Oh my goodness. I have a PM2 that I’ve been trying to fix the centering on for a while. I tried this method and had it fixed in 30 seconds. Thank you!!!
I have spent days trying every possible configuration on centering my para 3 and have unknowingly skipped over this video multiple times looking for a more "in depth" video and was to the point of putting the knife away for a while and this video came on and I tried it and it fixed just like that. Thank you for this. You have saved me from having an aneurysm. Haha.
Dude are you freaking kidding me?? This helped so much! Beyond just having a satisfying centering of the blade; before the blades on a couple of my Benchmades would drop shut, but only to a certain point and would slow down. Now the knives I tried this on are now swinging and drop shutting without any lag. Hands-down the best knife tip video I’ve seen.
SAME! Sad my stock bugout mini came perfectly balanced but my carbon fiber s90v bugout was off center, not very sharp, and would not drop shut even after a couple hundred closings.
Thank you, Taylor. I just received a new Benchmade Bailout 537-2301, special edition with the orange aluminum scales. Perfect action, but totally off-center towards the clip side. I tried several methods recommended by a number of knife reviewers. None worked even in the slightest. Your method solved my problem.
Man I've tried everything. Just got a cold steel frenzy 3 and the centering was perfect but it had slight blade play. Tried to fix it and the centering got so bad the blade was rubbing the scale of the knife. This is the only thing that fixed it and it is perfectly centered and no blade play. Thank you so much man. Not all heros wear capes.
Bro, I've been trying to fix the centering on my p3 lightweight since I got it .. this actually worked! Thanks a ton! This is worth the patreon pledges alone 🤙
I've had a couple para3lw and they all seem to favor the left a tad due to only one washer and the compression lock pushing against the blade. No matter what I do I can't get it to be centered. I will have to try this technique specifically
I just received my Benchmade 940 today. Took it out and it was all the way to the left up against the scale. Being pissed off, went to eKnives and filled out a return request. Just happened to find your video, tried it out and it worked PERFECTLY! Thank you so much!
Bro! You the man. I spent hours messing with my bailout. Took it apart three times, using the wedge technique with no improvement. I was abput to give up when I saw your video here, and wow, something so simple was given me gray hair. Thank you! Very much appreciated. I thought I had a warped blade on my M4. But it was obviously human error.
Wow. I been doing everything that all the other guys had posted to fixt the centering and no go!!! I thought I had to just settle for a 300 dollar BM knife with a off center blade. You showed me the best way possible and it worked! Not only was it perfect results first try, but it was the most easy thing out there!! I can even do it at work on the fly. Thank you. I just found out about you and I subscribed to your channel as well as all notifications. Thanks so much. I will share you with my Knife friends!
WOW. Joining the choir, here. This trick really worked - I tried a different method to center the blade on one of my knives and...no luck. TBH I was kinda skeptical of your method, but after trying it *once* on my knife, the blade is now perfectly centered. Thankyouthankyouthankyou. :) I'm so happy right now.
Great tip. Worked the first time I tried it on an off-centered Rat 2, and this worked within less than a minute! I've wasted hours in the past using alternate methods, and this was by far the quickest and easiest remedy I have encountered. Thank you for the excellent advice.
This is literally the first thing that actually worked for me. I put new handle scales on my button lock elementum and could not for the life of me get the blade to center after. 🔥🔥
This is absolutely the best solution for centering! I got my super freek recently and it was way off from center, there are three body screws, but I just follow your instructions to loosen one by one and tighten back in opposite order, Voila- it's magically centered! Gosh I was gonna return the knife back, now I may enjoy it, nice work dude!
Wow wow wow wow I cannot believe this works SO well. Spent good money on the new bugout 535-5 and the only imperfection was the blade was not centered (no rubbing of liners but just aesthetically unpleasing on a $255 knife!). 45 seconds and my blade was PERFECTLY centered. Thank you so much!
i have this on my regular mini bugout after i've put some flytanium scales on it, did you only loosen the screws on the body side where the blade was closer? and if so; did you only loosen the screw that held the partial liner, or did you losen the stop pin and the spacer screws too? cheers and merry christmas
I just received two new Kizer's today and was very disappointed that the blades were almost touching the liners inside, the blade centering was so bad. I did this trick on both knives and they are now perfect. Thank you very much.
It works! Got a brand new mini Bugout which was slightly off - was considering returning it but I used this method and within 30 seconds it is perfectly centered!
Hi Taylor I’ve had a new FF Prolix for a week now and the cantering and tightness has been driving me insane. Was just about to send it back after trying a couple other techniques and just did what you said and BOOM! it’s now perfect and centred and free. Thanks so much, I’m very grateful! 🤩
