66 is my favorite year of the chevelle
My very first car in 1975 was a Chevelle like that only a hard top with a 396 four speed Muncie transmission 3/4 Crane cam with Hooker headers and a Holey 750 double pumper carburetor bought it for $500. Was a great cruiser on Main Street, running from red light to red light against other souped up cars . I wish I had kept it. That’s a nice Chevelle. 50 K ❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys and your families, beautiful car😋
For those not versed in muscle car pricing, Hagerty has the average '66 SS396 convert in #3 condition (pretty much like this car) at $51750 (including 15% premium for 4 speed). Maple Motors' price is not out-of-line at all.
Is this for sure a SS ? Or a clone?
@@BaronVonSchneider I have never seen Nick incorrectly identify a 'specialty' car and I was one of his earliest subscribers. If you go to their web site they always have pictures of VIN tags. This car's VIN begins with 138xxxxxxxxxx. The 38 identifies it as a real deal SS396.
@@nailhed6628 1. check the VIN
2. What in your opinion is wrong with the hood? It has the correct for 66 "wind splitter" (hood ornament that '67s lacked) and correct "power bulges" (louvers differ between 66 and 67. Even if it is a replacement, 58 year old vehicles very often get panels replaced.
3. Check the VIN
4. Check the VIN
@ you’re right, I guess I was mixed up about the hood ornament as compared to the 67. With a ‘66 Skylark GS there is a hood ornament delete compared to the regular Skylark and clones almost always have the hood ornament still intact Perhaps I was expecting it to be a clone as so many of the Maple Motors cars are. Oops !
@@nailhed6628 Yeah they do get a lot of clones but Nick never (at least I have never seen him) misrepresents a car. I've been to their lot and they are very friendly people. If I am ever again in the market for another collector car they'd definitely be a store I look at.
Happy thanksgiving 🦃 to ALL GOD BLESS 🙏 beautifully done 👍
It’s heartbreaking to see beautiful cars with little problems like wipers, horn, heater/blower or gauges not working. Such effort put into the body and engine, never ignore the little things. The horn relay for my Monte Carlo was less than 70$.
Sweet BBC with a 4-speed. It's going to sell quickly
66 Malibu with a 67 rear bumper.
😏🙄👎🏿🤦🏽♂️😅😅😅
Beautiful car, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family
When I was 17 I worked at an Exxon station & my dad signed for me to buy a brand new 66 Chevelle SS 396-325 HP. It was under 3500 dollars.
Happy Thanksgiving to you Nick and your family
My grandmother bought this SS new in 1966, but hers was a green hardtop.
Wow !!! What a car !
The paint job, the look, the sound. Wish I had 46k. ❤
every day is Black Friday at Maple motors
Happy Holidays.Beautiful Chevelle SS mmmm the old days.
I never noticed you turning left over a double yellow line before. In front of the church.
I'm just saying it's probable the only time.
Sorry.
Cheers, keep the faith.
Dean
All the compliners about the price aren't buying any cars. I remember when you could have bought a car like that for $1200. But I was making $115 a week then too. We pay to relive the past.
About 15,000 over priced
IYO 😏🙄🤷🏽♂️😁
This is my favorite year car..But I prefer a hardtop rather than a convertible..I had 69 SS 396 many years ago and missed the wing windows tremendously, and I wasnt a fan of having the ignition switch in the column..I prefer the wing windows like the 66 chevelle, which looks more sporty in my opinion.
The minute you fix the small things on this ride & top the price of this vehicle just went up some cleaning underneath and boom you got a 50 grand or better ride . Check out the other sites and check the price they want way more plus done some repairs themselves and didn't replace everything. Nice ride Nick oh yeah the gears may be to close that'll make that happen too or just change the gears. Nice price Maple motors.
WISH I HAD THE MONEY, BEAUTIFUL 66 CHEVELLE NICK ! 😁👍
ME 3😉👋🏽👍🏾💯💯
Wished I still had mine from back in the day. Now i can just afford the Hot Wheels, Lol.
Nice car. Needs work but that is why you buy them. The satisfaction of fixing them up and being proud of your car.
Does Maple Motors own stock in American Racing wheels??? Seems like these are the only wheels allowed to run in Tennessee?
What a beauty 🤩
Nice ride Nick....
God Bless hope yall had alll had good Thanksgiving thank for keeping these rides arpumd
Well that's COOL AS ALL HECK 0:49
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 Nick.
