Due to copyright issues, we unfortunately were forced to mute part of the "You Won't See Me" segment. 😕 UA-cam is like that sometimes.
Also, a mistake happened in the image for "If I Needed Someone." Instead of saying "Lennon/McCartney," I forgot to copy and paste to say "Harrison." Sorry for that.
It’s finally here: the Rubber Soul sessions! Hope you all like the new fanfare. Please like and comment to help us with UA-cam's algorithm. Thank you all for the support; the channel would be nowhere without the fans. "Peace and love, peace and love,” as Ringo would say. - Gustavo

My research lead me to believe that these songs where write by ghost writers, no band can create such a great album in one month. This is a lie and a fantasy. The true is coming out!

Would love to see a short series from Ringo's version about before they became famous. It can also include the others but I've seen that many times. It could be in the style of Wonder Years. Vignettes on each of them but mostly Ringo. Could you convince Ron Howard to work on that? I'm very curious about the English Public school system. Ever since I saw the movie Melody in the early 70's

It’s peak early Beatles! I see Revolver as a transitional album that crossed the divide between early and late Beatles.
Rubber Soul is the best of the early Beatles, and has some of their best songs. Great guitar tones as well. Also has a couple stinkers, but flaws create contrast that makes the good songs better

This album was transformative. When it came out, I listened to it for days and days, just taking it in. (14 years later, we played In My Life at our wedding).
1965 was an astounding year for music: electric Bob Dylan (Like A Rolling Stone); rock's great anthem, the Stones' Satisfaction; the Laurel Canyon's Byrds and Mamad and Papas. Motown! OMG, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, The Supreme, Martha and the Vandellas, the Temptations, Four Tops; Otis Redding and Wilson Picket! Beach Boys, Yardbirds... The radio blasted great music all day and night, and the artists kept inspiring each other to greater heights.
Great time to be alive and young. The first concert I ever attended was The Beatles.
This is my favorite Beatles album. Except for those days when Revolver is.
Thanks so much for this terrific documentary. 👑

I was 14 or 15 when this album came out. The radio station I listened to back then was a typical AM pop station that played singles. The DJ on the air at the time said he had the new Beatles album in his hand, and that he was going to play each side straight through because that's how it needed to be heard. Unheard of at the time! He put it on and as I listened I got little shivers down my neck. I knew that music would never be the same again.

The Beatles reached a height of fame no other performers have ever reached.., to a place called "The toppermost of the poppermost". John told them in 1961 that's where they were going, and that where they went. Brian Epstein said, "The Beatles will be bigger than Elvis.", and "The children of the 21st century will be listening to the Beatles." He was right about both. They pushed the boundaries of live concerts, studio recording, and how albums could be a complete piece of art. Over 60 years later their music is still being listened to, analyzed, and revered around the world. We will never see anything like the Beatles again.

    My all time favorite album.
Being ten years old, I was blown away by the lyrics and the more bluesy sound - not that I would know it, but as reconstructed afterthoughts in my teens.
It's hard to pick out ONE Song, but I remember always being in love with a girl, and always having a hard time breaking up, so "I'm looking through you" have always been one of them.
But this album AND Revolver will always be the peek for me - I "matured" in an early age, so to say ...

Later album "Help" doubled, or tripled this impression, if it's possible, and "Still my Guitar Gently Weeps", that I heard on the radio, made it to stratospheric leap of consciousness... and all that, even, without deep understanding the meaning of the poetry, except I knew what words Girl, Help and Guitar were, of course

Back in the day i got tired of hearing the Beatles.
Now it brings back memories i enjoy.
Thanks for this well cover material. 😊

If you isolate Paul McCartney's bass lines on "Nowhere Man" and "You Won't See Me" you can feel the Motown James Jamerson influence on his bass playing

There have been a lot of documentaries on The Beatles, but I believe that a documentary that would cover the time between spring 65 through summer 67 would be fantastic. Although The Beatles would be the main characters it would cover everything from music, entertainment, politics and Vietnam. Why??? Because it was the most seminal time in recent history. Just that period between the Shea stadium concert and the release of Rubber Soul. Sooo much happening in the world. All of these things are reflections and were reflected by The Beatles. An absolutely amazing time.

its amazing to this day jane asher was the only to not write a tell all book. so many of pauls tunes were about her. for no one, is about her...

I heard her make a comment about how she's been happily married for decades and considers it to be insulting when she's asked about Paul. From everything I've heard about her, she's always been very a independent person and her identity isn't defined by the fact that she dated Paul for a few years when she was very young.

Wonderful capture and documentation of everything they did in late 1965.
Beatles has always been one of my most important artists to listen and come back from time to time but i started to “relisten” everything and Rubber Soul has hit me different.
It is the perfect gate between “Tour” and “Studio” Era’s. It’s becoming my favorite of all their catalogue. The dispersity of the instruments they use (From Stratocasters, Sitars, Mellotron).
There’s simply a “autumm” or “late year” feeling to this album. From the intimacy of Girl and Michelle to the feeling of being left by your loving partner ,this album captures that beautifully.
In my opinion, Run For Your Life it’s a mood killer for the melancholic mood this album has. To me, If I Needed Someone it’s a great closure to this album.

This was fantastic! I learned so many things I didn’t know.
One thing I did realize is how much Paul takes credit for many songs John wrote. He also dissed John about 1 in 200 songs John wrote. That was arrogant of him.
    Great video! Well done!