I know this video is a year old but I almost sent my bench made in because I couldn’t figure out what to do. I did exactly what you said and it worked perfectly 🙏🙏 Keep them videos coming
I cannot believe this actually worked! I bought a brand new Benchmade Bugout and the blade centering was off (just enough to drive me crazy). I watched this video and in 30 seconds it was perfectly centered. Awesome video! Sharing and Subscribing!
I just installed some Flytanium scales on my 940-2 Osborne and couldn’t seem to get the blade centering right no matter what I tried until I saw your video! This worked perfectly for me!!! THANK for The BEST DAMN centering tip!
Thanks so much. I haven't been willing to even look at my Selkirk folder for over a year, I was so disgusted. But this technique worked perfectly for me. Now I want to get my whole collection out and tweak them all. Kudos!
Brilliant. I just put flytanium micarta scales on my Bugout and it was terribly off centered and hard to open. Took 30 seconds to do this and it is now good as new. Thanks
Thank you! My Bailout centering has been off since I bought it a couple of years ago. I tried other methods of correcting it with no success. This worked with minimal effort on the first try. Thanks again.
I was astonished at how well this worked, my blade isn’t perfect but it’s far closer now. I’ll be doing this with all my BM from now on *Benchmade Bugout Stock, no mods*
I just got the BM 940 Blade HQ exclusive. I love the way it looks but the centering was bad! It was touching the scale on the clip side. I just fixed it thanks to this video! Perfectly centered now. Thanks Taylor
Just did this on my bugout and mini Adamas and it worked perfect, thanks! I did push it the wrong way first and made it worse, but did it again the other direction and centered them perfect.
Bang!! Just got the crucarta and was tuning it and seen it was flying right a hair or so just did that trick perfect. 12 years collecting knives and taking them apart and never had that issue just would break them lube and put back together. But that was awesome. Great video thanks for help. 👍
Killer video. Just did the AWT Agent liner delete scale swap on my manix2 and the blade was off just enough that my ocd was making me twitch. This centered it perfectly. If your ever in Maine I'll buy ya a beer! Thanks!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Iv got a bench made bailout m4 and i was close to sending it in for service do to the blade centering being so off. you have saved me weeks without my knife!
This video fixe my Benchmade Bailout that has been almost scale rubbing since I last cleaned it like 4 months ago. Thanks for the adivce, and keep up the awesome work on the channel!
If the knife has phosphorus bronze washers, check for burrs on them. Sometimes swapping the washers with each other can also help. But without a surface plate and dial indicator (preferably digital) to check for things like equal washer thickness, blade warp etc, there isn't much more that you can do except playing with the pivot screw. Some people have luck with completely replacing their washers - if matching washers are available, that is.
Was skeptical but my Bugout has been off-centered about 10% toward the clip side since I changed the scales a few weeks back. I did this and ended up with it being off-centered towards the other direction by about 20%. Found out I was probably pressing on the blade too much so did the opposite and fixed it to where it is now centered. So maybe depending on how off centered it is will govern how hard you have to push the blade. Great vid.
Well I'll be!!! I almost returned a crucarta I had gotten fairly cheap because it was used (slightly abused) I was pissed the very tip of the blade was snapped off and the blade was dull as a butter knife then the fact the screws all had evidence of disassembly and the blade was not centered!!! Well, I had been trying to adjust the pivot and damn near stripped them out with no luck then I just tried this little trick and BAMMM she's dead center so now I can keep it and take her to the stones to put an edge and tip back on it Thanks 😊
I have a S.O.G terminus xr crimson red. Its slightly off center. And I've tried the other method and didn't work. Work on other knives. But your way worked great. Ima try on a few other knives.
I have a DLC PM 2, and this did fix the blade centering. However it appears the PM 2 is slightly off center for a reason, it is due to the compression lock pushing the blade in the closed position. By using this method it has stiffen the opening and closing, but that's a problem as I can't close and open it smoothly. I prefer a slightly off centre to open and close easier and faster.
I have a Zero Tolerance 0350 I bought a few days ago, and tried this trick and can't get it to work. Any ideas? The issue seems to be that the blade is off-center away from the pocket clip, and the screws on the non-pocket clip side are the only side you can unscrew them from. So unscrewing the screws on the opposite side from the direction you press the blade isn't possible. Edit: I am dumb. Turns out the pivot screw was loose as hell from factory and needed some tightening. Haven't gotten it perfectly centered, but it's close.
Oh my goodness. I have a PM2 that I’ve been trying to fix the centering on for a while. I tried this method and had it fixed in 30 seconds. Thank you!!!

