This is what my fellow Americans should be doing and taking back their rights and setting what's wrong with our government. 🦅🗽🇺🇸

Then you should live in a crappy stipend that barely covers rent and food and other mundane necessities. Did I mention that they only get paid 9 months in the year: do you think they stop eating from June to September?

@@clowntingz313 whatever, Karen. These professional students are the ones that hold society together which trickles down to you. I’m assuming you believe in your god Ronald Reagan’s trickle down theory, right?

@Clem Fandango back then when college tuition was not as inundating as now? Did you live with your parents and not worry about rent? Did you come from a middle-high class background? You assume way to much from many of us who had to climb the social ladder to get where we are, especially BIPOC/non traditional students. Of course these grad students aren’t treating their work as careers: they only work 20 hours a week, plus go to graduate seminars, plus do their own research/comp exams/prep for dissertation proposal defenses/etc. I’m not sure if you’re implying you used student loans cuz I don’t know how the hell you managed to afford college with a job on the side. They are demanding better pay and treatment as the UC chancellor’s office not only fails to recognize their contribution but also have done shady things: they haven’t paid them for the month of September which is ILLEGAL. Do some research. It seems you’re very aloof from the average graduate (namely PhD) student experience and place yourself as the quintessential example 🙄
