GUILEM'S JOURNEY : 13 - BELVEDERE OF MORLANNE

Perhaps by searching the horizon from the belvedere of Morlanne, we may catch sight of the bird. For in fact Morlanne is the Mount of the Lannes, the Mount of the Landes.
Coming from the North after going through the forest of the Landes, the pilgrims on the road to Santiago de Compostela reach this vast promontory by the Brille slope. From up here, you can look out over the plain of the Landes as far as the horizon.
This is a good place to relax, paint or just stroll, sheltered from the heat of the sun by the welcome shade of the trees in the park.