This literally is one of the most useful videos on UA-cam

I meant to stress this video helped me perfectly center my carbon fiber bugout and now it drop shuts nice n' smooth.
Thank you, Taylor. I just received a new Benchmade Bailout 537-2301, special edition with the orange aluminum scales. Perfect action, but totally off-center towards the clip side. One year later, I am here to thank you again. Worked great, today with a Spyderco Native 5 LW.❤
Dude, this is wizardry. You explained this better than anyone else I’ve found. My PM2 is perfect now.
Bro, I've been trying to fix the centering on my p3 lightweight since I got it .. this actually worked! Thanks a ton!
This is worth the patreon pledges alone 🤙

Thank you so much!
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I just centered 2 of my favorite knives. My appreciation of these knives just increased.
A gentleman and a scholar? For fixing blade centering? 😂 Wow. I love a nicely centered blade, but dude, wtf?
Bro! You the man. I spent hours messing with my bailout. Took it apart three times, using the wedge technique with no improvement. I was abput to give up when I saw your video here, and wow, something so simple was given me gray hair. Thank you! Very much appreciated. I thought I had a warped blade on my M4. Awesome! My Shaman has been off-center since I got it. I paused your video and tried it. Literally 1 minute of work. Perfectly centered. Thank you!

Same thing here with my super Freek. It was just a little bit off but it bothered me. Within a minute dead center 🎉

Was having trouble getting my xm-18 centered. I tried some of the other tricks with no lucks. This one is the one that worked! Thank you very much!

just tried this on my benchmade 945 that I've attempted to fix centering on multiple times, worked like a charm!
I was not sure this was going to work, but 20 seconds later, I was literally saying "holy shit" out loud.
My FT955 is awesomely centred now. Cheers.
I cannot believe this actually worked! I bought a brand new Benchmade Bugout and the blade centering was off (just enough to drive me crazy). I watched this video and in 30 seconds it was perfectly centered.
Awesome video! Sharing and Subscribing!
It works! My Kershaw Bel Air came slightly off center and adjusting the pivot didn’t work, but this method did the trick! Thank you!
Just tried this again on a second knife, a Kizer Hic-Cup. Totally worked! Perfectly centered!
I just installed some Flytanium scales on my 940-2 Osborne and couldn’t seem to get the blade centering right no matter what I tried until I saw your video! This worked perfectly for me!!! THANK for The BEST DAMN centering tip!

Had a Civivi Riffle that was way off. Tried all of the other tips online and wasn't getting results. This fixed it! Thanks so much
Thanks for the vid. Fixed my PM2 in about 30 seconds and relieved the stress of sending it back for replacement.
Thank you! My Bailout centering has been off since I bought it a couple of years ago. I tried other methods of correcting it with no success. This worked with minimal effort on the first try. Thanks again.
I owe it to you man. I got a benchmade 940 with poor centering and this fixed it right away
I was astonished at how well this worked, my blade isn’t perfect but it’s far closer now. I’ll be doing this with all my BM from now on
*Benchmade Bugout Stock, no mods*
I just got the BM 940 Blade HQ exclusive. I love the way it looks but the centering was bad! It was touching the scale on the clip side. I just fixed it thanks to this video! Perfectly centered now. Thanks Taylor
There’s a reason you have over a quarter million subscribers. After I watched this it’s now +1…thanks! Now going to watch your others.
Just did this on my bugout and mini Adamas and it worked perfect, thanks!
I did push it the wrong way first and made it worse, but did it again the other direction and centered them perfect.

