Hey Viv, I am so pleased that you watched and enjoyed this one. I was quite unwell on this day and didn't really fancy it, BUT these kinds of conditions are once in a decade conditions, so I just had to get out there and capture some wintry arctic stuff. Some people do not like the cold, but with the cold comes glorious frozen conditions like this and crystal clear air. The UK climate is perfect. See you soon. Gareth

But I found a couple of coins and warmed up a bit, so out came the camera. It was amazing been out there. Hope you and Viv are well. I'm about to head up to the big green hillside for a mornings work

Hi Gareth, I was out that very day with a friend on his birthday, and we went to his permission at Stockport. We had the same type of snow, maybe a little deeper, but it didn't stick to the coil. It was one last chance on one of his old performances, so we stuck it out. we thought nothing was going to be found, but we had a few coins, and 4 silvers popped up between us, including a half crown. Strange conditions and silvers popping up everywhere ❤ awesome video as always 👍

Hi Gareth finally worked my way through your video's and looking forward to your next, my new hobby is thanks to you and your brilliant video's, I'm guessing I'm pretty much the same age as you so it's great to know it's not just old men who do this as my Mrs keeps saying! I'm pretty local to you aswell i think, I'm in Macclesfield. Just wanted to ask how much you recommend the deus 2? I've started with a nokta triple score a few months ago and it's serving me really well, 6 hammereds few other silvers and plenty of nice stuff but I'm feeling ready for an upgrade and looking at the deus 2, any advice or comments would be much appreciated and do you find it finds more stuff than other lower budget machines? I had one of my better finds when our club was detecting in snow about 4 inches deep I had a cracking signal and managed to unearth 5 Edward Vll Halfcrowns,my best hoard.
Dave I don't normally respond to comments so soon, as you know I like to reply in order. But I saw this one and couldn't help become green with envy, 5 big Edward VII silvers, that is absolutely incredible!! Never heard of such a find, very rare mate, what a feeling that must of been. High on my bucket list is an Edward VII Florin with its unusual standing Britannia design. Thanks for watching, and congratulations

It is really good detecting in snow which is less than 2 inches deep. Gridding is really easy because you can see exactly where you have already been!
