      It's cool if you put a common size on there , this is a very smart idea , I've been a tradesman for 7 years , I would do this absolutely, I don't follow the masses and just take without trying myself

      @@patsjoholm I do , I've been doing HVAC/R for 7 years , have worked 21 hour shift was my longest in -25°weather , I appreciate every trick of the trade someone has to offer , that crescent trick is great I wish I would of known sooner , I have extra crescents and that grinder wheel tool always ends up stolen or lost , every trick someone has that can one day help me I appreciate

      @@patsjoholm bro I got like 20 different wrenches , I've been in the trade for almost 8 years , I got 3 sets of torches , 4 manifolds , screwdrivers for the whole town to have , I'm not worried about 1 wrench I can use for light stuff and to screw and unscrew a grinder wheel 🤣

      Nah , there's tricks to every trade , HVAC/R doesn't require you to use the hand of God to turn a bolt ... This trick can be used for HVAC , I feel like I'm the only tradesman in this comment section everyone else just watches that guy that bashes people for trying different tricks

    Pro tip: you don't need a grinder key to tighten or loosen a grinder blade.
    Source - been doing it for years since my father ( a boiler maker ) showed me.

    Just use the correct size, and for the grinder , if it's wired just ziptie the disc tool to the wire you'll never lose it

It's actually pretty clever, especially if you have old tools later around, That's what makes it funny is that this happens all the time in the trades. Different mechanics and technicians come up with different ideas and they decide to share them and people like you who are not even in the trade decide to bash them

    This hacks are particularly useful in emergencies.
    Think of a scenario where the stores are closed, or too far or you just need a one use tool and you have a workshop full of tools.
    Case in point, i now know how to make a Caseback Wrench for my watches instead of investing in a tool that i will only use once every three years i can fabricate my crescent wrench.
    So, for all you hating on this hacks remember that.

    cut a notch into a wrench that is probably has a warranty, that will almost certainly break when you put any torque into it, cause you just took half its strength away cutting out that notch. end result-total waste of money. great idea, as opposed to spending a few more bucks to buy the right friggin tool.
