  • I've got the LS MT342 tractor and an IBC tote full of water.
    Can we lift it?
Can I figure out how much water is in the tote and what it weighs?
Can I figure out how to lift this thing without dropping it?
    ALL WILL BE REVEALED!

Appreciate you doing stuff that, let’s be honest, most wouldn’t have the cajones to try. 😂

I have an MT122. For the love of God, get weights. A small load of gravel to spread with the 1102 loader or some dirt is fine, anything more than that will bring the ass end up.

I picked up a new ’21 LS-235HE in Feb and I somehow ended up with the larger 3302 Loader (2153 lbs) instead of the 3301 (1688 Lbs) so I don’t know if I can actually use the higher #500 extra capacity but I do know it will lift ALOT if I can roll the forks back. I had a dozen or so Cotton Woods ,etc, cut down last year and couple were over 4’ wide at the base. I did have my kid cut them down to around 4’ to 5’ long rolls this year and I could just pick them up. A couple were a bit longer but if I jostled the loader -slightly- I could roll the forks back then I could get the loader up just enough to get it to it’s destination. But at a creep speed so as not to tweak the loader, just in case.
Even with my #1000 3pt backhoe on the back (no tire juice) I can still lift the rear end when trying to pick up some of the stumps I dug out if I’m not paying attention.
And yes, if you bury the forks in the dirt it’s amazing just how much you CAN’T pickup, I tried picking up a 2’x8’ long log and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t pick it up. lol

The only issue you might have is too much weight on the front axle, but that's a happy accident either way!

Did you hear me yelling not to get out of the seat with the weigh lifted up high? I was afraid the tractor might tip forward once you dismounted. After seeing the tote slip slip off, I imagined a whole chain of additional scenarios if that had happened. If the tractor didn't roll left or right before the tote would slide off, the whole weight of the tractor would have come crashing down once the tote slipped off. I hope never to be involved in such a fiasco.

Congrats! The canopy we're using is made by BareCo. It's been awesome.

I have a question, I bought a XR 3037H brand new in 2014 and luckily I haven’t had any problems at all until a few months ago. It died and I took it to my dealer and they said there wasn’t anything wrong with it so I took it home and ran it for a couple of weeks and the same thing happened but this time a couple of codes came up. I took it in and it’s the computer that’s shot. $2500 just for the computer that I have no choice but to get but do I trade it in for a new model or suck it up. There only going to give me $14,000 for mine it only has 686 hours on it. What do you think?

There's never anything wrong with getting a second opinion before dropping big money on repairs or a new machine...

Looks like you dropped the tote there.

    I wouldn't call that a success

I know you can't please everyone, but I would DEFINITELY call successfully lifting and lowering a load which far exceeds the machine's rated capacity a HUGE success