The price is more than I would want to spend on a decent classic car. However the price does reflect the rarity and present condition of this convertible, obviously without the random aftermarket modifications made by the local mullet haired mechanic back in 1974 in his mom's back yard.
This is the kind of car professional mechanics and top level gear heads want: an all original platform.
Frankly, I'm glad the price complainers ain't buying it. All they'd do is fk it up anyway.
Ouch $$$$$$
Right!
This ride is sick boyo!
Nice driver car for someone .happy Thanksgiving 🦃👍🇺🇸weekend Nick 😊
Bots are heavy hitting in this video
My dream car ,love it
I'd prefer a small block.
WHAT YEAR 454 I STILL LOVE THE CAR STAY SAFE NICK
That's a Little on the pricey side I had a 66 Bel Air with 283 3 speed powerglid and & 66 Impala straight six with three on a tree didn't pay over a thousand for either one but of course that was early 2000s 😎
Have you looked at any valuations? I recommend Hagerty Insurance's guide. Their price is very reasonable.
Love it wish hade it one day I will thet getting harder tp fine
Good car, but no power steering or brakes
too much money for that ride.
You are Right for that much the interior should be better and everything should work
Hagerty has the average '66 SS396 convert in #3 condition (pretty much like this car) at $51750 (including 15% extra for 4 speed) .
How much were you thinking?
@@BaronVonSchneider Im thinking low 30s
@@maddpeanut6313 it’s more like a number 4 with the fiberglass repair and bondo. Good on them if they can get near asking. Still a cool driver though ✌️
Sweet ride
Idle is a little bit high. Listening through earbuds.
That's awesome 🤟
Beautiful ride omg
That is hot 🔥
The rust issues, fiberglass trunk? Pitting in paint, pitting all over chrome etc... im not sure id rate this a 3?! Is it a real BB 396 car? I have an L 88 427 in my garage...my favorite engine....but I would love a C2....
She is a beauty ❤❤❤❤
NICE
If it were a true SS it eve a good deal!
It's VIN 138xxxxxxxxxx (pictured on their web site) identifies it as a true SS.
@@maddpeanut6313 Where are the front disk brakes. All SS are 396 with front disc. Vin shows it was a V8 body.
@@70ss454_elco Disks came in '67, '66 had drums and a single chamber master cylinder. VIN (138676B135712) shows a (1) Chevrolet, (38) SS396 {the SS396 was a separate model }, (67) 2 door convertible, (6) 1966, (B) built in Baltimore. You are probably confused by the fact that in '69 and later years the SS396 was an RPO (regular production option) and cannot be identified as such by the VIN. That's what people are talking about when they say "a genuine 138 car".
@@maddpeanut6313😏🙄
Absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤
That thing is Super Sweet
👍🔥😎🔥👍
With all the things that don't work. Its not worth the money!
To you. It's in line with professional valuations.
You are correct, definitely not worth the price.
Yea, this price is inline with what’s going on out there. If you want something without any defects these days you will be at 80 grand plus. Beautiful car.
24,900, no way worthy of that sticker, that's 20 over what it's truly worth.
WRONG.
😏🙄🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Nice ride Nick
Nice car
I'll take it wrap it up😂 I mean when I get rich❤❤
Take a 2017 Roush Stage 3 convertible in on trade?
NO 😉👋🏽
Wish I never got rid of mine It was Maroon bought it off my mom's friend for 200 dollars in 1980 when I sold it it was for 400 dollars for Christmas money still kicking myself I've seen nicer ones than this one he in selling for less and everything works plus they are upgraded .
Great video!!
For that much money I would rather buy a new car with a warranty, no mechanical problem no scuffs, better on gas and air bags.....
No one cares
Money is relative. Do you really think people are buying these classic cars for for daily commute enjoy your depreciating boring Honda crv that’ll be worth 20k in 4 yrs while this car will actually appreciate.
If you are worried about gas mileage, and airbags you are watching the wrong channel
New cars are for wear and tear beating on. Classics like this are for summer, cruising, special occasions.
Let's see new car"" dime dozen" leave the lot " loses 50%" of it's value. That chevell convertible a very rare car and every year is worth just a little more. So STFU. douchenozzle!! You don't have to comment.
Way to cheap nick fix a few things and thats a 65 to $80.000 car all day long,,,,,looks like someone dumped a ton of money in it probably all new sheetmeatal even the floorpans look good a lot of money spent or the old girl been well taken care of,,,,,and you can tell its a older restoration and done on a rotesory or how ever it's spelled
Beautiful 😍
that's a beauty
Cool.
Very nice 👍🏼
