    This is why it's important to be a fan of college football as well as the pros. He was very good as a junior playing strictly LT. He is practically a physical clone of Trent Williams coming out of college. He is an eighth of an inch shorter than Williams with a longer wingspan and the only athletic measurable he was worse was the 40-yard dash. I'm not saying he will be as good as Williams but he has all the tools to be a solid tackle with a Mark May kind of career.

      Mark May is a good comp. Will definitely take a Mark May type of career. Rooting for him.

    His coach at TCU said he's really good at all OL positions. Has long arms!! Haven't seen a lot of him but what I have is good n his footwork is fast!

    Chris Cooley did a film breakdown on him. TCU runs the air raid so he’s exceptional in pass protection, but subpar in the run game. BUT Bobby Johnson is a run game guru so Adam Peters may be onto something.
    And I don’t wanna hear any Bobby Johnson slander. Dude got 4 guys off the couch ready to play and beat us TWICE…

    I’m not expecting a 3rd round rookie to come in and be a good LT week one. As a fan, of course I would love it but just thinking about what’s most likely.

    He’s super athletic but it takes more to be a good tackle in the NFL. One thing about Trent Williams, that nobody talks about, is how smart he was understanding defenses and making the correct block on each play. There is a reason Coleman wasn’t a top pick coming out. Hopefully he can develop

      @showtimetrey6458 Місяць тому

      Because he was battling a lot of injuries slightly smaller frame than most and people questioned his ability to play LT when primarily he was at Guard… he’s extremely smart. But a lot of people don’t like when people have excellent junior years then fall back during the senior year at. Which is crazy cuz he was injured multiple times and he still was 2nd team all big 10 🤷🏼‍♂️ people are real weird when they haven’t heard of you for over a year. People think Russell Wilson sucks but in all actuality he’s still probably a top 15-20 QB.

      Yep, and there's reasons why Brady fell, and Mahones fell (2nd qb picked TOO!)...
      Reasons, reasons, reasons...

    With Alligretti and Coleman, i think even if we have 2 guards, that puts us in a VERY good spot as far as Oline because even the cheifs made it work with only a solid interior OL

    Why not Right Tackle? Warm him up to playing on the outside in the NFL or have your right side be his home and lock down that side for a few years and draft a LT/Free agent

    I think and hope he can play Tackle in the nfl as well. In college he was a much better tackle than he was a guard. So the problem is, if he does fail at tackle why do we think he would be better at guard in the nfl, which was not the case in college?

    • @showtimetrey6458
      @showtimetrey6458 Місяць тому

      Cuz it’s easier to translate to the inside than it is to guard the outside in the NFL and he has all of the physical capabilities. As long as he can ID blitz pickups, and even pass pro better (which guards normally get a lot of help compared to tackles) he should be able to pass at least as a above average starter. Maybe not elevate but a starter.

      @@showtimetrey6458 I can concede the argument guards get more help. They do. But aside from that I don't know. He played both guard and tackle in college. He excelled at tackle and was mediocre at guard. The only difference in the NFL is that he will be going up against freakish athletes on the interior that he never saw the likes of in college. So struggled against middling interior players in college but will succeed doing the same thing against much better players in the nfl? I like his chances at tackle. I hope he thrives there. If not, I'm sure he will make a great backup tackle.... By using your logic every decent backup tackle in the NFL could be a starter at guard. Some guys are just naturally better at tackle. They are more comfortable there. There is truth to your argument that some guys had to transition to guard to make it in the NFL but i bet you any name you could state who did such, you would have a hard time finding tape of them struggling at guard in college(unless of course it was very early in their college career and they struggled everywhere). Just politely talking football with u. Cheers

    Pedro, I, too, have thought about telling you that you say “I think” a lot. The issue is it makes you sound unprepared. If you say “I think the Commanders will win 12 games”, that’s an opinion and ok. But if you say “I think Jayden Daniels had 4 interceptions last year”, it comes across as lazy to the audience. Not being hateful, I watch all your videos.
