It is the unique Individual Identity that we have assumed for transactional convenience in this world post birth and pre death that is giving us the illusion of cause and effect.
Consciousness is just a Symptom of Cellular Life.
What Life is What this Existence is, we may never know coz we do not have the tools to know the reality of anything.