Thanks! Been fighting with a bugout alignment, now fixed.
Best tip for blade centering, worked like a charm. Thanks!
Thank you this trick worked perfectly on my Hogue Deka and only took like 10 seconds.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Iv got a bench made bailout m4 and i was close to sending it in for service do to the blade centering being so off. you have saved me weeks without my knife!
PM2's seem to be notorious for being off center, I mean it doesn't hurt the functionality of still, thanks man, this helped me fix all 3 of my pm2's
Worked for sure. Added some Rockdale Design scales and followed your instructions and bam!
Bar none! The BEST VIDEO ON KNIFE BLADE CENTERING PERIOD!! Thank you!!! 👍👍
Surprised it actually worked! Fixed centering on my brand new 940! Thank you
This worked! Sometimes you need way more force than you would think.
Awesome video! I was just about to take my knife apart to fool with the centering but this method fixed it!
Thank you! It worked much better than the paper wedge method. You earned my subscribe today!
Thank you so much.I was adjusting the pivot screw only.Didnt even think of the other.Thank you
Thank you. I just centered a cheap knife. This helped, I did not think to push the blade in the direction of the wall is was off.
Worked on my Bugout after install of new scales. Thanks Tyler!
I just subscribed. Thanks for making a straight-to-the-point video that actually works. Just centered my new Shaman. So easy!
Thank you so much, just centered my DLT trading PM2 to perfection!!!
This video fixe my Benchmade Bailout that has been almost scale rubbing since I last cleaned it like 4 months ago. Thanks for the adivce, and keep up the awesome work on the channel!
Worked perfectly on my Benchmade 940! Thank you!
I very seldom post comments however I enjoy all of your videos and this one was very useful. Thanks for the great job and uploads.
Never tried this one. Great stuff, love the channel Taylor. I spend way too much money from channels like this.
Thank you for this! I tried this on my RAT 1 and it's pretty much perfect now. 👍
Dude you stopped me from rage returning my cold steel frenzy 😂 you are a real one for that
Not sure how you loosened body screws on a spyderco from one side while holding the blade. All my spyders need 2 drivers to loosen/tighten.
The goat 🙏 just got my first pm2 today, it’s a cruwear micarta, and I absolutely baby it. 🕷 🕸
Thank you sir 🫡
Worked great for me. Way easier than the other stuff I tried that didn’t work.
Worked perfectly first try on my bugout.
Still to this day this is the best fix the man is a genius
100% Worked Benchmade Vector! Thank you!
So, if this does not work ... is it :
a) I have a cheap-ass knife that is not well made?
b) What else can I do?
Thanks!
Just tried it on my Ganzo g7393.. a $25 knife from Amazon that I've been using for a year and a half. Worked for me.
If the knife has phosphorus bronze washers, check for burrs on them. Sometimes swapping the washers with each other can also help. Bro I have been trying to center my bugout ever since I got it and this tip got it perfect! 👍
That worked great for me and my Spyderco Native Chief, thanks a lot!
Omg I tried this and it worked perfectly! Thank you so much!
Helped me with my Demko. Was going to return it but now it’s dead center.
Thanks brother! Just helped me tune up my newly acquired used Hinderer xm-18!
Was skeptical but my Bugout has been off-centered about 10% toward the clip side since I changed the scales a few weeks back. Worked for my new knife. Perfect thank you
So simple and easy over looked😵love it🤙‼
Came here to say this same thing.
Very handy and effective. Worked perfectly
Very informative, thank you. I finally managed to center my Sypderco Tenacious !!!
was the blade closer to the clip before adjustment?
Ha! It worked on my BM bailout !! Much thanks !!!
I just got a Ontario rat 2 and the blade is off center and I was wondering how to get it to center and a day later you post this video, thanks a bunch
Worked on my Civivi. Thanks
Thanks man my manix 2 was off by the slightest and it was driving me nuts
Thanks so much I have a zt 0350 and I’ve used the crap out of it and it is way off center. This is the perfect video I needed
Dude, thanks for advice. You really changed my life!! 👍😁
Kind regards from germany
Rico
I have a S.O.G terminus xr crimson red. Its slightly off center. And I've tried the other method and didn't work. Work on other knives. But your way worked great. Ima try on a few other knives.
Thanks for the awesome videos Taylor. It’s a nice break from all the BS. I recently joined the discord and I’m having a blast so far.
just wondering, will this work on bushing knives?
Dang, this worked like a charm with my QSP Penguin. Thanks!
Worked like a charm on my Shaman, thx pal.. 👊😉
What scales are on both of your pm2s?
Great video! What tool are you using?
I have a DLC PM 2, and this did fix the blade centering. However it appears the PM 2 is slightly off center for a reason, it is due to the compression lock pushing the blade in the closed position.
By using this method it has stiffen the opening and closing, but that's a problem as I can't close and open it smoothly. I prefer a slightly off centre to open and close easier and faster.
I have a Zero Tolerance 0350 I bought a few days ago, and tried this trick and can't get it to work. Any ideas? Edit: I am dumb. Turns out the pivot screw was loose as hell from factory and needed some tightening. Haven't gotten it perfectly centered, but it's close.
nice shave
love your vids
can't wait for the next EDC weekly!
carry on!
This is the best tip I've found!
