hi... in August 23 I did my Camino.. I never had a reservation for bed and I had a nice bed every every night. did it solo I was 82 years old.. best days of my life. travel light is best and one step at a time.. blessings and true they say" The Camino will provid.."
We love your vibe
I’m coming to your retreat next year (from Australia) in May and I love that you are documenting what it’s like this time of year. The idea to not book ahead as an experiment for us is such a good idea. You guys Rock. 😍 Stay warm ❤🧣🌈☃️🔥🌻✨
Wonderful!
So lovely to see you both on the Camino again.
I’m hoping to get to stay at Orisson after the via Podiensis later in the year. It will be 10 years .
I walked my first Camino Portugues Costal early April this year. April 9th to 20th. I had beautiful weather. Not even rained once. Not busy at this time of the year. Greetings from Canada. Already planning my next one. Buen Camino to everyone!❤️
I will walk the portugese in 2 weeks. Did you had any problems to get a bed or did you booked anything in advance?
I had gotten into the routine of booking two days ahead and that worked just fine for one person. That was from August to October. I was lucky that I had no firm end date that I had to be back home by.
Thanks for the feedback
Hi
I’m doing Camino Frances May 2025 thank you for all your advice Buen Camino ❤
You are so welcome 🤗
I heard so many times last year about how you must book especially after Sarria, but I didnt book and I was fine (even after Sarria) so people who are about to start your Camino Frances don't worry and don't book in advance you ll be fine, because remember CAMINO ALWAYS PROVIDES :)
Totally 💯
hello friend, Just come back from the Primitivo and the Muxia. It was fantastaic!
Tell us more!!!!!
@@caminotellers It was my first camino and not the last. started in Irun, walkend way to fast the first 10 days. Did 50 km a day…. In Oviedo changed to the Primitivo. I like extremes… hahaha. Walkend to Lugo and than to Baamonde back to that Northe to prevent getting on the Francois. It was worth it, The monastry in Sobrado was beautiful! Fantastisch albergue. Than walkend to Santiago where I was a bit confussed because of the mass of pelgrims. Immidiatelly walkend on to Negreira and from there on to Fisterre and than Muxia. walked back to Santiago and took the bus to Porto to enjoy that great city like a tourist. I met new people and the real me, it was the best experience in years, perhaps of my life. I equal it to the birth of my daughters. Still feel emotional if I think about my Camino. In 5 weeks I went from thinking to feeling and it made me rich. Did a lot of my preparation after looking at your videos and I will keep on watching them You guys are like friends of the Camino I haven’t met yet but we will, the world is a village. Buen Camino!
Did not Booked anything. The Camino provides. It was on off the best experience of my life!
Biggest mistake was walking 50 km a day the first week so I will do that again, than slowly
Lovely to watch, great vibe from it being today, thank you.
Felicitaciones, espero que sigan disfrutando el camino. Mi hija y yo pensamos hacer el camino sin reservar o reservar lo menos posible. Tenemos dos noches en Donostia. Cuídate Érica
Love that map tracking you guys are doing....
We like the old fashion gear!
After watching the two of you for months, I am finally walking my Camino Portuguese! I am in Albergue Millodoiro tonight and arriving in Santiago tomorrow! (And listening to snoring right now as I type this message 😂). Thanks for all your great ideas and help preparing.
I always booked a day or two ahead because people said it was busy. I saw some pilgrims turned away because there were no beds. While I was walking, I didn’t want to be thinking about where I would sleep that night. And I really didn’t like the idea of walking longer because I was tired at the end of the day.
All the best finding beds at the end of the day!
Wow, it makes us feel happy you are next to Santiago!!! We will do calls after the Camino to listen to all the great experiences 🥰
Buen Camino! 🙏🏻💚👣
Buen Camino!
Buen Camino.🫶🙏
Sounds like your Camino is starting a bit like mine. I had rain the first 6 days of walking. But at least I had beautiful weather walking into Santiago
Please also observe the attitude of the receptionists , waiters and bar attendants and share , plus the cost of things compared to your previous camino
Hi! Mark Donnell from Mt. Airy, NC (usually in zoom meetings as Mark and Linda). We are loving these slices of your adventure on UA-cam. I have a Meseta question for you two: How does one discover alternate routes on the Meseta to get away from as much walking on highways.... without getting lost? Are there apps that show these alternate routes and are they marked with yellow arrows, shells, .... the bones of lost pilgrims? ¡Buen Camino! friends. :o)
The bones 🦴 hahahah! Yep they are, we will be there in 2 weeks and we will be talking more about that and showing if it’s really a walk highways or rather side roads…
Missed the live . I’m in vigo. Cold and wet walk today on the Portuguese coastal this week
Lest then 100km left!!! How is it so far??
Hi, kids! Enjoying your videos, as always. Oye, Ricky, I know it’s early days on the Camino, but how’s walking with your Hoka’s?
Today we will mention this subject Gregory, stay tuned
Thank you for sharing your adventures! We are planning to hike the CF in the fall and are so excited. Erica- I would like to know what you think of your z pack backpack... I am struggling to find a pack that I like and that fits well! I would love to hear your thoughts! Thank you
We will mention the backpack in todays live, stay tuned
Sorry we missed your LIVE. Will try again tomorrow. First two days and 20km done from Leon. Really short days it seems but all good with the knees. It is really cold. I need to get a puffy coat, lol
We miss you guys!!!
In two months I will be on the way..the Norte
Wow, keep us updated
@@caminotellers I will!
Darn, I missed it again. Busy working here in Frankfurt.
Happy days!
We have to come to Frankfurt to walk together! Hugs
@@caminotellers That would be fantastic!
From Western Australia. Starting from SJ on 17 sept....so weather will be very different, wont it?
More rain… goretex and rain trousers;)
Hello, Thank you so much for this! You two are so helpful and inspiring! My friend and I are starting Camino Frances the first week in July. It is the only time we can come due to work. I have not made any reservations but am panicking now. I know it will be busier in July but will we still be able to find accommodations or do I call off our trip?
Mmm, let us figure it out during this trip! We will speak to many hostel owners and give some Info 🙂
@@caminotellers Very appreciated! Working on trying to book at least the first few nights. Just not totally sure what I'm doing. Buen Camino
Can you avoid the first big hill and start in ronsavaillis
It is an option! Many people start in Roncesvalles
We missed your live again. And we had the alert on. I guess it did it worked. Nice job in your pants Ericka 😂
How are you guys???
@@caminotellers doing good. We have started with short days doing some qi gong in the morning, stretches when we stop and taking breaks often and being mindful when I walk , so far so good. The plan is working so far. It’s cold but do not think it’s as cold as you guys.
Adrian says hi on Tuesday night and is in Zubiri
Hope to catch up with you tomorrow! Where are you staying tomorrow and the day after tomorrow?
Was the route into Zubiri very difficult?
I miss the live. I will be on july 8
Tick tock
Where are you guys from?
Erica from Italy and Ricky from Poland ☺️
@@caminotellers you are a lovely, funny couple. I'm enjoying your videos.
