Amazing build ❤ What a beautifully crafted piece of art (we can call it art right?). Will definitely look at the plans for this as I’ve been a fan of the Vista for ages but sadly can’t get one in the UK - might now just build one myself. 😂😊
Thank you so much! There is really only one other DIY build I've seen online that really went to a similar level of detail and finish. A guy named John in his CapeBuild Journal on the Teardrops 'N Tiny Travel Trailers site. I thought I was the first DIY to use okoume plywood interior, but then saw he did shortly before me. Actually there were a surprising number of similarities between our builds. I'm sure there are others out there as well. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tour! We have a teardrop that we bought and we are planning to build our own too. Great ideas, love the sunken floor and split seat, those hinges are awesome! Cheers eh!
Thank you for the comment! If you go to 14:40 in the video we cover where you can locate plans. No build videos on this one unfortunately just some photos along the way. Thank you!
Just beautiful! I was very attracted to the Vestibule… I am an accomplished wood worker, etc., and I would love to build this. Any possibility of a plan and material sources? Thank yiu.
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it! At around 14:50 minutes we discussed where to find build plans. Material sourcing will vary based on your location and you have some flexibility in materials. Once you locate the plans you like it should give you some ideas. Thank you for watching!
If you look at the Vistabule it has a spring under the seat that pulls the bed into a seating position, making it easier to put the bed in a seat position. A simple but smart idea.
Yeah, I believe that is necessary because one is lifting the entire thing at once, along with the mattress. The mattress I have there is not as bendable, not because of the weight, but because it's too thick (6"+ thickness).
@@adameckhardt6532 I guess if you don't need to fold up the bed then it's fine to leave it in the bed position. But I really like the split seat set up. Genius
Wow ! Love the design of this, the seating setup is innovative and just what the doctor ordered, perfect functionality instead of just a bed. What type of aluminum trailer did you use. Rhino liner on the outside, perfect. Thank you for sharing.
Sorry, didn't see this question before. I simply used 1.5" x 3" aluminum channel I purchased from Schupan Aluminum & Plastics in Toledo, OH. As mentioned at the end of the video, I learned to weld aluminum for about 6 months prior to beginning that part of the build.
Thank you for the comments, in the video he mentions the average cost ranges from $3-7k and it is entirely up to the builder based on options and supply cost. He mentions he went overboard but that was a decision he made. Hope that helps!
@@adameckhardt6532 Thanks for sharing your build - it is beautiful and inspires me to think about doing something similar. One question - where (or how) did you source the big front (curved) window? thanks. Ray vdZ
Sorry, thought I answered this before. It is simply 1/8" thick acrylic sheet cut to size, and held in the curved shape by a Trim-Lok LK1660 locking gasket.
Weh, what people will build to have abuse stop! Because they need those appointments? Huh! What abunch of scammers! Reasons why prices are so high! With the proper phycology and love these units would be alot more affordable! Does it actualy work? That sure should!!!!!
The craftsmanship on this is downright beautiful. Clearly taking pride in quality work!
Thank you so much!

This would be the best build I’ve seen so far. I like how u used every space on the trailer frame for that leg space.

Oh my heck, I want one of these. Just absolutely fantastic.❤

Wow what a build. Awesome job. Bret would be impressed!!
Spectacular work. Incredible design and attention to detail. Thanks for sharing. Are plans available? Are there build videos?

That's a pretty amazing build. Thanks for the video.

Inspiring, what axle - suspension components did you use?

Can you please share where you got the large window on the front of the camper? Did you buy or make it?
This is answered in one of the comments below
Good job
Wow what a build. Such a replica. Bert would be proud. What is the cost to do thew build? Alot less than a Vistabule.

Yeah, it is a lot less than the Vistabule, but again, I spared no expense in materials. This build took a bit over $12K.

@@adameckhardt6532 thank you, beautiful build!
You could pull that behind a trike or a CanAm! I wouldn’t but it seems you could.
CanAm perhaps, but would be quite a slog with a bicycle! 😆
