Thing about claiming Dep, if you misfire, it makes you look very sus, so you want to tag an evil, or at least someone who's outted evil. Claiming to misfire on D2 with a random shot could convince Town that you might be an evil trying to soft confirm another evil.
Truly, what happened during that d2 was too brutal to explain in words. Total massacre. This game started with FEWER townies than evils, but that day 2 made it one-sided in the other direction.
Ok look new dep is great, but i am sad that we now lost the incrrdibly awkward moment where a dep shoots a transformed apoc and the animation goes off before just immediately awkwardly cutting back to the town with no one dead. ...they were rare moments, but I'll still miss them.
Managed to roll dep twice since the patch, haven’t missed once >:)) but it’s also so satisfying now to see the animation play once you click the button
I don't like how there's no indication that Deputy busted through a gate, whipped out a pistol in broad daylight and shot at a person in the middle of a busy town square yet no one was aware of it just because he missed
It's for game balance, but yeah. My problem however, is that it's always John behind the gates and not the silhouette itself and it's super jarring now that deputy is non-revealing.
Bc of that i believed 13 was hex or something... 10 even asking marshal to trib them both bc of 1f1 was a big brain play... He almost pulled the cc, all he had to say was about who the "trickster" saved... Then prolly 13 could had been hanged (pushed as poisoner doing smog) if UOs were seen (prolly crus saw those)

Because coven players tend to approach the game different than when they are town. The "understandable sk" is a very typical approach to try to dissuade the sk from attacking them by pretending to be friendly or at least not gung-ho after the sk's life.

I feel like a better update for deputy would be they get a bullet back after 3 player deaths, so they can actually still be active after taking a shot. Figured a more chaotic town would have a more active deputy, a town strong game wouldnt need deputy as active as often. Itd be tied to the pace of the game.
I had a great game; I'm Crus. I protect 7 N1 who gets pushed by an exe D2. The rude Exe get's hung confirming 7 & 7, a BG, asks to chain so I do. N2 me & 7 chain. also an admirer, #12, proposed to me so I accept. N3 I'm on 7, 7 is on 12 & 12 cures me, I get attacked. N4 I'm on 7 who is on 12, 12 saves there last cure. 12 gets attacked & BG kills Bers & I prevent BG from dying. Game ends D5 with an arso who never ignited getting hung. BG/Crus/Admirer Combo for the win. I was truly walking a narrow path night 2. If I went on 7 and 12 died depending on their will I might have gotten hung for not protecting my lover but if I went on 12 and 7 died I might have gotten hung for not protecting 7 depending on their will.
This dep is so much better. Confirmation is so important in any social deduction game, and ToS2 made it all too easy. Same with the "unknown obstruction" and "saved by cleric" stuff. Leaving ambiguity for evil to exploit makes the game a lot healthier. The devs have been cooking.
Day 98 of telling lies: For anyone who’s curious, the reason it was possible to have a 10+ vote in tribunal is actually because that guy happened to be the main character of Town of Salem, so their plot armor kicked in and made it so the votes didn’t immediately hang them. Unfortunately, the game realized plot armor doesn’t exist, so that’s why the hang eventually went through.
In an ideal world sure but too many people threw with the roles and it was frustrating. Personally I think Dep and Pros should have to wait til day three.
You know what? I'd have to check whispers to check but it'd make sense how baker died to crus if 11/13/marsh knew who each other were, cause I was thinking why would baker want to try to bread Marshal? (who else would crus be on right?) But it'd make sense if crus was on soc when baker got killed.
W Pipe, I love your content and I am excited to see if this deputy actually got reworked or if it is your first time playing as the reworked deputy! Also LOL, seriously pipe, why did you do that asap!
Not confirmed and useless the rest of the game other than as a vote. Maybe there's a middle ground to be had, but taking out 2 townies from one misplay was too harsh and the game needed to slow down.

Stoned People's Roles
12 was Coven Leader. Yes. That is a mechanic.
Without the necronomicon you may stone gaze your teammates
What strikes me as interesting for the new Deputy is that it's possible to *claim* a miss, and then hold your bullet for later on
Claim a miss on what? Faking info as town is an easy way to get lynched.
I like this Dep a LOT more than the "TIME TO THROW!" Dep.
ye and now its not the exact same as a pros anymore
Can I just point out the "Do you like me SK?" guy was also Cov.
Also the mobius betrayal by neutrals.
