It might help people to explain how you might know what defense they're running pre-snap. Might be basic for a lot of people but just pointing out how DBs are lined up and how they move if you implement some motion will tell you a lot about if they're running man or zone. And from there idk what most people do but based on where you think you want to go pre-snap I often start my read based on how the safety to that side of the field moves. Then depending on the routes I'll work my way down from the safety.
Yeah, I have no idea how to actually recognize these defenses, and the speed of the game makes it almost impossible for unskilled players to make proper adjustments on either side of the ball.
@@samanderson1650 Yeah it takes a lot of practice and time consumption. Madden has been out for years so it definitely not new player friendly for those trying to be competitive.
PA Cross is great against man out of KC playbook, Wr in the slot is guaranteed 25+ yards if you put the TE on block, WR1 runs a deep post to drag the safety to the right side meanwhile the slot receiver runs across the opposite direction beating man and robber, if they run zone you can cook them on the deep post and if neither are available a short pass is to your RB
I run a 5 wide. Have been for the last 2 years it’s hard to beat. I haven’t tested it against a ton of people but the few I have played were overwhelmed. Mostly now my things is taking a underdogs all the way. I love my team at 80 overall for my franchise because it justifies the 60’s and 70 point games were dropping on all madden. Lol This year its harder to be perfect on madden 23 i had a non int season with my 85 overall qb. On all madden i can average about 80 tds a season 5 - 6 min quarters. This year is a bit funner cause the defense is smarter sometime. Then sometimes they run a coverage where its a guaranteed 30 to 40 yard pass completion. I put it so many hours i think i know the cpu’s defense by heart sometimes theres a team who will throw a monkey wrench in there with something i never seen before.
Man shading used to be complete garbage/do nothing years back, but it does cheat to the side shaded now. You have to be careful throwing against man with a combination of man shading + defensive user (usually on RB, which can disregard RB if blocking), since individual players can be shaded. Need to mix up the man beater routes and confirm they're not guessing correctly or it can end poorly either to user jumping something predicted/covered or AI covering something that's usually open vs man unexpectedly. Inside the 20, the defense can convert 2 man under safeties into cloud flats, hooks, or double coverage. Not many players do it, but even in previous years with much worse versions of underneath zones, you could get a lot of turnovers from people throwing corner routes into 2 man under only to find out the safeties were in purples. Again, any of the routes listed in the video will work fine against this stuff when opponent guesses wrongly (or doesn't guess), you just have make sure first before throwing it.
I love the content but you should make these videos against a somebody user because a opponent user make these plays way more difficult and most people take the MLB out and use FS
Pleaseeeee tell me how to defend that one meta pass on the right sideline that everyone in legend uses that my safety and corner won't cover by themselves in any formation I try even if I shade outside 😅. It seems my only option is to user the FS but then they throw to the opposite sideline
You have to watch what the safety does when you snap the ball. If they stay up top then it’s cover 2 or 4. If one ends up moving to the deep middle then it’s a cover 3 or if they are playing man it’s a cover 1. I would go into practice and have the cpu run random base aligned defense against you.
I’m so tired of not being able to run anything on defense or offense cuz I don’t understand what to run against what plays like every play I try doesn’t work
* One high safety: Cover one man or Cover 3 zone * Two high safeties and soft corners (8 yards off receiver): Cover 4 zone * Two high safeties and corners are closer (4 yards off receiver): Cover 2 zone * Two high safeties and one corner is pressed (2 yards off receiver) and one is medium range (4 yards off receiver): Cover 2 man * Two high safeties and one corner is medium range (4 yards off receiver) and one is soft (8 yards off receiver): Cover 6 * Motion receiver to help see if it’s man or zone defense

Very nice tutorial. I played QB in JC and I learned that not every pass play will be a chunk. Picking up 5 to 7 yards is quality yardage.
Do you ever stream??? I’d love to watch you play!!
Same
I stream. Watch me

What playbook are you using in this vid
This is an extremely good video, man. Thank you.
I believe TE Mark Andrews on the Ravens also has those extra hot route assignments.
Does every zone work if u use match or is it just certain zones specifically for match coverage
ty Eric you the goat
Love you madden content
will this work on all madden or only all pro since the separation is more on all pro?

How to identify the coverage your opponent plays on you?

You gotta add time stamps to this

You’re the man Eric
Eric I can't read the defense when they base align and I'm in a tight formation. What do I do?

How am I supposed to read what they’re in pre-snap?
At That Point You Just Gotta Know How To Read The Basis Of Coverage Frfr

* Two high safeties and soft corners (8 yards off receiver): Cover 4 zone
* Two high safeties and corners are closer (4 yards off receiver): Cover 2 zone

Y or Triangle, then Down on the right stick.

6:33 "yellow zones over the middle" You mean the green hook zones? Are they yellow in the playbook?
Same shit
Is anyone getting the superstars mode bug, my X factor won’t work in a career game?
Yea I’m getting that bug too 🤦🏾♂️
That’s Best for Madden 24
Which is why I don't Fucc wit madden. Folks don't play football they play the video game. There's a difference
Well it is a video game so that makes sense. A lot more goes into real football than could ever be replicated in a video game.
Rasheed and olave and Thomas cannot beat man consistently normal game functions seem to be team dependent not actually based of a players abilities
First coment for the 4th time
“That’s why you use teams like the 49ers and chiefs 😵💫🙄🤪🤪🤪” dislike. I’ll find another coverage video
