Bangtan is infamous for hitting you with a sick beat and having a profound message at the same time. You find yourself bouncing to the beat and then the lyrics just take it to another level. Everything means something.

Just FYI your journey through the songs etc has been one of my favorites to follow. Your authenticity and fun analysis is a blast to watch. Idol is easily the hardest to interpret because so much is Korean history or BTS specific things you wouldn’t know. It’s a blast to watch you. Bonus gold star for you setting boundaries with what you have time to do so healthy!
Persona is a big favorite of mine by RM. It opens ideas that blend into Shadow and Ego videos. Each rapper took a sample from an older BTS song and one concept of Jungs and ran in three totally different directions.
BTS songs are not simple to understand every single meaning.
Suga said, if a song is released, the interpretation is up to the listeners.
You don't need to understand the whole BU or sybolism.

I love your reactions and our interpretations. You always take extra mile to think about possible meanings. It is very interesting to hear immediate thoughts on song without first reading what it is about. It is pure perception of art. Any piece of art will have different meaning to a person who perceives it. Aidience gives it their own meaning through their own experiences, empathy.
As artist myself it is actually thrilling when person gives it's own meaning to our piece, it means it speaks to different experiences.

I also love that you established boundaries (not bending to allll of the demands to watch everything at once) yet emphasize that you’re still enjoying the group so far. It’s actually nicer to see channels with consistency and without people making nonsensical comments or putting on an act. You’re also not using BTS for self-promotion, just vibing and appreciating. Due to different language, culture, societal expectations, even upbringing it is impossible to understand everything BTS says in their music, lyrics, interviews or shows. As long as you are interested enough to go deeper it's enough! Music is supposed to be enjoyable! The sole fact that you put an effort is enough. Their message as musicians is to love yourself. So guys do what you love, enjoy it and love yourselves!

Boy with Luv (feat Halsey) MV (April 12 2019)- This song is an evolution of their song Boy In Luv from 2014 which talked about teenage love but now Boy With Luv talks about a matured love. The Korean title of the song actually translates to "A Poem for Small Things" they want to know things like how was your day, what are your interests, what do you do in your every day, everything about you.
Just my opinion but I also think "Map of the Soul: Persona" album on the surface looks like the persona or image other people think of when they think of BTS because they are "kpop" so they think "pop music" so light poppy sounding but if you dig a little deeper you will find the majority of the songs on that album are dedicated to their fans army. But it's super interesting to me that the album starts with RM's Persona (which is a rap/hip hop type song) and is book ended with the song "Dionysus" (like the Greek God) which is one of their most crazy in a good way sounding songs where they just go wild. The choreo is also crazy and this was a heavily promoted B-side song of theirs, tons of huge performances.
Side Note: Halsey first met BTS at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards backstage she came and introduced herself telling them their videos were the coolest. They met a few different western artists there and Halsey was one of those that seemed very genuine which was probably really refreshing and later in 2019 they performed Boy with Luv together at the BBMA's. 2017-2018 thrust into the western industry it was really a rough experience for them, that first BBMA they had a few red carpet photographers yelling racists stuff at them while taking their pictures and later events some "celebrities" purposely getting pics with them just because they saw they had a lot of fans there but not having any clue who they were and few even photo bombing them. American scheduled interviews especially with radio DJ's where the host never bothered to look up anything about them, asked them dumb questions and never talked about their music, they got burned a lot by the experiences. So high highs but low lows during this time.

My favorite album!! Map of the Soul doesn't have any bad song I can assure you that hahaha. Check about Carl Jung and you will understand some of the concepts that they use like ego,persona, shadow... You will love that.

Al contrario, es genial que notarán lo lleno de pantalla verde que estaba el MV, eso dice mucho de lo metidos que están con BTS, que han notado que no suelen hacerlo, pero es justo lo que ellos querían que se interpretará... ahh! Creen que todo lo que hacemos no es real? Pues te doy un poco de ficción! Me parece que no estuvieron tan ajenos a la interpretación real de lo que significa la canción.

The joy of learning about BTS is that you learn something new with each watch of the video or their performance, its the discovery thats fun, but some people just wants to spoon feed everything and expects you to eat it all at one go which kinda spoils it. You can interprete it however way you want, the more far off it is the more mindblown you'd be when you discover the truth XD

I'm sorry you had to deal with really harsh comments and I apologize if anything I said came off as rude or insensitive. I think we can get over zealous sometimes and overwhelm people without realizing how we come across. I also think since we have some army who English isn't their first language some may come off as being very blunt when it's not their intent. But there isn't an excuse for name calling or being nasty towards you guys, don't let anyone talk like that to you period just delete and block people like that.
You'll notice a lot of writing on the chalkboard in the back with different things written one being a name Carl Jung and then you see "Persona Shadow Ego" written as well. This Map of the Soul series is inspired by a book called "Jung's Map of the Soul" written by Murray Stein which is about the psychological concepts of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. In Jungian psychology "Persona" is a social face you present to the world a kind of mask you put on to show others while concealing your true nature or parts of yourself that might not be accepted by others.

I want to talk about the song "OUTRO:TEAR" by bts, well, the song "OUTRO:TEAR" is the last song on the album love yourself, it is sung by RM, SUGA AND J-HOPE, the rap line of Bts
- Suga revealed that the song was dedicated to the other six members of the group and inspired by the group's near-disbandment in 2018.
