How can u say the new one is "more reliable" when it just came out and the old one is still going strong after 30+yrs? There's a resson there is still a strong market for the older movements. It's not just the original writing on the back,u even show the better build quality out of the older versions. Personally I'd rather get an old one and clean it up
Great vid! I'm saving myself to get a 6600 to replace/upgrade my all-black 6900BB. I'm still biased between waiting for the Commodore version 6600 and doing a BnB change with 6600BB, or flat-out buying this 6640RE. I don't like the LED backlight, much prefer the EL ones. it's the main reason why I'm hesitant to get the 6640RE currently rocking my Frogman DW8200NK but using the GF8235 BnB, the OG one had resin rot.

they have different functions and an LCD like this is made accordingly for those functions.
