I literally just got back from Target with this doll. I was hoping I could pull off a permanent rainbow look but had no real plan on how to approach it. This was right on time! Awesome!
Hii, Love her hair🥰 I own this doll n still in her box. She was my favorite one from this series and the only one I have😁 I think I'm keeping mine as is, unless I find her again at a good price then maybe will get creative then😉 I enjoy watching your videos🥰👍
This looks awesome! Question… is the water hot? Cold? Room temp? I haven’t dyed any RH’s yet but have been planning on it. I used to dye Blythe doll hair using Rit many years ago but always had it boiling. Their scalps were removable so it was easy to just put it in a pot on the stove. Seems like RH hair takes Rit dye much easier than Blythe so I’m SO glad I came across this video. Of course I can see that it isn’t boiling, but can you tell me if it’s hot or cold or doesn’t really matter? 💕
So the instructions do recommend using hot water which is what I have done in the past for my previous dye jobs. I used cold water for this doll because she has such nice curls that I didn’t want to lose them with the hot water. The cold water got the job done and it made the process a lot quicker too since I wasn’t heating up water. Hot water is supposed to help make the colors more vivid but I was going for a pastel look so this worked in my favor!
We only really got 1 of the Colour and Create dolls here in the UK, and people sell the other two for like £85!! 😱 I would have really loved this one ❤
ive this one too and ive been coloring her hair rainbow with her markers but damm it takes soo long , lowkey wanna try this with dying her hair like u did but wouldve to buy the dye, eventually i also wanna get the other 2 color create dolls
I've just dyed Olivia's green hair brunette. I just used the dye in very hot water. Never needed the soap or vinegar. What are those other 2 steps supposed to do ?
So according to Rit Dye themselves (aka I just scoured their website for answers lol) the dish soap helps with level dyeing (probably helps it not be patchy is my guess) and the vinegar helps enhance the color. I just eyeball it myself but they do have specific measurements they recommend
I customize mine to look like an emo sece kid. The only thing I'm missing is the arm warmers and the tutus and the bow she's basically the ideal rainbow High character if they were actually scene kids she's the ideal look the backstory was she was a DJ at rainbow highvery well known for having very bright colorful big hair
Absolutely stunning!!! Those eyes 😍 super cute outfit too!
Wow,your doll came out beautiful. I love the whole look ❤❤😊😊
That's so clever mixing the yellow and pink with the blue rather than doing a green and purple section too!

@@Draculijah Good to know. Thank you so much for responding! 💕
Can you store dye batch or do you have to ditch it? 👀 Sorry so many questions! Love your videos! ❤

Have you seen the preview for the new Colour and Create dolls?! 👀
She came out so pretty I would love to this but I don’t have the patience for it and I would be scared to try thinking I may ruin her.
Can you use the rit powder dye, or has to be liquid? 👀

This is what Amaya should have looked like.

@@Draculijah ok, thanks so much for the scouring research...lol ! I could have too, but I like to hear it from a person who's done the process.
