if you like this stuff you should read the book Scar Tissue by Anthony Kiedis. its an autobiography that talks about all the drug abuse that the entire band experienced.

He said "sampled THE drug". Meaning heroin. He didn't say "sample drugs". Its well known he did cocaine at like 17, and then smoked lots of pot throughout the blood sugar era.
It's strange to be able to relate to someone &/or their angst, not knowing them but sharing a similar connection somehow. Idk, it's difficult to put a finger on it but I think you either get it or you don't. It's not something you wake up & decide to be or do, it just is & once the two become one, you're consumed w/ it &/or by it. Definitely by it, definitely ! Heroin is a Helluva drug, I'm just glad to see that John beat it b/c alotta people never do. Recovery & sobriety are difficult as Hell when you're younger b/c w/ youth comes stupidity & also you ussually lack the wisdom & skill set needed to succeed. Having some people who truly care about you is such a big deal too. Friends, True Friends will make all the difference in the world... I'm just happy for him, I apologize for going on like I did, I'm no preacher, just an ole guy that's been around the block & loves some good music. Much Love for JAF & anyone who's struggling...👣
