This hacks are particularly useful in emergencies. Think of a scenario where the stores are closed, or too far or you just need a one use tool and you have a workshop full of tools. Case in point, i now know how to make a Caseback Wrench for my watches instead of investing in a tool that i will only use once every three years i can fabricate my crescent wrench. So, for all you hating on this hacks remember that.
I do like the second idea as long as I have two wrenches, that way I could do that with one of them and have another one that wouldn't have any extra holes in it.
cut a notch into a wrench that is probably has a warranty, that will almost certainly break when you put any torque into it, cause you just took half its strength away cutting out that notch. end result-total waste of money. great idea, as opposed to spending a few more bucks to buy the right friggin tool.
