song "Too Much Love Will Kill You" (not the Queen version as that's Freddie)
This is from the soundtrack of Highlander movie - - . I think there must be a remastered version - - . It is a very sad story - - that's maybe Brian sounds so quite - being immortal - not aging at all - and having to bury his love - who ages and dies. I think that is what Brian conveys - . I can also recommend 'No one but you' and Too much love will kill you' that has a version with Freddie and one with Brian who wrote the song which was very personal to him - - he suffers - and you can hear it and see it in the video.
SONGS TO HEAR BRIAN SING: “39” studio version (Brian sang the studio version; Freddie sang when they performed it live in the 70s… There’s a nice official MV that “replicates” them performing it live, but with Brian singing lead.) “ALL DEAD, ALL DEAD” (About Brian’s cat! There’s an awesome animated MV depicting kitty’s journey to Heaven.) “GOOD COMPANY” (An old-style song - sounds like it’s from the early 1900s. There’s a GREAT old-fashioned B&W MV.) “LET ME LIVE” (One of their later songs, in a Gospel style… ONE OF MY FAVS. BRIAN, ROGER & FREDDIE EACH sing a verse!!) “TOO MUCH LOVE WILL KILL YOU” (This is MY FAV of the songs I’ve heard Brian sing… There’s a version w Freddie singing also; in this case, BRIAN’S IS THE BEST/MOST EMOTIONAL.)
Brian has a mellow voice but can belt out a song when needed 😂 Roger the drummer has a powerful voice in the seventies he had a high falsetto which you can see in the Rainbow concert 1974 In The Lap Of The Gods the original they also sing In The Lap Of The Gods Revisited ( same title two completely different songs) at the end of the concert that is until We Are The Champions & We Will Rock You came along 😊 Roger & Brian both sang their own songs in the seventies but by the eighties they decided to leave it to Freddie 😊 a few of Roger’s songs Fight From The Inside, Loser In The End, Drowse, I’m In love With My Car which is a medley from Montreal with Killer Queen, Modern Times Rock & Roll studio version Freddie sang it live, Rock It (Prime Jive) x I see other people have give you some Brian songs enjoy your Queen journey x Brian made his guitar with his Dad when he was seventeen it’s made up of bits from round their house also part of a 100 year old fireplace The Red Special x
Hey Philip, No question that Freddie was the best front man ever with a voice that is unmatched, in my opinion and gets the majority of praise, but Brian and Roger are also very good singers. Roger was the lead singer of a band called The Cross from 1987 - 1993. They have also done solo projects. When the drummer and lead guitarist sing better than some singers today who use auto tune, you know you have one hell of a band… QUEEN!! Here is Roger singing (while playing the drums masterfully) live in Montreal. I can’t imagine how hard that is. There is a moment when Freddie is on the piano and looks back at Roger, I love that. It’s like he wanted to show his support while Roger got his moment. Brian and Roger sing No One But You, and Roger sings Old Friends. Both tributes to Freddie.
Brian is great in any other band could be a lead singer but Freddie is just so amazing
I almost cry when people talk over Freddie singing 😥
Freddie was exceptionally..

Brian and Roger sing very well. I love them.

Such a beautiful song, this is from the film 'Highlander' as was the album with this on, 'Its a kind of Magic'
Queen is still touring with Adam Lambert as thier front man now please react to Queen and Adam Lambert version of this song absolutely amazing
Love the input…. I think you might really like an early Queen song that showcases all of the guys called Liar at the Rainbow.

React to Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe singing Barcelona, live at La Nit. Amazing

Listen to Brian's "Another World" re-release Deluxe Edition, it will change your mind.☮
I love Another World. Gonna have it played at my funeral.
Watch Highlander
Brian barely plays keys
Freddie barely played guitar
